I was looking forward to my appointment till I get the call from her scheduling team, Paulina regarding the need to reschedule the next day. Not a problem as I didn't take 1/2 day off or anything. Note her location is within Genesis Integrated Medicine (same suite), as soon as you walk in, you can check-in on your right, Ari's room is on your left. Plenty of parking although all the covered parking are reserved. :( It's a rectangular room, sink and other equipment are on one end, it looks like the room is divided with a huge curtain (not sure what's on the other end but nobody was there at the time) Ari will do a quick chat with you to see if there's any problem areas you want her to focus on which is a nice touch. Once I made myself comfortable, I got on the massage table and first thing I immediately noticed is how comfy it is! I mean, I feel like I'm floating via the clouds.. one can really take a good nap here. The draping are also nice and fuzzy, the room is kept cool so it's just right. As for Ari's massage techniques, there's a few I've never even tried. 1st up is the massage gun, yes believe it or not I've never tried this, I'm a bit surprised on the amount of pressure comes out. 2nd is cupping, never had this done before, it feels a bit strange at first, and initially you'll definitely feel the pain but that eases shortly after. The suction noise reminds me someone kissing and a giant goldfish just took a bite out of me and won't let go! Also note once you did your first cupping, you'll notice those marks (I had about 6-7 cups on each side. It's not visible as long as you wear short sleeve shirts but definitely wouldn't want to hit up the pool looking like this. :) Also note the marks will eventually go away after 8-9 days. There's a bit of stretching but not a lot (compared to the Thai combo massage I normally get, and definitely no back walking) Overall I really enjoyed the massage. I would definitely do more time if I can on my next visit. And as for cupping. I'll skip it as it wasn't my cup of tea. But I had to try it once. Payment was easy as she can use the existing credit card when I booked the appointment. Note there's no extra charge for credit card transaction and you leave a tip all in one go.
