I purchased a 2017 Ford Raptor from Maguire's Ford of Campbelltown. Initially, they were awesome to deal with. The salesperson was great. I am not upset with the salesperson at all! They worked with me on my trade-in and got me the best price. That being said, there have been a lot of bumps along the way. My truck has been in the service shop at least 5-6 times for major repairs from VCT solenoid, brakes, axle transmission being rebuilt, and the timing cover leaking. Normally, other people would have gotten rid of their vehicle a lot sooner, but being that it was just purchased, I did not want to take a hit financially. Thankfully, I had a warranty that covered all these repairs. I personally would not use their service department in Campbelltown because I was getting laughed at by the service manager at that location. Then I had to get a hold of the general parts and service manager, because that manager did not feel that my vehicle needed any repairs before the transmission and passenger side axle needed done. He told me those components were fine. In the beginning, Frank was awesome to deal with and took great care of making sure that my vehicle was in the shop, fixed, and back to me as quickly as they could. Now I'm trying to get a hold of them regarding an issue with my vehicle and I can't reach any of the upper management. They all send me to voicemail or do not answer my calls or texts. I spent good money at this dealership for a truck, and it's been at the dealership with issues more than I've driven it. All I can say is I made a big mistake by buying that vehicle from them. It's been nothing but a headache. I have mixed reviews and mixed feelings about this dealership. I tried to trade this vehicle on another raptor that they had, and we were just too far apart on payment and price. I also contacted the Campbelltown store and got the general manager because I was upset that my vehicle was in the shop more than it was at my house. His answer was well, is your vehicle fixed? What kind of question is that? IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN LOOKED OVER COMPLETELY, because all this stuff does not happen right away! They tried to do the least possible to get it out the door, and it ended up being a problem for me and the dealership. I asked for some kind of compensation like credits towards accessories, which they would get the money back since I am spending at their dealership!! Or even make one of the car payments since it's been at the shop more than I had it, but all he could offer me was an oil change. I'm just very disappointed. I have family that bought from them, so I decided to give them a shot as well, and it has not been a good relationship so far. Yes they repaired my vehicle, but it seems to have to go back at least once a month with some kind of issue. A couple of these issues were major repairs. All I can say is before you buy a vehicle, please make sure you get all the service history on the vehicle, because obviously this vehicle was a lemon. It should have been sent to auction with all the issues it had. They argued saying they had to put money into it when it came in from a trade-in, but having all these issues right up front is ridiculous. It is unfair for a customer to have to put up with! The truck has run marks on the fender flares from someone spraying and letting something dry on my fender flares not happy won't this dealership at all! 2019 Transit Connect ABS module replacement and programming. Derek, the Service Manager, covered for his buddy, the professional tech. Four screws were removed from the cowl by the qualified and trained Ford tech, and three loose ones made it back. The fourth, which supports the brake fluid reservoir, was omitted. Why? In a hurry? Didn't care? Is too much effort required? Dropped it in the engine bay and said the h*ll with it, the customer will never know? FOUR bolts, you missed 25% because you don't care. The brake reservoir bounces freely as the vehicle goes down the road. Ford designed plastic fittings under hydraulic pressure capable of supporting this weight? If so, they would have saved a penny and omitted the support bolt themselves. Or does the tech know more than Ford engineers? 