I called about Rembrandt teeth whitening, which was listed on the website. There is none anymore. I asked for my first appointment and got it. But when I didn't immediately confirm the appointment the day before by noon, the secretary texted me, that she canceled my appointment. Later she texted that I could go to the appointment. I didn't go, not sure, if I really had an appointment. It was too nuts. Still thinking the dentist office had Rembrandt, I tried to reschedule the appointment. I got an appointment in a month and a week. But if I canceled that appointment, the secretary said, I wasn't welcome to make another appointment. Dr. Ashy and the other hygienists are all amazing. They do a great job cleaning and are gentle on the teeth. They are super friendly and always professional. I went to my first visit and it was nice. I only wish they would schedule everything at once. The scheduling sucks You have to schedule an appointment for x-rays, another for the cleaning, another for whatever if you need any work done. It's like some people work and really don't have time. I've been going to Dr. Ashy for the last decade, but they severely misstreated my mother, who unfortunately I recommended go there. Her procedure was on January 11th, and on January 15th they decided to no longer honor Cigna retroactively to December 4th. They refused to install her permanent bridge unless she paid them a significant amount of money. She felt intimidated and helpless and paid them. They knew they were canceling the insurance with Cigna, but didn't inform her before the procedure. She's paid thousands of dollars for something that would be mostly covered by insurance. The office manager said Dr. Ashy personally agreed with their approach to this situation. I wouldn't recommend anyone go there. Ever. There are lots of ways to handle things, and they got them all wrong and doubled down on that after chatting with them. read more

This place is awesome.. every hygienist I have seen is great and the front office team is helpful and patient with my hectic scheduling and sometimes last minute cancellations. I just had my first crown with them. Previous dentist I saw I could feel the needle to numb me on every filling or crown.. lost temporary crown twice with two separate crowns they did while I took pain killers 5 times a day. Not here.. never felt how they actually numbed the area.. never saw a needle.. kept the numbing to just the affected area, equipment seemed modern and procedure was better and easier than ever. Great dentist. Dr. Chard does great work. He takes good care that you are comfortable and sufficiently numb when he does work. Very friendly. He also is very perceptive and isn't afraid to refer work out to an endodontist. I have had dentists in the past that try to do all the work themselves, only to botch it. He was out sick, but rescheduled me on a Saturday to make up for it, which was a great gesture. Hygienists are hit or miss with chairside manner, but maybe I caught one on a bad day. After distancing myself from dental visits the past few years due to extremely negligent work, I decided it was time to go. I had a personal recommendation to see Dr Ashy. They were able to squeeze me in due to a bit of an emergency and I can't say I'm disappointed. Setting up the appointment itself was easy. The ladies on the phone were very pleasant and helpful. Paperwork is emailed to you prior to your visit so you don't have to fill it out once you get there. Once at my appointment they came and got me ON TIME. I had a visual assessment and xray's completed by the dental assistant (who's name I cannot remember and feel bad because she was a sweetheart). Once that was complete, Dr Ashy came in and gave me another assessment. After a few minutes of going over the xray's he gave me a treatment plan and options. He took his time going over the process involved with each treatment (using an iPad to show how it's done) and answered all of my questions. Although I wasn't pleased with my own dental state, the treatment I received at the office was top class. It was the first time in YEARS I have been to a dentist and haven't left with pain, feeling ripped off, or lied to. Nobody hates going to the dentist more than me, but if I have to go, it's going to be the 50 minute drive to Elite Dentistry. read more

