They will schedule you for more maintenance than you requested without knowing. They will also say you need deep cleanings and diagnose you incorrectly to get more money. I have since gone to new dentists and they are confused why I was getting deep cleanings and diagnosed the way I was. Some of the hygienists are great I will say and some are very judgmental, rude, and aggressive. Overall don't recommend anymore.

I first started seeing Dr. Markeson after I moved to Seattle from AZ, where I had a dentist who tried to give me 4 crowns (got a 2nd opinion in AZ). In my youth I also had sort of negative dentist experiences causing me to avoid the dentist if possible. Dr. Markeson took the time to explain procedures (he recommended fixing my old fillings by replacing them with new fillings) and definitely took the time to let me ask questions and address any concerns. I visited his office regularly for dental cleanings and also Invisalign. I actually tried to continue coming to the office once I got married and moved to Tacoma, but alas! My dental insurance changed and it seemed like a big effort to make it the distance with a small child at home. I recently visited Dr Markeson for a cleaning again. There was a small mixup where I thought my insurance could work, but it didn't. I paid out of pocket for my dental cleaning and got to ask Dr Markeson some questions about dental procedures that a dentist in Tacoma was recommending. I felt a lot more informed when I left. Also I brought my small kiddo to hang out and use an iPad while I had my appt, no issues! My dental cleaning and x rays were thorough and easy, no issues.

Even though I was there for a whole two hours and endured some X-ray pain and prickling to my gums... it was good. I know a lot more about my teeth and learned that I have a cavity on my wisdom tooth. FML. But anyway, the service was EXCEPTIONAL. Loretta at the front desk was so helpful and friendly!!! Devorie, who was the lead assistant, was super awesome and kind. When she was taking my x-rays and stuffing the slides into my mouth, she made sure that I was comfortable and that I wasn't in too much pain, she was so thoughtful. I really liked her. Dr. Hsu was cool too, I asked him a lot of questions about my teeth and he was glad that I asked because people normally just want their teeth done and be done with everything.
