I have been incredibly terrified of the dentist for decades, primarily because of trauma from previous dental work and interactions. My husband visited this office first and was so pleased with the staff and service that he encouraged me to give it a try. I am so thankful I did! I have been to the office multiple times for various treatments, and each time, they have been gentle, explained the necessary work thoroughly, and never pressured me into procedures I couldn't afford or didn't need immediately. DO NOT GO TO MAGNOLIA DENTAL!! They are taking advantage of people, or at least my young college kid, who doesn't really know better, and recommending dental work they absolutely do not need. This is at the Orlando, FL location near UCF with Dr Nguyen Nguyen My college age son missed his semi-annual cleaning at home, so I thought I did my research by finding a good dentist near UCF (who was rated well with our dental insurance no less), where he could just get his teeth cleaned and keep up to date, until his next visit with his usual dentist back home. I was informed in advance that as a new patient they would be taking full x-rays. WELL, my son called me immediately after the appointment, to tell me he was all done and checking out, and scheduling to get SEVEN cavities filled. What, Wait, Rewind!?!?! I told him to stop right there, do not schedule anything, and have those new x-rays emailed to us. So fast forward, his dentist at home squeezed him in when he was able to get home for an evaluation and review of the x- rays they took. His current dentist (who he has seen since his first tooth) had to take new x-rays because the ones provided by Magnolia were sub-par. And as I expected, he did not have even ONE cavity, and his dentist said he teeth looked exactly as his last appointment approximately 9 months ago. And fortunately, not only was his dentist was just happy to report that he had a clean bill of health, but he sent my son on his way without charging him a dime. I really couldn't believe it when my son said SEVEN cavities. That is insane! After I finish writing this review, I will be contacting my insurance company to let them know of the sub-standard service offered at this location by this dentist, and how I really feel like they are taking advantage of patients who are gullible and essentially scam them. I've been a patient for about 3 years and love this practice. The staff is very friendly, and caring. Pricilla usually answers the phone and is the sweetest ever, but most importantly, efficient and helpful. Little by little the rest of my family has transitioned to this dentist. My husband and our three children now come here also, 2 adult kids and one younger child, and they are all happy coming here as well. Dr. Nguyen is always in a good mood and has great energy. I always feel like he takes my questions and concerns into consideration and takes his time to respond to my concerns and explains things in a way that are easy for me to understand. I've seen many dentists throughout the years and can honestly say that I'm sticking with Magnolia Dental for a while. I'm so glad that I found them. I hate going to the dentist. I was hesitant to do Invisalign because of how small my mouth is and wasn't sure it would work. I took a chance and listened to Dr. Nguyen and his team, and I'm glad I did. This is the best dental office I've ever gone to, and the staff is very caring. During cleanings and the Invisalign process they would constantly check to make sure I was as comfortable as I could be, explained what they were doing, and friendly during all of my visits. I love talking to everyone. I've never had any issues with scheduling appointments or insurance. I've been going here for 6 months (2x cleaning and 20 weeks of Invisalign). Charged for a deep cleaning but it was a regular cleaning. I know what a deep cleaning is because I have had several and your gums are sore afterwards. The dental hygienist only worked on my teeth, and polished them afterwards. She did not work on my gum line! I asked her what procedure she was doing before she started and she stated it was a cleaning. I called back several times to dispute it but the receptionist refused to look into the matter and stuck to her story. I thought things seemed to be just way too perfect. I am filing a complaint with my dental insurance and moving on to another dentist. It is too bad because they seemed to be very professional, very clean, modern and orderly. I was very impressed by the friendliness of the staff, the service I received, and the comfort of the office. Dr. Nguyen cleaned my teeth and warned me about an abnormality with my gums that had been occurring for awhile but had never been mentioned by my previous dentists. He expressed his concern throughout my cleaning, and I felt like he truly cared about my health. During my appointment, I felt very comfortable in the office due to its clean but warm nature. I liked that there were TVs located in each dental work areas and could see that being a useful distraction for children or adults who dislike going to the dentist. read more

Dr. Nguyen has been my primary dentist for over 2 years since I had an emergency with root canal. He is honest and truthful about the services he provides. I was thinking I needed a crown after my root canal, but he suggested that a filling works just fine for my case. The staff is super friendly. Terrible office staff they changed and deleted my appointment several times on their own so I wasted a weekend planning for my wisdom teeth removal to find out it was deleted and once I finally got to my second wisdom teeth appointment no one had notified me that I wouldn't be put to sleep and even though It was a surprise I told them I was okay with it but it the doctor decided he would not perform surgery on me anymore because now he was nervous of the "lack of communication"... what? You wasted two weekends now of mine planning for this surgery due to YOUR lack of organization and now you deny me the service that was promised? How is a doctor too nervous from a patient asking questions? The lady who messed up the appointment also never notified me of the process not one email or call and then denied all of it to my face. The Hispanic lady that answers the phone is the worst and I'm Hispanic so nothing to do with that just super unprofessional. I was also already drugged up at this point and forced to leave in this state. Unacceptable I will never return to this place run by unprofessional staff. read more
