I've been going to Jenny since 2024, but unfortunately my experiences haven't been consistent. My first major issue happened in June 2025. I had a 10:00 AM appointment and, as usual, waited in my car until the salon opened. When Jenny arrived, another client called out to her and she let that person in first. When I walked in, that client was already seated. Jenny then asked how she could help me (even though I'd been her client for over a year). She had double booked herself not expecting both clients to show up at the same time. After she asked me how she could help me I told her I had a 10:00 AM appointment, and she asked me to wait 15-20 minutes because someone else would be coming. I explained I couldn't wait since I had to travel to Los Angeles that same day and had specifically booked that time. I ended up leaving. She later texted an apology and offered a $50 discount, so I decided to give her another chance and returned a few more times. Fast forward to today (04/11/2026), and I had another disappointing experience. I live in Tracy and woke up very early to make it to my 8:00 AM appointment on time. I respect people's time, and I expect the same in return. I even texted her at 6:58 AM to let her know I was on my way. Right at 8:00 AM, she called to tell me she wouldn't arrive until 8:45 AM. I was honestly in disbelief. I had driven all the way from Tracy, used my gas, and made the effort to be on time only for my time to be wasted. She offered a 10% discount, which didn't make up for the inconvenience. She also suggested she could call someone else to do my hair, but I would have to wait. I had booked specifically with her at 8:00 AM. If 8:45 AM was the real availability, that's what should have been offered. As a business owner, respecting clients' time is essential, and that hasn't been my experience here. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt after the first incident, but this confirmed the pattern. I regret not stopping after the first situation. I'm sharing this for anyone considering booking here be cautious. It may save you time, money, and frustration. I also forgot to mention that she will try to change her prices. It's located in Westlake Shopping Center in Daly City with plenty of parking. Being a hairstylist myself, I can be very picky and demanding,I know what I want, and that can be tough for another stylist at times. Haha I get we are sometimes the most challenging clients. After looking at different types of hair that she had. (and she had a big selection of straight wavy and curly hair.) she let me pick the kind that I wanted. I picked three different shades of brown that were wavy, and although she was pushing for the curlier, she let me have the wavier which turned out to be the right texture for my hair. The most natural looking to blend. She's very fast and accurate, patient and kind. Her prices are very reasonable compared to a lot of other salons. Don't expect all the bells and whistles of an updated salon, but for the quality of hair and skills that she has - it doesn't have to be super chic considering how happy I am with my hair. I had a very pale pink color previously and I wanted a more natural, calm color that was still light. I've been experimenting with different colors and this times I wanted something new but not too crazy. This time, I went with the color that Jenny recommended. I had my extensions installed a week ago at magic touch, and the stylist was very knowledgeable about all things hair related. She has been doing extensions for 20+ years, and her price is very reasonable and good compared to the other salons I have called. I will keep coming back to her to do my extensions as she is very talented and can do different types of extensions. She installed my micro link extensions for me, I had a hard time finding people in my area who do micro link, and if they did, the price was insane. Prices are fair and quality of the hair is actually pretty good. They usually last about 3x reuses-- 1x every 5-6 weeks. Jenny is good at what she does and will recommend the length + color that will match your natural hair. I personally don't need too many bundles since I only want extensions for length. The only complaints I have are 1) She will sometimes assign one of her sisters to do my hair although I requested her. In all honesty, their work and skills are just not the same-- I love Jenny and only want her to touch my hair so I'd sometimes have to remind her before the appointment I made an appt with her, and not anyone else. 2) She's usually late with or without an appointment at any time. Come at opening time... she'd be late 15-20 mins. Make an appt with her at 3p... she won't start with you until 20-30+mins later. I get that she's busy but being on time is so crucial especially if you're in a time crunch. read more

I need to come back here as the owner was not only extremely sweet but was empathetic to what happened to me as someone did install my extensions wrong and charged a lot of money for them. I feel bad for not writing this review sooner as this business absolutely deserves 5 stars. She not only changed my hair color to this beautiful caramel brown but also gave me a brand new set of extensions that were actually blended and looked like my real hair! On top of that I'd say her price was way more than fair considering the other place charged way more and it only looked good for about a week. I had them in for the recommended 3-4 months January to April and looked absolutely beautiful the entire time. When it was time to take them off I had no hair loss. I have not had extensions since then as I've been extremely busy but I am planning on taking a trip to the Bay Area just to schedule an appointment to get another set. What makes me upset is the review that doesn't even explain how the hair extensions made her lose hair. She just states "the hair extensions made me lose hair" doesn't explain how or why the extensions did that. Seems like misplaced blame and no accountability. On top of the fact I cannot even tell she lost any hair between the two pictures nor posted a picture of extensions. That review is bogus imo no explanation no proof. I'm heated because I know this owner takes pride in her work and this person went out of their way to write an incoherent review that doesn't make sense... only way it makes sense is she didn't take care of them and didn't get them taken out properly. DON'T GO HERE!!! I got 18 inch extensions from here and only had them in for a month before taking them out and when I got them removed more than half of my hair was gone!!! It's been 