Vanilla ice cream, milk chocolate dip, crushed graham cracker, nuts, brownies, and drizzled with white chocolate.

Everyone knows Magnum ice cream. This location allows you to first, choose a plain vanilla or chocolate ice cream bar. Second, you choose what kind of chocolate you want it dipped in, white, milk, or dark. Third, you choose up to three toppings. Finally, you choose what kind of chocolate you want drizzled on top of it all. All that for €5.50, or €5.90 with an espresso. I chose crushed graham crackers, nuts, and brownies. For the most part, it's just like any Magnum ice cream bar you can get in the store. The toppings didn't taste fresh and didn't add any benefit to the ice cream bar itself. It was pretty neat to see them prepare it, but don't think I'd go back and get another one when I get almost get two from the market.

I ate mine in the steps, right on the side of the canal : )

It's expensive 5.50 euro for one bar...but who doesn't want to blow money on making a custom magnum bar so I had to! You get one choice ice cream (chocolate or vanilla), one chocolate dip (white, milk or dark) and three toppings-plus a 'decorative' chocolate drizzle of choice. I would have loved a different choice in ice cream flavors (raspberry is my favorite magnum flavor) but like Victor Frankenstein it's all about the experience of creation. So get crazy, It's Alive! Lol. And fun. Magnum Bar creation- vanilla ice cream dipped in dark chocolate with almonds, hazelnuts and mix chocolate balls. Drizzle white chocolate.

After eating a large amount of gelato everywhere, we decided to stop by the Magnum store. It wasn't very busy when we got in and were immediately greeted by two friendly individuals. I read in previous reviews there were some service concerns, but luckily our experience was very polite and efficient. They explained how the create your own magnum bar worked and there are also picture explanations on the wall. You can pay extra to sit in or outside the building, or just walk around with your ice cream. The magnum bar comes from the package, but without any chocolate coating on top. You can pick from 3 chocolate coats and multiple toppings. Top it all off with a drizzle for a delicious experience. From the pictures I saw online, the toppings are seasonable and all may not be available at all times. We had almonds, cornetto and chocolates, plus marshmallows. It's a large portion, but oh so delicious. It may be a bit touristy, but a great way to have a delicious treat and keep strolling.

DIY magnum bars?! Ummm yes please! And at only €5, it was a lot less expensive than I expected! It's located right across the bridge next to the train station but it surprisingly wasn't too busy and the workers were fairly efficient. Although it doesn't have as many options as the magnum in New York, this was still pretty satisfying. You get to pick a base (vanilla or chocolate ice cream bar), a dipping chocolate (white, milk, dark), up to 3 toppings, and then a chocolate for the finishing drizzle. So much fun to see your creation come to life! And of course it's quality ice cream and chocolate because it is magnum after all. I got really excited when I saw this in Venice but they're apparently fairly common in Italy because I also came across one in Rome and it was a little cheaper there too. I'd definitely recommend taking a break from all the gelato and making yourself a customized magnum bar here :)

If you're a fan of magnum ice cream is this is a must visit! The selection of toppings and ice cream are great! It caters to all sorts of taste buds. Pairing your ice cream with an espresso shot gives you a nice little taste of Italy as they love their espresso! (Plus it's only €.50 more so why not!) Watch outs: The employees are a little crabby and not the friendliest. This is from multiple experiences not just one day. We went 3 times during our week long trip. Also MAKE SURE you are not eating your ice cream on the steps of the bridge located out front of the store. You will receive a €200 fine for eating in public. Make sure you are either paying a little extra to sit at the Magnum stores seating (yes they charge you to sit) or walk and enjoy the ice cream.

Omg omg omg this place was the most amazing ice cream experience ever!!! For €5 you get to choose your popsicle flavor (vanilla or chocolate), three toppings, a base coat flavor (dark, milk, or white chocolate), and then a drizzle flavor (same as base coat). Soooooo delicious & so fun! Loved every minute of it :)

Tourist Trap - Get a magnum bar from your local grocery store. Drizzle some caramel on it, add a few toppings. Wait in line for 10 minutes and pay 4.50 Euros (approx $5USD). That is the equivalent experience.

Across the bridge from the train station, we waited here for our train to arrive. It is clean, and has fast and friendly service. Ice Cream, coffee, and pastries

Excellent gelato and genuinely friendly service…read more Dennis was our server and he could not have been nicer or more helpful. I asked for recommendations and his were all on point, including the changing daily special flavor. Today's was dark chocolate and it was the best gelato we have had on this multi city Italian tour, and Venice is city #10 on this tour for us! In fact it was so good my family of four went back after dinner for a second helping and to try other flavors. We experienced the same fast and friendly service from Dennis, and the same outstanding quality and deliciousness from the gelato. Highly recommend grabbing gelato here for anybody visiting. You will not regret it!

According to our guide, he explained that this place was selected not only because it's still family owned...but in addition to organic ingredients...they've still held true to the process of making gelato, smaller batches without an excessive amount of sugar added as a preservative. I honestly can't say I've had any bad gelato since I've been in Italy. I can't say I have a super discerning palate, but if there are unique interesting flavors...that's a winner for me. My go to flavors usually include hazelnut or pistachio. At this place however, I had the ricotta cheese with honey and sesame seeds...highly recommend

So, I was super excited to stumble across this self serve gelateria close to the Rialto Bridge The shop is shiny and modern, especially in such a historic town as Venice. The staff are helpful and offer tasting of the gelato if you're not sure which flavour to choose. They haven't quite figured out using small sample cups yet, so you get a generous helping of samples They had 12 flavours on offer, a mixture of creamy gelatos and fruity sorbets. Both were amazing, especially considering they came out of machines. My fear that they'd taste like soft scoop ice cream proved unfounded. I chose a refreshing zingy tangerine sorbet and the girlfriend went for decadently luxurious vanilla They offer paper cups in 2 sizes as well as waffle cones and cups To finish off your creation, they offer a wide mix of sweet toppings, sauces and preserved fruit. Some fresh fruit might be a good addition for them to consider Payment is by weight. For our full small bowl, we paid 3.95 Euros

There were tons of flavors and even more toppings. They even had a whipped cream dispenser that was to die for. The milk flavor was especially good. I didn't care for the berry syrup(?) that I tried but my boyfriend was fond of it. The decor was really cool, everything in the store was white and everything added to the atmosphere of the store. Very clean and the employees were very nice and both spoke some english. Reasonable prices, about what I'd expect to pay a self-serve frozen yogurt place in America. Both my boyfriend's and my gelato was around €7. If I could take any piece of Italy home with me, it would be this geletaria.
