I have hosted two parties here for my kids. Both times it was so stressful free. The staff helps with everything. They have a cart that you use to load up all your stuff and they put up your decorations, arrange your food. They have a cooler with ice ready for you. They clean up everything after the party is over. They even have a Pinata stick and rope. Parties are 3 hour long, which is perfect because a lot of other playgrounds only do 2 hour parties. Magical Playground is an awesome kids play area for parties. Parking here is terrible. You can have 50 people but they have like 4 small tight spots in the back. Street parking in this area is terrible. Entrance is through the back parking lot. The Colorado door is locked so random people cannot enter. Shoes off, no food in the play area. They have 2 large play areas and a bunch of small sections. Ton of cars and activities for kids to play with. Kiddos had a blast playing here. You can bring your own food. No alcohol, but there is a bar next door! Staff were really nice and helpful. Great place to host a birthday party for your little ones. read more

The owner has been very nice and friendly, especially to kids. I went there several times. Last time I went there with my friend's daughter, and she made a mistake. I was in panic, and the owner gave her pretty socks and skirt which she said those were her favorite among what she had. It could be an embarrassing moment without the owner's help. I have no doubt kids were super excited, and I was fully satisfied every visiting. Koreans and Japanese are quite sensitive with service quality. In that sense, I am sure those Koreans and Japanese visitors would be absolutely happy with their service. read more

I visit my grandchildren in the Pasadena area about once a month and have just returned to the Magical Playground for the second time. The kids just love it, particularly the indoor bounce house and jungle gym! There are toys for all ages! We have not encountered big crowds, which is nice for us, but maybe not for them! This Playground is truly Magical l. I take my granddaughter to play and she loves it. I like the fact it is very much like A preschool as well. So much to see so much to do and I can honestly say it's only when it's time to leave that my grandbaby Cry's. This place is located on Colorado Ave and is very easy to find. We found parking easily in the back because we came on a Tuesday afternoon. I met Marcela, the owner, when we first walked in and she was super nice, friendly, and extremely welcoming. We signed a waiver because it's our first time there and I paid $15 for my first kid and $12 for my second. Ages 2+ is $15 and any additional kid is $13. $27 for 4 hours of fun is totally worth it! The restroom was decorated very cutely and clean. In fact, the entire facility, its toys and equipment were well cleaned and sanitized. The place is also well-lit and bright. There's many benches to sit on if parents decide they want to bring their laptop or something to work while older kids play. There are snacks available to purchase but outside food was welcome as well. There was a large jungle gym, a big bounce house with a slide, and a small rock climbing wall. There were so many various toys ranging from big dollhouses to a princess castle to a big race car table to play on. My kids were thoroughly entertained. In the play area, there are lots of sitting areas for parents to lounge and relax on while the kids play. This place is made for little babies ranging to young children age Needless to say, I will most definitely be coming back! :) read more

Hands down, our favorite indoor playground! There are soo many toys for the kids to choose from and in my opinion, it is especially great for boys with all the cars and trucks they could hope for. Marcela, the owner, is so sweet, she always makes our experience there easy and enjoyable. We've even had a birthday party there and it took away the stress of having to plan one myself. This place is really decent. There is an open floor play area and it's really interactive and gets all the children involved very quickly. This place has a jumper and an indoor slide with obstacles courses. There are plenty of places to sit if your a parent and need to breast feed or take a breathe. The restrooms are convenient clean. Cute toddlers indoor play area. We came here to celebrate a one year old girl's birthday. The entrance is not facing the street, but in the back, which was a bit confusing. The staff were friendly. We were greeted kindly as we entered. The host had brought in their own food and there were tables where we could sit and eat. That eating area was a bit tight. That would be the only thing I would change. It was hard to get in and out, especially when we have kids that we might need to get to. Even though my kids were 6, they seemed to have had a great time. The play area, you can only go in with socks, had a bounce house with slide, a jungle gym, a make believe house for kids to play in, and more. Enough to keep the kids entertained. If you are thinking of hosting a small toddler birthday, I would recommend this place. So cute! :) read more

My entire family came here for a private birthday party. I enjoyed it, and have never participated at this location during ''free play'' or whatever. The kids liked jumping and climbing what I call, ''the hamster tunnels.'' The inside of those tunnels are well padded, and I didn't notice any gaping holes for kids to get stuck in. It was clean and well organized when we came here. The staff was nice, and we didn't encounter any issues. We were attendees of the party, not the hosts. So, easy work! Just show up, play, and eat! We celebrated my daughters birthday here and it was awesome! Everyone kept giving us complements of how much they liked the place! The restroom was very clean and accommodating to all kids they even have a changing table, love that! Love this place! We go weekly. Great for everyday, but also a god send when it's raining or too hot to play outside. Marcela is super great and it feels like home when I come in since they always greet me and my daughter by name. We had my daughters 6th birthday party there recently and it was a great experience. Not only was Marcela there to help, but she had 2 assistants that help load in, set-up, cleaned up and help load the cars after. Has an area for all kid ages (even babies) and the toys are disinfected every night. Great for a working mom! Bring your own food, computer (free wifi) and drinks (they also have drinks and snacks for sale). Safe place for the kids to play while you work on your computer. read more

