Had a great stay-cation here. Ellington suite was very comfortable and breakfast was fantastic. Highly recommended for a retreat in Hampton!

The pictures online absolutely do NOT do it justice. Our family of 3 (2 adults and a teenager) spent EIGHT days at this B&B and the location was beyond expectation! This place is a nature lover's dream. We listened to red wing blackbirds, cardinals, and great crested flycatchers sing to us from the trees. A Momma turkey brought her line of tiny babies out to walk across the yard several days in a row. Little boxed turtles scuttled across the yard. Deer popped in and out, frolicking around the property throughout the day. We watched a bald eagle sit in the tree nearby. Fish would jump in the water, herons would dive in and kayakers and small fishing boats went floating by. The pool was beautiful and immaculately kept. We stayed in the two bedroom Roosevelt retreat. It was beautiful! Beds were incredibly comfortable and the rooms were very spacious. The shower had cascading upper showerheads and mid level jets (similar to a high end luxury spa I once visited in Arizona). There was a jetted tub, luxurious shower products, comfy robes and slippers. Rooms were made every day and we were left mints on our pillows. What we loved even more than the beautiful location was the owners themselves. Paige and Mark felt like family by the end of our stay (the kind of family you LIKE to spend time with). They were incredibly generous, thoughtful, and kind. We found ourselves lingering over breakfast with them because they were just such lovely people. They made suggestions on restaurants (including the half price fish and chips!), places to see, things to maybe avoid. Watching them in the kitchen was like having a personal chef for an amazing breakfast every single morning. Everything from eggs benedict, breakfast quesadillas to a traditional English breakfast - never the same thing twice. On our last day, Mark asked our son if he had any special requests and our son opted for a second round of Frank Sinatra's favorite breakfast sandwich (who knew - but it was AMAZING!). They even wrapped up our leftover breakfast food each day so we could snack on it later. They offered hot coffee and orange juice every morning. We also had access to coffee, tea and various tasty snacks throughout the day. I ate way too many yummy brownies and cookies, and my son inhaled Paige's banana muffins. She even made an extra batch so he could take some home on the day we left. This was Southern hospitality and high class luxury at it's finest. Everything about this place was top notch. It was actually HARD to leave because we loved Paige and Mark and their little slice of heaven so much. I cannot recommend this place enough!!

Sadly, nothing has changed from the reviews from years past. I have to start with the cons because…read morethey outweigh the pros. Cons: 1) communication: horrible. I tried to contact them too many times via every platform they have. The response was weeks after the initial contact. Once I did receive a reply, I was to receive a phone call on a particular day that didn't occur until 3-4 days after the day scheduled. 2) communication: horrible. We were told upon check in the food voucher only covered beignets and coffee; not a full breakfast as listed at the time of booking and we could order breakfast from their restaurant and have the food delivered. When I called to place the order, I was told they can't accommodate a takeout order. ( Mind you, the restaurant is across the street from the accommodations) So, I requested the beignets and coffee covered by the voucher. They had no beignets and offered croissants. I pushed back and asked to speak to management. I was placed on hold for a prolonged period of time. The manager finally picks up and reiterates their inability to provide service. Only when I expressed I would never patronize any of their businesses again, did they suddenly have beignets and could accommodate a take out order. 3) communication: horrible The restaurant opened approximately 15 minutes late on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Patrons were waiting in a line that went down the block. We received our beignets on Saturday, didn't redeem them for Sunday as we had an affair to attend and the tardiness of the restaurant opening didn't allow us time to get food and make our affair on time. We tried to redeem it on Monday and the restaurant was closed. No notification was given. Customers were coming to eat only to find it closed. So, we paid for 3 days and only received one( with a fight I must add). I contacted Crystal who was to call me back in 5 minutes. That call never came. It's been 2 weeks today. Still waiting. 4) Linen: The linen is stained, mismatched, old and needs to be replaced. We had a towel that had some sort of black tar like substance on it. The sheets are paper thin and not of hood quality. Pros: 1) Location: The suites are located on a block with lots of restaurants and shops. Free street parking and a lot are readily available. 2) Decor: The suite was beautifully decorated. Darkening drapes provide excellent coverage. 3) Size: The suite is 2 bedrooms with a dining and sitting area. Lots of windows provide sunlight in all rooms. 4) Temperature: The suite has ceiling fans in both bedrooms and the sitting room as well as individually controlled air conditioners. Pro and con: Crystal Pro: Once I received a call from Crystal, she was efficient in ensuring we received breakfast on Saturday morning, offered to get us reservations for Sunday morning( not needed, we just wanted to redeem the voucher and figured we could do that on our own. That didn't work), getting new towels and she left a nice snack basket for us. Con: She never called me back regarding the closing of the restaurant on Monday nor was any type of compensation offered. Overall, I would NOT recommend staying at Panache Place if you expect to get anything other than nice accommodations and free parking. Top tier service is not on their menu.

There are never any appointments available for any dates I need and I have tried several times in the past year. Over the past year I have called several times and left my number asking for someone to call back to ask about booking and transferring the certificate. Since we are in the area I decided to stop by since the website shows they open at 10 am. Only to get there and no one is there. I saw a sign on the door for packages to be dropped off at the restaurant Mango Mangeaux so I decided to stop but there. The hostess called the individuals who work at the spa. No appointments available yet again and the original value of the $150 certificate is now $120 because apparently each month after a year it decreases by $10. I asked if I can transfer the remaining value of the certificate to a relative or friend only to be told no because my name is on it. I asked even though I don't live in the area and don't know when I will be back and even though I could just transfer it to someone we know in the area so someone can get a service even if it's not me. I was told they don't know what to tell me. I was then provided with the 800 number in the restaurant window that sent me to an answering service yet again! One which I will likely not get any response from as I haven't in a little over a year. I asked who manages the nail spa, I was told the ownership partners/ staff no names provided of couse. If they are under staffed the least they could do is be more flexible and accommodating when necessary. We have supported their other businesses before so I am definitely disappointed by the lack of customer service as far as returning my calls or providing me with any assistance. Apparently they are in the business of getting paid and not providing a service and are ok with it.

When I have tried to extend at other Hilton locations, I was not allowed to stay in the room unless it was available. So apparently this rule is not applied equally. The latch that went over the little knob on the door was missing. The room was a little dated. The carpet had what seemed to be fresh fruit punch stains. There were loose tiles in the bathroom floor in front of the tub/toilet which I could hear shifting as I entered and exited the shower or actually used the facilities. The sheets and pillow cases were clean with no stains or visible bugs. I prefer more firm beds which this bed was and it was very uncomfortable for me. Check in was pretty quick.