5,000 miles from now, when my kids are driving on the interstate, and the reservoir or fittings decide to crack and drain all the brake fluid, they will be killed as there will be no brakes. But that's okay Derek the Service Manager says, the tech "doesn't remember" if he took those bolts out, so he's not to blame. The tech also doesn't know if he needed to take those out to R&R the ABS module. Well, he did remove them. No one else has worked on this vehicle other than oil changes in 51,000 miles. Just your buddy, Derek. I understand your job is to de-escalate the situation and get the PO'd customer off the phone. I also understand Maguire's Ford techs have the apathetic attitude they do because Derek has the same. But that's okay, they aren't your kids. How can the customer ever prove fault for wrongful death thousands of miles later? This is a simple bolt the tech chose not to reinstall, which is required to support a vital safety component. IS it floating around in the engine bay after he dropped it? What harm will that cause? If the tech couldn't care less about a simple 8mm bolt, what else did he do, or did not do, that I have yet to discover? He's shown he doesn't care about the simple things, how lazy was he with the more important? Thank God I didn't allow this tech to do any further work. What else would he have "not remembered" when Derek asked him? To be fair, Derek said they would replace the bolt, if I drive the 45 minutes to him. 1) Why would I drive 45 minutes one way for your buddy to fix his intentional omission when he chose not to do a simple task correctly the first time? 2) No way in h*ll is Maguire's getting their hands on any of our vehicles again. I'd sooner trust the Vo-Tech kids to have more ethics and pride in their work. 3) One of your peers ( Not you, Derek) offered a mobile tech to come to me and replace the bolt. I appreciated the gesture but declined. That was a stand-up, responsible act by a guy who should be running the service department. Thank you. I would prefer a non-dealer shop inspect Maguire's "Ford professionally trained" work and repair any defects found. Very disappointing. Went there for collision repair after being hit in MD. Initial contact was unusual, with service desk reprimanding me for being late. After an initial repair, I went to my car to see scratches down the length of my van. They offered to buff out, claimed they weren't responsible, but they did fix them. Just after the initial rear repair, my lift gate stopped working correctly and eventually stopped opening all together. They asked me to stop back down, however, I put it back through Allstate. I returned for the repair, they claimed that they couldn't get it reproduce. Literally for 3 weeks, it gradually was getting worse to the point where it would't' open at all. They went on to say, it wasn't part of the repair and I would need to go to Toyota for service. I left very unhappy with their accusations of false claims on my part, with a 2023 Toyota Sienna with a lift gate that didn't work. My husband went on to examine the lift gate to easily SEE, that they had removed the parts during the first repair, and misaligned them. The paint was stripped off the screws they had removed, even after claiming they never touched them. My HUSBAND adjusted the device that was visibly scraping and causing the friction, with the visible paint worn off. It opened easily then. I reported to Allstate, they are following up with Toyota to make sure they completed the rest of the repair. They were way too quick to say I was wrong, they never touched it, and they weren't responsible. Do not go there for Collision repair. read more

I will simply say that when sold a used vehicle, I was told it would be detailed. It was not. When I asked about it, I was assured by Chuck, the internet sales guy, that it was. Even though he had never looked at it nor did Adam, the salesman who I spent seven whole minutes with and never went over the final work done. Took our Ford Escape to their service department three times for whistling/whine coming from under the engine, told it was normal, then told it was lid to air filter, then just normal turbo noise. In July get recall notice from Ford on transmission shifter bushings, though replacement parts are not available, will be notified by dealership when available but not to worry, it is still safe to drive. Two days after warranty expires transmission goes out completely while spending weekend out of state. Towed to nearest out-of-state Ford dealership and they immediately identify the noise as the transmission shifter motor and don't understand why Maguire's never fixed it the first time (while under warranty). New rebuilt transmission is $6000, Ford won't back their dealership's mistake and tell us to go back to Maguire's to see if they will help. Maguire's Service Manager says there is nothing they can do because they are "only a dealership" even though they failed to fix it while under warranty. Sent documentation to State Attorney General. Will be notifying Better Business Bureau next. They just lost a lifetime Ford customer. AVOID THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT SINCE THEY ARE "ONLY A DEALERSHIP" FOR ANYTHING BUT ROUTINE MAINTENANCE YOU COULD DO YOURSELF. ONE STAR IS TOO HIGH A RATING AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE. UPDATE: Just got the notice from Ford Motor Company that the parts under recall are now available and their records indicate we have not had the bushings