Had an amazing experience with the WCEMT San Diego location (Aka get Spencer as the instructor). As…read morea newbie into healthcare/emergency services etc and without any previous knowledge like anatomy classes etc, I had so much to learn, just listen in lectures and you'll pass and do great. I did the accelerated course for 5 weeks Mon-Thu 8am-5pm. Tips: 1. whether you have general knowledge of the topics covered in an EMT course or not, acknowledge that you are gonna be digesting a lottttt of new information. Get good sleep, take your notes, apply yourself don't just show up to class and expect to pass 2. Create a good set up. I did my sign/symptoms homework over the weekend in addition to the online JBL quizzes. (both graded). This way during the week all I had to worry about was learning new information, being ahead, and studying for the in person quiz and exam. 3. Ask questions, the instructor is a tool that you can use. They are always there to help you and want you to succeed. Super knowledgeable and helpful, just have the courage to ask questions, especially when it's needed. 4. Sign up for your 2 required EMS rides early, if you do them in the second or third week it's better. A lot of the students including myself put dates for the last 2 weeks of the course, however EMS services can only have so many ride alongs.Hence, I just finished the course and am taking my 2nd ride along the week after because it was backed up. Do it early. 5. Make friends in the class and help each other out. We were all able to bond over the topics that were harder to learn etc, it ended up helping a lot. Everyone the first week is obviously nervous but everyone is super nice just put yourself out there. 6. When your class is studying together for the quiz or exam and Spencer is talking, listen CAREFULLY to what he says, if he repeats something or says it slowly, it's for a reason, study it for the quiz/exam. You will be doing yourself the biggest disadvantage if you don't listen to the instructor in class. 7. The skills assessments. You get out what you put in. Skills instructors are there to help teach you and correct you in practice, but be able to make mistakes and learn before skills testing day. 8. Manage your time effectively. Some students understood the information better than others and were able to enjoy themselves more outside of class time, for students like myself, the information was hard to grasp and the extra time outside of class is needed to study more. Expect to be done with class, go home and study what you learned. 9. Quizlet helps a lot, however cross check the information on there with your notes. (the book wasn't really much of help). But Spencer goes over all of the important topics in detail. Quizlet is good for practice but know your definitions and how things work. 10. Not everyone in the class but most were taken as a prerequisite for Fire Service. Super nice to network with everyone on this journey and get more information about the different routes people are on. I believe we started with 60 individuals and ended with 40 passing or so. Overall, the class was not that difficult if you followed these. At a bare minimum, turn everything in on time, keep up in the class or get ahead, LISTEN to the instructor. Great experience. Also the Cargo Cafe coffee shop there is phenomenal. Very convenient. About to take NREMT, super confident and studying pocket prep after the class. Goodluck y'all.

Out of a starting class of 50 only 12 of us finished. THIS IS NOT AN EASY PROGRAM! If one wants to do well he or she better dedicate a lot of their time studying for this course. Gracefully my teacher Ellen made me feel so much at ease with her techniques of teaching, which, is the right formula that works for me. I recently completed my 3 month courses. She's an amazing lady and an awesome teacher. Coming in early for my classes gave me time to communicate and get to know Ellen so much more. She gave me so much advice, and encouragement to continue on as a future Realtor. To "never stop growing and learning" and more, these words are just a small fraction of my appreciation to her. I'm looking forward to spending more time with her in the near future and sharing our clients' adventurous stories. Thank you Ellen.

Prior to attending the class I went to get my passport 2 x 2 color passport picture (Postal Annex) and Live Scan Fingerprinting (UPS Store) completed as these services aren't provided with the class. I saved some money ($22) doing so on my own compared to the going rate on the National Notary ($110). I just took my Combo Mobile Notary & Marketing Class this past Saturday. Richard was engaging, friendly, informative and preps you well for the exam (which follows immediately after the 6 hour course). On the day of the class, you're provided with a Notarial Journal, Notarial Thumb Print Stamp,Disc with the required state Notarial forms, and 20% off discount coupon for your stamp and Notary supplies. I got a little anxious and nervous prior to the exam and he helped me overcome this by ensuring me that I'm doing fine, to just relax and take my time reading the questions vs rushing through everything. After reviewing all the materials taught in class and the encouragement from Richard...I felt confident taking my 30 question Notary exam. Now I just gotta wait a little over 2 weeks for my grades. Following the 6 hour notary course I stayed another 3 hours to take the Mobile class. I was given insight on very helpful information in loan signing and mobile notary service. I can't thank Richard enough for sharing his knowledge and the wealth of information obtained from both classes. I highly recommend CA Notary School for those who are interested in becoming a Notary or wish to renew their commission.

She adores her teachers and feels so proud of her artwork, which we display on our dining room wall and love showing to our guests. We were thrilled to see our daughter's artwork displayed at the SD County Fair through Drawn2Art. Thank you, Jaci and team, for helping her build confidence and express herself through art!

Art is beyond creativity. Drawn2Art offers more complex services than drawing on paper or painting…read moreon a canvas. Ask them about the array of services. Sometimes art is about cultivating the virtuoso-ist within. Parents woo at the abstract art from their little ones with a sparkle in their eye. Educators strive to balance right brain and left brain. Even aficionados need to fine-tune their artistic skills. Wherever you define the art continuum, Drawn2Art can meet your needs. My 60+ mother took the weekly class for a month when she visited out of state and she's naturally talented. My 10 yr old has been in weekly classes for 1.5 years and her skills and knowledge improve every week. The benefits of a structured art business, is... It's structured. Every student takes an art assessment for each level. Maybe the student is a beginner, maybe not. Students start their learning at their skill range. Drawn2Art capitalizes on each students strength. Students learn the basic fundamentals of colors, blends, acrylics, shading, pencil, portrait and more. The best value for you money is the 1.5 hour class and pay the monthly fee which is basically $40 bucks or less a class for art skillful training. Every week the student progresses, when the picture is done, the picture comes home. Precision, accuracy and knowledge are the take-aways. Not just ohhs and aaahs. No matter the age, a student is a student. A talented student is welcomed. An exploring talent is welcomed. It's like art therapy without talking. The goal is up to the student with teacher guidance in a structured environment at the student's pace. What's cool is that is you only compete against yourself and you leave encouraged after each class. The only drawback is more often than not, class ends almost 10 minutes prior to the actual end time. On the other, hand camps and holiday classes are ALWAYS offered for focused specialty areas (anime, clay, 3D etc). The owner is professional, uses various effective modes of communication, and works hard to accommodate the consumer. If art is a "maybe" in your consideration then Drawn2Art is a "yes."

They really care about their students, music, culture, and overall community. SOR Scripps Ranch provides a safe, welcoming, caring environment for all their students. The opportunities available to the students over the years we have been there have been amazing. They have even performed at such iconic places as the Whiskey a Go-Go in LA, House of Blues in Anaheim, and the Hard Rock Café on the strip in Las Vegas to name a few. Steve and the staff have had a huge part in preparing our son for his college auditions and interviews. Programs such as House Band really helps prepare these young musicians for their future. The show groups are great as well, there is a real sense of teamwork between the instructors and students. It can be nerve racking for most to get up in front of a group of people (large or small) and not only perform but to answer questions being thrown your way. So thankful for everyone at School of Rock Scripps Ranch and proud to be part of the SOR family.
