Spent over an hour working on a zero drop fade. During the haircut, he poked me in the eye with his knuckle/finger at least 5 to 10 times. He held one of his brushes between his pinky and his ring finger the whole time and also poke me in the eye with that 4 to 5 times. When he was using the fan to blow hair away, he looked away and pointed it down at my chest which blew hair up into my eyes and nose. He was also pretty rough with the handling and moved my head 10,000 times and irritated my skin which I've never experienced in my whole life with a Barber. When I looked at the haircut at the end, he never touched the top which I asked him to and I told him the sides were not blended well. He said verbatim. " What you expect me to be some kind of detailist or some shit." he then proceeded to really quickly work on the top and the sides and said "shit" multiple times because he fucked up rushing. He gave me the mirror again and I said it's fine Just leave it as is, when he took the mirror away, he proceeded to clip away at my bangs super fast without any care or caution, which I think he did on purpose because he was pissed I wasn't happy with the cut. He never handed me the mirror to look at it again after he clipped up my bangs when I told him to leave it in the first place. Probably the worst haircut I've had in a decade and now I'm headed to my normal barber to get cleaned up. I almost didn't pay, but I didn't wanna start problems. Slow and bad haircut, unprofessional, rude, would not recommend going here ever again. I had a bad haircut here a few years back and decided to give another try, I regret that. There are three or four other barbershops within walking distance from this one that are all better experiences.

It's walk in only and time was ticking. They were closing at 4pm and I was out running errands with my wife and daughter so we weren''t able to get there before 3. So I figured that at least I'll swing by and just check it out. We walked in and it was like a step back in time. Very retro. The decor was very cool and the chairs were old school like at my grandfather's barbershop in the 70's. I read quite a few great reviews about Jeff (the owner) and as we walked in we got a friendly greeting from him. He was cutting a young man's hair and the the cut was fantastic. Out of the backroom came another barber named Jamie. She was super friendly and asked if I was ready. She proceeded to give me the best cut I've gotten since I can remember. Yes, leaving the back alone would allow for a faster growing out process, but I had come in because this was a maintenance cut to keep it looking polished during the growing phase, and I had made this clear. Since he insisted, I didn't press further and left. I realized after showering that it looked really bad and rushed (see photo) and came in to correct it a few days later (I live 30 mins away, otherwise I would've come in the following day). The other barber quickly cut the back shorter and still charged me. She charged a discounted rate for this correction, but I really don't agree in principle that I should've been charged at all since this was to correct something I had already asked for just a couple of days before during the actual haircut and didn't get. It's not about the money -- this place already charges less than half the price of my usual barber, but it's the principle and lack of consideration that left a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe I should've called before to ask? I did, countless times, but they don't answer their phone, and their Instagram settings don't allow you to message them. When I mentioned this during the correction haircut, the barber's response was "Yeah we don't answer our phone." This issue aside, I also noticed during the correction cut that they don't sweep the floors between customers. There are mountains of hair all over the floor that you need to step over to get to the chair, which is just disgusting. Between that, the fact that the original haircut felt very rushed, and charging me again for a small correction when I had already asked for that during my original haircut, I unfortunately can't justify returning.

Once the haircut was done, one side wasn't really blended in correctly, the top wasn't cut that right, nowhere near the quality in almost $50 haircut. Also, the place really isn't that nice inside. For $50, I'd rather go downtown, to a nice, clean and comfortable place and get a perfect haircut.