replaced. They said they had the Bronco in my color and just my options wanted. I told them I wanted 26K for my pristine Titanium AWD Edge, Garage kept with only 29K miles on it (that is the lowest price this trim level, miles under 40K is selling for now on autotrader (59 found in 200 miles). I drove 2 hours in a bad snowstorm to find that she made a mistake and it had a 1K sunroof I didn't want, etc.. And then I was handed off to a trade in appraisal guy, who couldn't find anything wrong with it or mis quoted, but said we wont take it for more then 20K, I was so beaten up by "Sales techniques". But hey, they got me there. I just didn't stay long. I left fuming. These are "Professional" hard salespeople. Very unethical and wasteful of my time. They use the typical sales gimmicks and dirty tricks. The only good thing that came out of this is that surprised by a bad snow storm at night for our 2-hour drive home, the AWD Edge drove great (with only highway/ summer performance tires!) when other cars and 18 wheelers were getting stuck on very shallow upgrades. EDIT: Shortly after the purchase we realized that we had signed up for an extended warranty that wasn't going to work for us (8 years, 60k miles which was not enough miles for our driving habits). Tried to contact the dealership to cancel and buy a new, higher mileage warranty. Got a lot of run around and did not have a great experience with this step. Ended up just canceling altogether (which they did NOT make easy). Canceling took 5 emails and writing a letter. Then we were told we'd have to drive back in to the dealership (not what our contract says). Finally reached out to the management team and got a snarky voicemail about how I "didn't feel the process was smooth enough". No apology or anything. Best guess is they'll be nice to you as long as you're paying them, and if there's any bumps in the road, prepare for trouble. But the buying process was really very good. --- We just brought home our new 2018 Ford Fusion Energi Platinum. We love the car so far and we had a great experience with Jose and Nick at Maguire's Ford Lincoln. Jose was great to work with, and it was a very low pressure environment. He took us on an extensive test drive and explained some of the vehicle's features and gave us time to explore the vehicle and make sure it was the right one for us. He knew we weren't ready to make a decision that night, and he didn't push at all, just gave us his contact information and let us go. Once we were ready to purchase, he was great to work with. Since we were traveling about an hour to buy the vehicle, he was willing to do all of the work over phone and email. We were able to settle on a price, lock down financing terms, etc. Then when we came in everything was ready to go. Nick, the finance manager, was also really easy going. He explained some of our options with protection plans, gap insurance, etc. but didn't push us to buy anything we didn't want. Very different from your usual "go meet the finance guy" nightmare. Once the paperwork was done, it was time to head home with our new car. The car was freshly washed, fully charged and had a full tank of gas. The worst experience I have ever had trying to purchase a vehicle. They did not keep their word and tried to make alternate deals with financing when we already had a loan and asked them not to. They didn't keep their word with timing. We said we were in a time crunch and when we waited over 2 hours and had to leave. We asked if we could do paperwork the next day. We were told no. They were not interested in keeping us as a customer. I called back today and was told by their general manager that he apologized for my opinion but not for how poorly we were treated. My wife and I ordered a 2023 Lincoln Aviator. Salesman said it would be 6-8 weeks when we get the car. Long story short because manufacturers and chips etc It took 6 months for the car to finally arrive at dealership . So on 11/11-2022 went to dealership to pick up our new car, we had waited on. It was raining on this day so I thought at least they would keep our new car we worked hard to save for inside, out of rain so we could appreciate finally getting our new car. Well it was sitting in the rain, sadly. When we went into the building the sales person brought it into the bay, the car was wet, but it looked great! Sales person opened tailgate and the first thing my wife and I noticed was that they had ordered the wrong seats for the back seats. We asked for bench seat that could be folded down for our wonderful puppies, but instead we got captains chairs which in no way would work for our dogs. My wife was so upset and livid she would not even get in the car, because after 6 months of waiting, interest rates going up and up, we were not going home in our new car. this vehicle was supposed to be my wife car our new family car and I would