4 weeks since I got them removed and I'm still devastated at how much hair loss was caused by these extensions. They are not good quality ones and tug on your hair tremendously... I would do anything to go back in time and not get these extensions put in. Now I have to wait for my hair to regrow and spend lots of $$$ getting hair oils and hair growth shampoos and products. If you want hair extensions go to a place that uses common types of extensions. I have never heard of these beaded ones or seen anyone else use them... Such a scam, that's why it's half the price of other places. I've gotten extensions here many times but will not go back after the owner stood me up and had me drive an hour to go to a empty salon. She said come on Monday to have my extensions removed and when I was on the way I called her just to make sure it was still a good time. No answer but a few minutes later she was calling but hung up after first ring. So I called back and asked if it's still good to come and she said I'll call you back later. So I just figured she was busy and was already on my way. I drive from Vacaville and see no one is there. I ended up going to the salon next door and asked if they remove extensions and they did. As he was taken then out a lot of my real hair came out because of the glue on the tip of the extensions was in my hair. It left so much glue residue in my hair it was terrible. My hair feels so much thinner now so they're definitely damaging to hair, I would not recommend! Better off doing clip in extensions and saving your hair! read more

Made an appointment for an i-tip move up last week over the phone for earlier today at 10am. Got there at 9:50am and no one was in the salon. Called her at 10am, and she seemed confused and asked what I needed. I told her I had an appointment at 10am and that I'm here. She startled saying she had an emergency. Then she said her friends at the hospital. Then she said she's at the hospital. I'm not sure if she was lying or telling the truth, but either way, I understand emergencies happen, however I wish she had let me known before, that she wasn't going to be able to make it. I work as well and have a kid, and blocked this time off to go there. I also texted her this, and got no response. My friend, who actually recommended me to her, also told me an incident like this happened to her as well. Oh btw, for those who know about hair extensions, you have to get a move up within 6 weeks, after 6 weeks, it is considered a new install, which cost more. I will now be passed my 6 week mark, and have to wait a couple more weeks somewhere else with a reliable hairstylist I found, and pay for a new install. Please be considerate of other people's time. Jenny was the absolute BEST. I was referred to her by my coworker and I did not expect her customer service to be so nice. I've been to salons and usually they wouldn't talk at all to make me comfortable so when she did that she made me feel so relaxed and at ease (considering I have extreme anxiety.) Next, her hands are so gentle lol! After an hour into my application, I started falling asleep. My hair was extremely short and I have an asymmetrical haircut which made me have to use lots of bundles but I swear she did magic!! SERIOUSLY. I should have really listened to the one star reviews. Luckily, I did not have to feel the wrath. The boyfrann did, SUCKAAAA. The bruhs, the bf, and I walked into this salon at about 7:20. We clearly interrupted the stylists' tv time. Sorry.. We were 'warmly' greeted by the man and the woman. I said a guys haircut and pointed to my boyfriend. She pointed to the other guy, telling us that hes going to do all of the cutting. My bro had to use the restroom, and I told him to ask the lady, since she wasn't doing much. She looked kind of irritated, I guess because we were only getting one hair cut? So what if we had three people waiting inside, there was no one there.. Anyways, the guy proceeds to ask my boyfriend how he wants his hair. He told him to just trim the top, well trim A LOT of it and to fade the sides to a 3? Whatever, guy talk. So far so good, he faded the sides a teeny bit and continued trimming. About 10 mins later, another guy walks in and seats himself(rudely), but I knew that was immediately a bad sign. The person cutting the hair was going to rush because he obviously wanted to close by 8. Another 10 minutes goes by and my boyfriend is finished. I looked at his hair and I could not tell that it was touched. In fact, there was barely any hair on the floor. My boyfriend has hair as thick as a gorillas pitz!!! There was a few strands on the floor. He also rounded out the front of my boyfriends hair.. It looks like a combover got attacked by a bowl. I hope you guys get the imagery I am trying to insert in your minds. I mean I usually give some slack to people who cut a girls hair because girls are really picky and theres so many ways someone can mess up on a lady's hair. But if you can't even give a guys haircut, then you really REALLY can't give hair cuts. I mean.. it was friggin 15 dollars too. We've been all over sunset and San Mateo and has never experienced an ugly 15 dollar hair cut. So pissed. My boyfriend who is usually very calm was sweating cause he was so heated. The boyfriend demanded that more hair has to be cut from the sides, he snipped a few more strands off. No difference at all. MY FINGERS ARE HURTING BECAUSE I AM PISSED. His money is my moneyand my money is his money so I have the right to be upset. In fact, my fingers are hurting from typing this review so ferociously. My boyfriend even paused his 2k11 game(THAT GAME IS SACRED, PAUSING IS ONE HECK OF A DEAL) and said these exact words: "sounds like a horse stampeding! Why you typing so loud and fast? Terrible experience here. Made an appointment for hair color and possibly hair extensions. When I git there she was late, which I didn't really mind nor complain about. I asked hiw much to color my hair she said 300.00, then I asked hiw much to highlight just the top she said 250? Which I didn't understand how it could be just 50 dollars less. So I put my hair down she acted like she was disgusted by my hair and said it was too dry for ger to do and that she didn't do color/ hairlight when she confirmed she could do when I spoke to her over the phone and she confirmed I spoke with her as well. Then she tells me to go next door instead. Waste of time. She wanted me to have extensions done with my roots clearly grown out. Then she claimed to needed to see my hair first before she could color it, which in my experience is called a CONSULTATION.