Was invited for a friends babys 1st bday. Party was from 1-4pm. Arrived and there was a really small parking lot in the back. Fits about 8 cars in really small spots. Only one entrance and that is through the back. They lock the front door for safety purposes. I've been to the other magical playground location and my kids and I loved it. Walked in and the seating area was really tight. Had to walk sideways to get through to the playground area. There are no private party rooms available. They had a jumper, small rock climbing, big course with 2 slides, an airplane sea saw, a castle house, a small little rollercoaster, and random toys located in different spots of the room. If it were up to me, I wouldn't return because parking is inconvenient, party seating was cramped, and the toys were not as great as the west covina location. read more

Magical Playground is now our go-to place to play when it's either rainy or too hot. We started off coming when they offered a $30 monthly pass, but they have since raised it to $40, which borders on being a bit too expensive unless you come weekly. We like, the big bounce house with a slide, the giant climbing structure with more slides, and the general cleaniness of the toys. Overall, I find the place a lil dingy and grungy and ark but it's a kids play area. I don't particularly like the location. It's on a stretch of Colorado Blvd. that is really busy and a lil grungy. They do lock the door facing Colorado so you can only buzz in/out, which adds a nice element of security. The parking the back is EXTREMELY tight and small but there seems to be an ample amount of street parking. There's a pizza place 2-3 store fronts down so a lot of parents end up grabbing food from there. As for amenities, there's a microwave, lots of tables for eating and seating, and free wifi so it totally gets the job done. read more

We visited this place for the first time last week and after reading a few reviews it took me years to visit this place, here we go: the front lady (maybe the owner) is very nice. The actual playground, is very unorganized, the actual place wasn't that dirty but the toys were, there's TONS of stuffed animals all over the place. There's also like 30 ridding little cars for the kiddos to ride BUT not actual space to do it. Everywhere is really crowded. I didn't really noticed any sensory toys either. There's a small area for babies but non of the toys work. And yes it's very hot inside. It's looks more like a consignment store than a playground. I was so excited to try this place since it's so close to home but I prob won't come back again :( read more

We just found this place and it's been a godsend. The owner, Marcela, is so friendly and helpful; it's a delight to walk in the door and be greeted by her sunny demeanor. Our 2-year old son adores this place; it has a huge diversity of toys for his age and older, including tons of toy cars, table top games, a walk-in castle, train sets, a small stage to play pretend, and of course the soft play side with bounce house and slides. There are even toys in the lobby so your little ones can get busy awhile you're checking in. I love the complimentary coffee (keurig) and there are plenty of picnic tables where you can post up to do work or have a snack. Edit in response to owners response: The negative review isn't about me not being allowed to step in the play area without socks. That's beyond the point of my review. It's about the rude customer service I received and the messy and unsafe play area. It's funny how I see 4 of the staff members suddenly clean after my review was posted and I get a yelp response from the owner. --------------- Original review: This place is a junkyard. It's so messy and there's no organization with the toys as well as the staff. I called ahead of time to ask for the price for the kids as well as adults, and if kids need socks. I asked specifically if adults needed socks (because I wasn't wearing any and was wearing sandals) and the man over the phone said the adults are fine. It could all be a misunderstanding because he could have meant "adults are fine" in regards to pricing. However when I brought the kids in and went barefoot into the play area, I was approached abruptly by what seemed like the owner saying I needed socks. That's fine, except when I kept trying to explain that I spoke to someone over the phone, the owner kept interrupting me saying "NO, NO, everyone needs socks. That's the rules." (Thanks by the way for not reinforcing any of the rules upon entrance like other professional indoor playground business.) She asked who I talked to and I said a man, and she pointed to the only younger man there who was defensive and had a negative demeanor, and said "I SPOKE TO YOU ON THE PHONE. I SAID YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY." Needless to say, I'm only here so that my kids can enjoy some play time and to get my money's worth, but I'm put off by this place and the staff, and will never be back again. The only reason I would give it a star is because I coincidentally came on their 2 year anniversary and the kids were half price (I paid $6 for each kid). The regular price is expensive for what this place is worth ($12 over age 2 and $10 under age 2). There are much better indoor playgrounds in this area that are priced the same or less. Also, because the owner could sense I was irritated, she let me borrow socks. I'm all about supporting small businesses, but this place needs some organization, direction, and improvement in their customer service and cleanliness. Just a note: it would be nice to see a staff member walking around to organize the toys throughout the day. I agree with the other reviews that it looks like this establishment just bought a ton of second hand dirty and broken toys and threw it in the play area. Also, there is no gate between the play area and the common area where the exit is, and ALL playgrounds I've been to aside from this one has a gate for safety reasons. I brought my daughter who is 18 months on a random Tuesday afternoon. My first impression was the front desk was not rude but not welcoming either, but they didn't go over rules or policies (such as socks only and watch your kids). The place was very cluttered and felt dirty. It felt like someone bought a bunch of second hand toys over the years and put them in a room and threw some carpet on the floor. Some toys were patched up, missing elements, no batteries. But the worse for me was the electric sockets uncovered which is totally unsafe. There was also lack of air circulation and no ac on that day. On top of that parents pay no attention to their kids. What do you do when your kid get push around by older kids and the parents have headphones on and look at their phone! It really felt that safety took a back seat at this establishment. I have an 18 month old nephew so when I came accross a $4 Groupon for here I thought I'd give it a try. He had a BLAST! I read some reviews ahead of time so I came somewhat prepared. Found parking on the street right in front of the location, free for an hour. I figured it was enough to try it out and I could move the car later if needed. One hour seemed to be perfect for my nephew atleast. Make sure to bring socks with you as they must be worn inside. There are cubbies to leave your shoes. His expression was priceless when we walked in. There are so many toys for all ages (balls, cars, play kitchen, slides, a bouncy castle with a huge slide, blocks, guitars, pianos, and the jungle area for the bigger kids like the ones at McDonald's and fast food places. There many places for parents and caregivers to sit, including sofas and tables with chairs. They even have a photo machine where you can take free pictures and get them online. The only thing I was a tiny bit disapointed with was the size of the place. Judging from photos I was under the impression it was bigger, but there's still plenty of space and things to do. It was really a good time. I was reading their brochure for private parties and for 2 hours and 15 children plus accompanying adults the prices are reasonable. They offer face painting and favorite characters to come in like hello kitty or barney. Will definitely be back! read more

