This is going to be long, but if you're considering taking your vehicle here, you should read it. I'm being detailed because I genuinely hope it prevents someone else from going through what I did. Thankfully, I also work for many law firms that deal with car wrecks so they know where NOT to send their clients. I've taken my car to this shop for three separate accidents over the years. The first two were mostly body damage repairs and I had no major issues. The third accident, a front-end collision in September 2025, turned into an absolute nightmare. Between September 2025 and May 2026, I had to bring my car back FIVE separate times for the exact same unresolved issues. Eventually, I gave up and took my car elsewhere because Magic Touch still had not properly repaired it and almost caused my insurance company to total the vehicle until I canceled the claim to avoid that. The biggest issue involved my AC system. I repeatedly told them something was still wrong, but instead of actually finding the leak, they kept refilling the refrigerant and sending me on my way. Because of that negligence, my compressor eventually failed and the casing cracked -- despite the compressor only being a little over a year old. Out of those five return visits, they reimbursed my rental car twice after I complained about continuously paying out of pocket because I don't have another vehicle. One visit, they even handed me Visa gift cards after again failing to fix the issue. It honestly felt less like customer service and more like, "We're tired of dealing with you." I also have recordings from my last drop-off. In one, the owner, Brody, points at my car and asks, "What's up with that?" When another employee says, "The AC is having problems again," Brody responds, "Nah, f**k that," while complaining about my car being back again. Maybe if the issue had been fixed the first time, it wouldn't have kept coming back. Every time I returned, I was treated more like an inconvenience than a customer simply asking them to fix the same unresolved problem. Eventually, they had to involve the shop across the street because they couldn't figure it out themselves. One employee texted me the quote from that shop, then later sent me (after I asked the next day) another estimate that was literally DOUBLE what they had originally been told, because "if they denied it then they still had room to cover repairs" is what the text message from the shop said -- and that inflated estimate had already been sent to the insurance company. When the insurance company later contacted me to say they were considering totaling my car, I sent them all the text messages, recordings, and estimates I had received. The adjuster literally told me they were confused because insurance had ended up covering damage that the shop itself may have contributed to through negligence by failing to locate the leak when I originally reported it. The adjuster even used the words "insurance fraud" -- not me. At that point, I took my car elsewhere to a shop that has done major repairs for me before. I'm now paying around $3,400 out of pocket just to finally have my vehicle repaired correctly. To make things even worse, the new shop discovered that Magic Touch had replaced my radiator after the wreck and apparently NEVER added coolant. I brought my car there six total times, including immediately after the accident, and somehow nobody noticed the coolant reservoir was empty? That repair is now being added to my bill along with an expansion valve replacement. You can call me a liar if you want, but I have endless text messages, recordings, invoices, and documentation to back up every single thing I'm saying. The unfortunate reality is that they seem friendly until they no longer want to deal with your vehicle. Once that happens, you absolutely feel it. I've been told that they will fix anything to make me happy, but it's a waste of time and energy since my car was there for over 6 weeks! I am very unhappy for such a poor result even if they fix them that shows poor quality control and unprofessional staff to make such big mistakes and damage on parts before they deliver it to customer. We had gotten a few quotes from body shops in the flower mound and Lewisville areas, Magic Touch had the best price! They truly went the extra mile and even fixed a small crack we had in the plastic on the edge of the trunk of our car that was not part of the damage they were repairing! We had damage to the roof and Aetna. Contacted these guys on a Friday afternoon for a scratch repair quote via Yelp. They responded quickly and scheduled my car in on Monday morning. The details. Car - Entire back end of my car was scratched up from a large dog trying to get his toy off my trunk hood. Most of the scratches were minor (you could run your nail over them and not get your nail stuck), but they were in masses. Too much work to try and manage myself and I didn't want to spend a fortune to have it all repainted. Repair - These guys specialize in something called Sprayless Scratch Repair (Google it). Took my car in at 9AM and they had it done by about 10:30AM. All the scratches were gone and my car was as good as new. They even took the time to fill in other holes around my car where rocks had chipped away the body. Customer Service - Super friendly family owned business. Strolled in with a backpack in tow with my work laptop with plans to Uber to a bookstore/coffee shop and work while my car was getting worked on. The gentleman that helped me told me he'd be glad to give me a ride, but informed me that the repairs wouldn't take long and that I was welcome to use their WiFi and hang out in their waiting area (small, but cozy enough with a bunch of chairs, tv, coffee maker). He even went beyond that and offered me an empty desk to utilize! I accepted and happily plopped myself into the desk to work while my car was being repaired. When I brought my car to Magic Touch I had pretty low expectations. Someone had vandalized the car with scratches on nearly every body panel, and someone else had tried to buff out the scratches. Neither person named somebody was me in this scenario - I was just the angry owner who looked at his Challenger with sadness every time he saw the scratches. Upon recommendation from a good friend, I came out to Lewisville to visit Alex and the crew at Magic Touch. I had been told they were miracle workers, and I think in my case I definitely needed a miracle. For the first time, I went to a body shop and I felt like I was not wasting their time.
