MCG service is great. Much cheaper than other providers and great uptime. I've been very satisfied with them.

Downloaded this app just so I could write a review. If I could give a negative rating I would. I…read morehave had Mediacom internet for almost a year. This is the worst internet provider. They have great customer service and they help as much as they can (which is very little) but they are always very nice. I have had 4 modem router combos from the company. In less than a year... I pay for a gig and the fastest internet they have and probably every other month I need to have a technician come and "fix" the issue. Last month I had a week where I didn't have internet and they didn't reimburse me or lower my bill. Then to top it off they gave me a different modem that isn't even made for gig service. So instead of calling them and trying to get them to "fix" it again... I bought my own modem and router. I haven't had any issues for about a month. Then a 5 minute thunderstorm takes out the internet which I understood and asked to be notified when everything g was back up and running. I was notified about 20 minutes later and still no internet. Then late throughout the conversation with the representative I told him there was an outage reported about 40 minutes ago. He said that the outage wasn't resolved yet! Then why was I notified that is was resolved?! Xfinity needs to expand into the Midwest or at least Iowa because Mediacom isn't cutting it. Rant over.

Was good until it wasn't…read more.. Installation went well, solid speeds, and a decent price. However, make sure you specifically ask the installer what equipment is yours and what needs to be returned when you cancel. There doesn't seem to be an easy way for a customer to know what equipment is associated with their account, and apparently missing equipment can get expensive. When I cancelled, I returned everything I was aware I needed to return and was told I was good to go. Two months later, I received a charge for missing equipment simply listed as "not returned - modem." I called to clarify and was told, "Oh no, you did return the modem, but there was another device that wasn't returned. That's just how we charge for missing equipment." What? I ultimately paid the charge to avoid having it potentially sent to the credit bureaus, but the whole situation was pretty frustrating. If you're cancelling service, I'd strongly recommend getting a specific list of every piece of equipment associated with your account and written confirmation of what needs to be returned.

We never expressed interest in switching from our current provider. My wife refused permission and the tech drove away in his truck after a few minutes. We did not request this "service" and won't sign up for anything with this company!" Addendum: At 4:45 PM on the same day, a truck trailing a "Ditch Witch" began working across the avenue from our house, i.e., no longer on our property. Within 20 minutes, an ImOn truck pulled up and parked ahead of it. Although this truck left, another (or the same) subsequently pulled up next to our property with a trailer in tow that held 2 huge rolls of underground cable. We spoke with the crew (mostly the foreman) for a few minutes to express our concerns. The foreman maintained that we should have received a "blue flyer" from ImOn that would have informed us about the project.