take her car so I could drive to work with AWD. I have never seen my wife so sad. After watching my mother pass away this year, her nephew killed and her father struggling with stage 4 cancer right now. She had something to look forward to that was new and give her some hope. Not on 11/11 a day we were also going to celebrate Veterans Day since I am a 100 percent disabled veteran. My understanding is that the General Manager said he didn't know the whole story of what happened with Todd. Therefore, the General Manager didn't call ME to find out what happened. I feel misleading giving Maguires Ford in Palmyra 1 star. It's far too generous. We found a great pre-owned vehicle on Autotrader and quickly set up a test drive. The salesman was new and quite nice. We were happy with the vehicle. We had already secured our financing with our credit union and told them this. We also told them exactly where we needed to be on the deal. I explicitly asked to have them bypass the back and forth between the manager and salesperson. Having sold cars I knew exactly what they were going to do and say and was correct. They acted like a car sales organization that makes people hate care dealerships and salespeople. They didn't listen. We said we wanted a cash price, no add-ons, did not want to explore financing options through them, and no warranty. Eventually we got the deal we were ok with and left to sleep on it. The next day we were ready to buy. My wife had to teach an evening class and we said we'd be in at 5 to get all the paperwork done that she needed to sign. Then my son would take her home and I'd finish up and drive our new purchase home. I told our salesperson this and he said no problem...they'd be ready for us. We got there at 5:05 and of course we were told they weren't ready for us. We sat. Waited. Salesperson came out and said they were looking for better financing options for us. What??!! No. We were explicit about this. Finally at 6 we were still waiting and we had to go. Salesperson told us they finally got the paperwork ready and we could start. We ran out of time. We had a thirty minute drive home and my wife needed to be at her class by 6:30. No problem...we will come back tomorrow. At this point the GM Todd K. comes out and tells us they are ready and that if we leave they won't give us the same deal tomorrow. "It's the last day of the month!" He says. I let him know that if the deal is good today then it is good tomorrow unless he is unwilling. He said the same thing. I told him we will take our business elsewhere as he literally shouted at us "it's the end of the month! It's only a couple hundred dollars!" How unprofessional and juvenile. He was arrogant and condescending when speaking to us. My wife called him the next day to air her complaint to him and he never apologized...only that he apologized for her opinion. Not his unprofessional actions. Long story short, we bought elsewhere. Same vehicle. Same condition. I simply cannot recommend this dealership. I'm just passing through and need an oil change on my 2013 6.7 diesel. I called the service dept and asked how much. The guy said about $95. I said "about?". How much is about? He asked another person and they about $120. I said "about?". He saiid it depends on the amount of quarts of oil it takes. I said don't they all take the same? I would never ever recommend them to ANYONE. Saddling a customer with a $300-$350 tow bill when a closer option was available just shows they are out to make money and not take care of their customers. We bought a non ford vehicle from a ford dealer a distance away because they had the kind of car we were looking for. We had purchased the premium warranty to cover any incidental issues that may occur. Unfortunately that happened. The clutch went out, so we had it towed to the closest ford dealer-Maguire's Ford- as per the warranty suggested. Since it wasn't a ford product they had it towed to a dealer that could do the work. Had it repaired then brought back. Come to find out the tow bill could have been cheaper or nonexistent if they chose a closer dealer to perform the repair. Now I have a car I haven't seen in 3 weeks with no rental car offered even though, come to find out , we were supposed to get one for at least 10 days. Now I have a a large bill I'm not sure how we can pay and no one wants to budge on. This is how they treat veterans it breaks my heart. We had a $100 deductible, that's what we saved for and now we are beyond stressed out and still don't have our car. read more

