The problem started when attempting to schedule the day prior. During business hours, I called, left messages, and emailed. I did not receive any response (and still haven't received any acknowledgment e-mail). I physically went there in attempt to schedule for the following day, but the doors were locked and it was dark inside (it was about 2:00 pm on a weekday). Went back about an hour later and doors were still locked and it looked like cleaning service was inside, it was dark. I had called right when they opened the next day, someone actually answered, lol. She (not very nicely) stated that they had one opening but only in the morning (obviously not ideal, we were hoping to end our trip with a relaxing spa afternoon experience). We had just arrived at a different establishment for breakfast and accepting that one opening meant hoping back into the ride-share and rushing back, which we did (without breakfast). They did accept my mom and I both for that opening but there was no accommodating my husband. I asked for the "girlfriend package", from their spa menu, and the lady said "nope, you can each only have a 50 minute massage, otherwise you won't get booked". Why have a spa menu if it's not honored? She said "the aesthetician is out until Sunday" (this is Friday and we were leaving early Saturday). Why have one aesthetician for the entire resort? The massage was okay but I couldn't get past the poor customer service. I felt physically pushed more than massaged. I felt my feet were avoided (and I am a very clean person). This spa offers nothing for a "spa day" experience. There's no treatment baths or sauna, etc., at least nothing that we were offered. For a spa day experience, I suggest you go elsewhere. If you must go here, start trying to schedule way in advance, as your calls/emails may not get answered for days (if at all) and there might not be anyone working on the day you are hoping for. I wish we had gone elsewhere. This spa has potential but needs to be expanded with more staff (more therapists and aestheticians). They need to be more accommodating and customer-centric. The front desk person definitely needs to be more customer service oriented. Ruined an entire day of our stay. read more

The spa was lovely and Alma was fantastic. I got an 80 min massage with a scalp massage enhancement. I fell asleep, that's how relaxing it was. It can get a little pricey, and they require a 50% deposit to secure the space. Otherwise, it was a relaxing experience. read more

Best medical massage I have had ever!! I have been getting massages for 35 years. Yang is so good that I have never been able to get rid of knots from my lyme disease. He takes the medical approach, not fluff and buff and not hurting you as you don't need to if done the right way! Everyone was very professional and personableZ the massages really hit the spot and they were very knowledgeable about the body and knew my personality based on how I was in the massage...ex I had a hard time relaxing so she knew i was a type A personality who holds a lot of stress in a variety of areas. My esthetician at my facial was very knowledgeable as well and engaged in great conversation. The only reason I'm not giving 5 is not because of the staff or services but the massage tables were hard and the blankets were very thin so I was cold. Other than that it was all amazing. I had the 80 minute lomi lomi massage with the hand treatment add on. My massage therapist, Ruth Samuel, was amazing! She friendly and welcoming, and used the perfect amount of pressure in each stroke. She found all the tight knots in my shoulders and worked them out in a way that wasn't painful. My hands felt soft and rejuvenated by the end of the session. I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. The lobby and the massage room were beautifully decorated, and the Hawaiian music enhanced the experience. Called to set up two massages for the $40 yelp check-in special that is currently on their page. The woman who answered said "Oh, we don't honor yelp. That's really old." She then proceeded to quote me a price that was over triple what their yelp special says it should be. Pretty awful customer service. Wish I had yelped first before booking: facial with Ashley was great. Massage with (don't remember tall black woman short hairs name) was terrible... I mean terrible. She made the experience uncomfortable from the beginning when i asked her to apply more pressure. Light to medium does not mean fingertip pressure and when I asked her to apply a smidge more pressure she insinuated I wanted her to damage her fingers? I'm like wha?? Never asked if I enjoyed my massage and gratuity was automatically applied so no incentive to make the customer happy. Literally the worst message I've ever experienced. read more

I have had many massage and facials in my life. Some at 5 star spas and some at massage schools. This was by far the worst massage I have ever experienced. Massage students have better technique. The massage therapist had NO deep tissue technique other than to rub her elbow along my spine. Even if I had only paid for a "relaxing" massage rather than a deep tissue massage I would have been disappointed. It was as if she didn't understand where the muscles are located. My facial experience was equally as disappointing. The practitioner was sweet, but the facial was lacking and the smell of cigarette smoke and coffee breath was distracting and unprofessional. Take the resort shuttle anywhere down the strip or grab an Uber/Lyft to Aveda or one of the off strip spas. I paid slightly more for hands down the best massage I've ever had at Vdara two days after this experience. read more

I believe the therapists name is Ruth and she paid attention to the areas I mentioned and hit the right spots and pressure. This was a very disappointing experience not only was it expensive, but I got the massage therapist that decided it was OK to take advantage of my body. His name was Jan (yawn) he had a very friendly demeanor, which at first I appreciated. I had told him specifically and very CLEARLY I did not want my butt massaged. Not only did he do it anyway he did it barehanded with half of my body at a time almost completely exposed. It wasn't just massaging the muscles either. He was completely groping my body, from one end to the other. He also lifted the sheet up entirely, basically exposing my whole body more than once. He expected me to turn over while he could see under the sheets. When he first walked into the room he said "I hope you're in-descent!" My sister also had a male massage therapist and they were RIGHT NEXT TO US! I'd hate to see what he would do if someone was alone. I completely froze when it was happening and wish I would've been brave enough to say stop. Unfortunately I wasn't but that NEVER should be a thing to take advantage of someone else's body. My mom and I both went last week. My mom got a facial and I a hot stone massage. The spa itself is very small, but seemed clean. They take you directly from the receptionist area to your room (no separate relaxation room). They don't offer any robes or beverages before your service. Everyone was fairly welcoming, but I didn't get a warm and fuzzy feeling from my massage therapist. My mom said her facial was fine, but nothing special. She used a hot mister thing and various lotions. My mom had to keep asking her what she was doing/using on her. My massage was the same, fine but not anything great. Very soft touch used. My mom paid $105 +20% tip for my massage, but I see there is a yelp special for $39.99 now. It's value is more in that range for sure. Wouldn't recommend, won't be going back. Worst 80 min massage ever. Felt like she was just pushing lotion around. Asked for med pressure and was told that I didn't get to choose my preasure, even though the description said light to medium pressure. Never touched my feet . Freezing in the room with a fan blowing directly on the bed. Appointment was for 2pm the therapist told me I was done at 311pm. Therapist never asked if everything was good, didn't offer water or anything. Asked for refund and was told by the manager Carol that she had to talk so to someone higher than her for a refund. Went to check out of the resort Tahiti Village followed up at checkout and the manager told me that he got a an email from the spa stating they would not refund me but no one ever contacted me directly. read more

Had a nice classic facial for a $100. enjoyed the facial very much, the massage on the other hand was pretty much a waste of time, I believe her name was Charlene, tall black woman, I felt like she was either new or just did not want to be there. This was by far one of the worst massages I have ever experienced. I asked the receptionist if I could schedule a massage that could concentrate on my head, neck, and shoulders. She replied absolutely, and recommended the deep tissue. Upon entering the massage room and sharing what I needed from the session the massage therapist asked if I wanted a scalp massage add-on. I declined, and said I wanted the scalp to be part of the 50 minute massage and to focus on my next and shoulders. She spent the majority of the massage on my back, stretched my neck and touched my head at the very end, with no scalp massage. Half way through the massage I shared that I was cold and asked for the blanket twice and the therapist laughed.