I went here for my nephew's birthday. It was closed off to the public and it was a private party for two hours. No socks inside! it's a kids space with a miniature Chuck E. Cheese's inside! So, being the germaphobe that I am (a label I wore proudly long before getting the mom label), one of the first things I noted during my first visit here was a couple of other kids hacking. Now, I realize this must put establishments like these in an awkward position so I am not faulting them (ie: taking stars away) for that. But EWWW. Aside from that, here's the real low down: Friendly staff. Proximity to my casa couldn't be better, decent size for my pint sized toddler, comparable rates (usually has some kind of Yelp or Living Social deal to boot, great alternative to outdoor parks whilst we go into hibernation July-August! On the flip side, I have two major issues: They could use a refresher of some toys (at least every 6 months?) like others have mentioned & their flat out/admitted inability to assist you if you misplace your card (for package deals) is oddly annoying (system could be updated along with their toys??). Though, truth be told, the other indoor playground we frequent is just as behind the times when it comes to using any sort of technology for their check-in process and account maintenance. I also held my daughter's third bday party here. Again, super convenient and very helpful staff (you get two assistants with the base level package). I wanted to be able to get there earlier to set up but they had inflexible rules about timing--so we had a whole 15-20 minutes to get everything carted in. Granted, and again, they have two staffers helping you do that. Overall, the 3-star, Yelp-granted label of "A-OK" fits this indoor playground perfectly. It's a wash... Which is something everyone should do when you get home. Wash that is; thy hands-- if you've been hanging out in any sort of playground. read more

This is our first time here and my little one is loving it!!!!! He's so entertained with all the toy trucks selection! They have all his favorites. I'm digging all the Disney tunes playing, so nostalgic and giving me all sorts of childish feels! It's been years (!!) since I've been here and to be very honest I'm a little letdown. This place wasn't glamorous to begin with but it's gotten worse. Last time I was here was 4 years ago and it looks like the same big items are here but not taken care of. Particularly the structure. If you look around you'll notice LOTS of zip-ties connecting old, loose, worn-out side netting used in the structure. That did not make me feel safe sending my child in there. Another pet-peeve of mine was the small item toys. There's a kitchen but no pans, dishes or cups in the same area it's in another part of the playground (opposite side of the playground). Lots of toys weren't working. Also cars (like Little Tikes cozy coupes) were everywhere, no designated "parking" area. This playground is unorganized. I get it-kids use this space it's gonna get messy BUT there really should be an extra staff to clean the playground, put cars in safer area, organize the toys better. Let's be honest parents are not really watching there children. They let the kids run while they (parents) sit and look at their phones. It was me and one other grandparent actually with our children. All the other kids were running wild. This isn't the playgrounds fault but it does make things more dangerous on the playground. I would like staff to be on the playground to organize the toys better, maybe even wipe down the material, make sure kids are being safe. It would be good for the cashier to explain policies/rules when people pay-like "watch your children at all times, take shoes off outside the playground by the tables, share toys" this is no brained stuff but lots of parents don't do it. I only bring this up because OTHER indoor playgrounds go thru policies when you enter, this place shouldn't be any different. Because of that I see parents being careless and that really bothers me because the kids are reckless and careless. HOWEVER, this is one of the cheaper indoor playground. You get what you pay for. Last thing, lots of toys/activities need to be replaced or new batteries. Like the baby musical toys & toddler push cars were either very low on volume or sounded funny. read more

The place smells like mold and kids of all ages running unsupervised while parents/nanny's sit around to chat , sleep or on their phone. The customs for kids are dirty and all over the ground.