More dealership BS. I had a local garage replace an alternator and I replaced the battery, all in the last 8 months. When it died again, I decided to use the dealer. A search of Google for "Expedition charging problems" brought back 1000's of results; mostly about a bad wiring harness issue. I called Maguire's service and told them I suspected a wiring issue since the alternator and battery were new. Maguire's told me it was likely from using non-OEM parts. First jab. I expected that pitch. They then installed and removed THREE new alternators before they called me and said "it's not the alternator." After consulting with Ford's Tech line, they found a bad wiring harness. Wait, what? The same thing I found on Google? Here's the best part. The service tech called and said "well, we're only going to charge you for one altnernator swap?" 2nd jab. Nice try bro. You do bad troubleshooting, but want me to pay for part of it? No sir. Then they inflated the tow bill by $40 (an independent company that I found and had tow to the shop). There's the final uppercut. Yes, the tow guy bills them $83 and Maguire's put a $40 surcharge on that. I CALLED THE TOW GUY AND TOOK THE KEYS TO HIM AND MAGUIRE'S MAKES $40??? So I emailed this story to Maguire's president and one of his managers emailed me back. Basically, he said my Google search was no good (I never said it was the Bible, I just said it's obviously being talked about online), and that they have never seen such an issue before. He then vigorously defended his tech's certifications and training and denied they did anything poorly. Oh, and a $100 service credit for the NEXT time I come in. Yeah, hold your breath on that one friend. Maybe I'm their first bad wiring Expedition. I'll accept that. But, jacking up my bill TWICE and then trying to downplay my input totally? That's junk. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL GARAGE THAT ACTUALLY WANTS YOUR BUSINESS. read more

I'm writing this after purchasing a used vehicle from Maguire's Ford. I saw the vehicle on cars.com and scheduled an appointment to see it. I was greeted promptly for the appointment to show me the car and make the sale. Of course not so prompt with the appointment to sign paperwork. I waited an hour. While in the process of signing, I learned that they did not get the interest rate promised (despite my near perfect credit). The manager shrugged it off saying that the difference in my monthly payment was minimal. I get the vehicle home and see a body flaw. In retrospect, the salesman did a good job concealing it r/t how it was parked and by rushing me to the waiting area. Of course when contacted about this, they refuse to fix the blemish. So far, the car itself is working well, but I would advise someone looking to purchase a vehicle to go elsewhere. I would not recommend this dealer's collision center based on my experiences. They offered an estimate that was very wrong on both price and time needed. I had work performed in 2010 that offered a warranty from them for the life of the vehicle. Since I had a rental and they had my car, I asked they revisit their work from 2010 and fix some bubbling paint where they had painted the hood. They agreed and said it would be fixed when I picked the car up. While they had the car they called me to ask if I wanted to update my handles at my expense, something that had been covered at the time of estimate and was marked on the paperwork they had. The insurance must have stopped accepting their requests for supplemental work. They never once mentioned their was an issue with the requested warranty repair. The final bill was almost double the original estimate, and the warranty repair had not been touched. When I questioned them, they said they were not responsible. They claimed to not have worked on that part of the hood. Well maybe that is the problem today since that was where the damage had been done in that accident. The staff was exceedingly rude and unhelpful. A manager called with an attitude just to let me know he was returning my voicemail rant I had left him. He mentioned on multiple occasions that I had not requested a return call, which was correct. That is why I was so confused as to why he did call with an attitude. Beware of Phil in the Service dept. He is rude, condescending, and contradicts himself. I brought my Lincoln in for a warranty repair, that throughout the conversation is continually referred to as "if it's covered" he looked up the part under my VIN and told me the part was covered, yet continued to be vague, as if it might not be, I would know once the repairs were made. They did a complimentary car wash that had I known would cause more work for me with all the water spots and dirt left on the car I wouldn't have wasted the water it took. 3 Days later my vehicle is making the same noise, now WORSE! Phil was just as rude and now defensive during this scheduling and wasn't sure again, if I'd need to pay another $100 deductible for my warranty. They had the car ALL day, finally at 435 I called since their service dept closes at 5 to find out what the status of my car was. Phil was in the middle of my paperwork and didn't know yet what the bill would be!