I had been going to Elite Dentistry for years and while I found their care to be acceptable, their billing practice was not. Although I have very good insurance I consistently received a follow up bill. Last July I broke a tooth when a filling that Dr. Ashy placed failed. Elite said it cracked because there was a cavity under the filling. So either the filling wasn't placed properly or Any cavity that was present before had not been completely removed. At that point they said I needed a crown which would be $650 my cost. Six weeks later when my crown arrived and an X-day was taken (at my request) I was told that I still had a cavity but this time it was below the gum line and I needed a crown lengthening procedure. I went to their referral and was then told I needed that PLUS a root canal to the tune of $4,000.00. Not for the last tooth in my mouth I won't. I decided to get a second opinion. Before I could get the second opinion I received a bill from Elite for another $150 plus $11 interest and a nasty-gram stating my account was overdue. This was the first bill I'd received and no one in my family had been to Dr. Ashy since before the July appointment. I was told it was for an extra amount the insurance wouldn't pay and the interest was charged from the date of service even though they never billed me. The second opinion told me the "cavity" Dr. Ashy saw was actually an air bubble. When I asked if it could've been mistaken for a cavity the new dentist explained why that would have been impossible. I did not need crown lengthening or a root canal. Dr. Ashy did refund my money but only after a very nasty confrontation. My new dentist is great and my tooth was repaired with only a crown......out of pocket cost 50% off Elites charges. With all this please keep in mind that up until I started going to Elite, I'd never had any dental issues at all. When I voiced this, Elite said that once you get a certain age you can just start having problems with teeth. While this may be true at some level I no longer believe Dr. Ashy or the staff at Elite Dentistry acted with my best interests in mind. I believe they were acting to line their pockets. read more

Spa meets Dentist? Oh you read my ever desire Elite! It's like a retreat for your teeth! I have been wanting to review Elite Dentistry for quite a bit now! I actually just recommended...neigh, demanded that my dear Kiely go here instead of the so-called dentist that almost damaged his poor teeth. Mocha leather seats, everything is bamboo-wood, pristine interior, open and mood enhancing with their oils and over-all attitude of 'you are in a zen like state and not about to be drilled into'...oh you seriously melt away. I was terrorized when I was younger by a failure in Sears back when they had their dentist practice...anyone remember this?...and I begged of my mother not to make me go...anyways Elite makes me actually lok forward to my experience in that I know it's going to be peaceful and utterly anxiety-reducing at all expense. Dr. Ashy and all of the assistants are just so wonderful too! And from what I remember, they take most insurances too. And he gets a super gold star from me because he had recommended and gave me a referral to an extraordinary mouth surgeon for getting my root canal...let's just say that it's textbook work and raved about by those who see my xrays. Kickers: Makes going to the dentist actually enjoyable, zen-like, super clean for us OCD freaks but not at the sake of clinical-sterile but like spring water clean-fresh, Dr. Ashy's young and funny and the assistants are so sweet! Oh and it's great for kids too!! Fails: It's in the back of Avalon Park...if you don't like Avalon, all you do is wish that while you're driving through it's endless roads and cookie-cutter housing that Elite was much better placed in a different party of the city, can be difficult to get an appointment. Diamondism: Even if it is in Avalon, you seriously should make this your dentist...it brings new meaning to the idea of dental care...it's teeth zen! read more

They do more unneeded than what is needed and silently slip a bill for you. My insurance was covering 100% of preventive medical procedures, even after that we kept getting a bill every month. Being busy I didnt pay attention and my wife kept paying those bills. When I finally realized, I called the office and asked. They told me they were doing deep cleaning all the way back from 2008 to 2013 on my wife. My wife doesnt even have any teeth issues and I can understand them doing deep cleaning maybe once a year or atleast back in 2008. after that I would have wanted to first tell me what extra procedure they are going to do other than regular cleaning. Their defnese was my wife signed a paper back in 2008 that she accepted deep cleaning and this is 2014. Was it not doctors responsibility to advice and tell patient if they are doing anything over and extra the regular cleaning. When I asked them to submit the work done, the office just said they wont service us anymore. So beware and make sure you understand what tratment is done at this office, Its a scam place !! read more

I just got a filling here a few hours ago. It was my first filling ever so I was a little nervous! The people at the front desk are very pleasant. The lady who took me back was very personable and we talked about our summer plans while she got everything set up. She gave me head phones to put on and listen to pandora while they were doing my filling. For children.. They have a tv above the comfy leather chairs where they will put on movies to distract your child during their dental work. The dentist numbed me up good... I didn't feel a thing the entire time. He was very quick... I was in and out within 35mins! I will certainly be coming back to Elite dentistry! read more

If you like different people working in your mouth every visit, this is the place for you.Even if you request a certain hygienist, they will not honor your request. They have "Guest hygienist" that may or may not be fully trained or experienced. If you write a bad review or complain about a substandard treatment, they will ask you not to return. read more

The staff is always friendly and will bend over backwards to get you the appt. time you need. Once you get in the chair its always very professional but they keep it light.
