I came here on a whim in desperate need of help for my bridesmaid dress! I had visited multiple tailors and no one was able to help me or their suggestions did not make much sense to me. In any event, I came here and will definitely return if ever need anything else fixed. Price was reasonable, work was amazing, timing was impeccable. My longtime Lynbrook tailor closed, so I am now trying to find a new one. I walked in today and asked the woman there if they could replace the zipper mechanism on a new jacket so it sits and slides up the other side. She was so condescending, so rude. She starts shaking her head and explains to me that the zipper works. She proceeds to show me it works. I told her I know it works, I just want it on the other side and would like to buy a new zipperhead. She said we'd have to replace the entire zipper and the teeth on the jacket as well. I asked, can I buy the new zipper but just replace the zipper mechanism? She rolled her eyes at me and, exasperated, asked me what's wrong with me. She again started explaining how a zipper works and showing me mockingly. I cannot believe someone his rude and condescending is actually the face of this establishment. Wow. I read some negative reviews but figured I only needed a pair of pants hemmed. So I went in, put them on and had the lady pin them. She told me it would be a week to complete which I thought was rather excessive. Returned the following week to pick up. So, when I tried them on they were about 2" too short. I went back at 9:15 the next morning because the sign indicated open at 9. She Didn't arrive to open until 9:30, no biggie. I walked in with the pants on to show her and she noticed they were too short. I said there may not be enough material to lengthen 2 ". She asked "where did you have them done". I said, you don't remember? She claimed she didn't know. I thought , what? She goes to the back and brings out the cut off pieces. I was stunned. She examined the cloth and the pants to see if was the same I was stunned again. I said just do your best. How long will it take? She said 10 days. I didn't want to argue so I agreed. She obviously hates her job, hates her customers and I will spread the word. What a disaster. Avoid at all costs. read more

First of all, I would like to give this place negative stars...but that's unfortunately not an option. I brought in my dress to be altered for my sister's wedding, the woman was a bit unpleasant, would disappear to the back and just leave you standing there for long periods of time, and just generally not very good with her customer service skills. Now, on their sign outside it says "dry cleaners" and there was a tiny little spot on my dress so I asked her if she could please get it out. She tells me she'd have to send it out. I said but your sign says dry cleaners, she just restated she would have to send it out. This should have been my red flag. But I stupidly left my dress with this woman. Today I return to retry on the dress with the alterations. She hands me my dress, not in a garment bag, not even on a hanger. Weird, but ok. I look at the dress and notice a HUGE stain now on the front. I would like to speak to her about this, but she's already disappeared to the back. So I put the dress on with the help of my mother, and she notices additional stains on the back of the dress. Now I'm pissed. Finally the wicked witch returns from the back and I tell her about the stains. She immediately gets defensive and starts yelling at me "how would she do that?" "Those were there when you brought the dress in" not even the slightest bit apologetic or even nice. So now we're screaming at each other in the store, because I know for a fact those stains were not there. Finally she says she'll send it to get cleaned, not forgetting to tell me how much it's going to cost her. Ummmm...I don't care, you messed up my dress. So now she takes back the dress and proceeds to tell me that the stains on the back are because my mom touched it with her dirty hands...what?!?!?!?! And now we're screaming at each other again. Honestly, worst experience ever. EVER. This woman is completely crazy, rude and just in general a terrible excuse for a human being. DO NOT TRUST HER WITH YOUR GARMENTS!!! read more

I brought my suit in on October 3rd,2015 to have a new liner put in and was told it would be done in a month an she would call me to pick the suit up. 2 months go by and no call so i stop in the store on Dec 3rd, 2015 and she tells me "oh they sent me black liner instead of blue an they do not have exact blue it will be lighter or darker, i was just gonna call you." I say black liner is fine its a dark navy suit. She says ok 2 weeks it will be done. A month later still not done. She says it will be done on Tues 1/5/2016. I call 1/6/2016 because i still didn't get call that suit was ready an i'm told it still is not done. I say i'm coming in for my suit n my money, i am then told i did not pay an i say i did an repeat the whole convo we had on that day n tell her to check her register an i have a receipt too as well as her having my suit for 4 months now. She says Friday 1/8/2016 suit will be done. I go in Friday an still says i did not pay and i tell her check her register receipts an show her my receipt, she says i will not check. So i say call the police an we can resolve this now. I am then handed my suit in a very rude manner. I look at suit its lined but, the jacket is lined with blue an the pants are lined with black. This place is unprofessional an rude, the owner is a scammer an did a horrible job not to mention it was not what i asked for or what i agreed to. Never use this tailor shop. read more
