Magic Mikes is a neighborhood favorite. The staff are engaging and invested in the restaurant. Nice place to look at men with a gym next door. Several men in their gear come and go while I wait. There are a good number of beers on tap, mostly American. More imports or local neighborhood brews would be nice. We like the flavor of the pizza crust, though it was not cooked towards the center. The sauce is tasty. The sausage is whole, cut in dimes. While the sausage tastes good, it was made with a fine grind, which is not a texture I like. I have a preference for it being crumbled and cooked not cooked then sliced. They were a bit light handed with the cheese which would've been okay but the artichoke kept falling off. Cheese is glue. I wish I paid more attention to prices when looking at menu boards. When there's a lot of info & multiple categories I tend to hone in on some things but not all, such as several different prices. Anyway, we ordered at the counter a Medium Pepperoni Pizza (14.94) & Small Teriyaki (16.99). We also got a Caesar Salad (7.99). The crisp romaine lettuce was covered in a fine blizzard of Parmesan cheese. The Pizza's were good although prices seemed a few dollars too much especially in the Classic & Signature categories as my Teriyaki had fallen under. The pizza was interesting with cilantro, chicken & teriyaki sauce, but for a small 4 piece, $17 is quite a bit. Perhaps larger pieces of chicken & pineapple would have helped but there's just so much you can put on a small. Lesson learned. My Boyfriend liked his Pepperoni Pizza but thought a few more of the topping would have been nice. Both weren't overly cheesy & the bottom crust was on the thin side making for a tasty & not too heavy slice. The outside crust's tasted good & were nice & chewy. Mine featured sesame seeds. There's a self-serve beverage area & several Beer choices. For such an unassuming building located in an unassuming area (a giant parking lot shared with The Rinks-Westminster Ice & Heidi's Donuts) Magic Mikes Pizza is a pretty lively place! I was a little nervous because the pizzas looked a little sad. They are a very thin crust. However, the was so light and fluffy. Quite amazing. Love the flavor of the sauce. New pizza place that took over Adriano's space. Adriano's was good but it was dank, dark, and scary inside. Magic Mike totally gutted the place and made it very inviting. Bright new interior with comfortable seating in the form of booths, tables, and a outdoor patio. There's rock music playing and TV's everywhere. Menu is pizza, sandwiches, pasta, and salads. There's beer in the bottle, beer on draft, soda fountain, and "house wine". Adriano's was always dead. This place was packed to the brim. Huge line of people with pretty much every spot taken. The cashier was having trouble figuring out the register which was causing a major delay. Mike kept trying to help her but he was busy cooking. Luckily I called in ahead of time to get my pizza cooking. I ordered a pepperoni & jalapeno pizza, a pint of Four Sons IPA, and thanks to yelp check-in a free fountain drink. My wife went to get diet coke and it was clear soda water. We let the cashier know and they said they had no more diet coke. Since they could see my wife's blood boiling they were nice enough to give her a 2 litter bottle of diet coke for the table. From then on though they didn't put a sign on the dispenser or warn people so several customers after us ended up getting their own 2 liter. The pizza looked and smelled delicious. I was very hopeful. When I picked up the slice it was limper than a cooked lasagna noodle. It was like a wet sock. It did a complete 90 degree angle from the "pizza bone" to the pizza when lifting it. Not a single part of the slice could be eaten by hand. The entire thing up to the "bone" had to be eaten with a fork. Not even folding it could help. At this stage I was pissed, BUT.. the flavors were great. The sauce tasted homemade and had a great flavor. The cheese tasted high quality too. Lots of pepperoni and jalapenos. If the crust itself would have allowed the slice to be eaten by hand this would have been a solid 4 star pizza but the limpness of it dropped it down to a 2 star pizza. Thanks to the great service and atmosphere I'll give it a 3. I really want to like this place since it's so close to my house but it was truly the limpest pizza in town. I'm hoping it was a fluke due to the massive amount of customers that were pouring in at once and they were trying to get pizzas out quick to make room for new ones. Placed an order through Yelp for a large margarita pizza, cheese pizza, and garlic bread. I placed the order at 6:04 and according to Yelp email I would get a text from Magic mikes when order was ready for pick up. At 6:47 I had not received a text so I called and they told me it was ready and had been sitting in the warmer. My daughter went to pick up the pizza and said everyone was just sitting around doing nothing and she had to ask them to help her get her order. When we opened the pizza we were surprised at a very sad looking Margarita pizza. The pizza as simple as a margarita pizza is very hard to disappoint, but this one did!!! It was a crust with sauce and small drops of cheese, nothing else. I decided to call and ask what exactly is suppose to be on the pizza. The guy that answered said cheese tomato, and basil. I told him only sauce and a small amount of cheese was on the pizza I received. He then asked me, "so, what do you want me to do about it". I told him I was disappointed that I did not get the pizza I ordered as it was missing some of the key ingredients. He said, "well maybe we can refund you for it." Since I had ordered it from Yelp I was referred back to Yelp to seek my refund. One of the best gluten free pizzas I've had in a long time!!! The gluten free supreme and Hawaiian pizzas are great. The gluten free breadsticks are lovely as well. I've been a few times, and have yet to be disappointed. The decode is a bit off-putting... there seems to be an indecisive theme but I don't visit for the ambiance, or lack thereof. I strictly go for the takeout. Staff has been friendly, the food takes slightly longer than standard, but overall one of my go-to spots when I lived in this area!
