I stopped here for a tour based off a referral. I was looking for something to get our kids started…read morein a socialized setting, but only for a short amount of time. Most daycares in the area do not offer 2 day or 3 1/2 day options. I was glad to hear that it was offered here. The price was higher than its competitors, like St Matthew's school in Chester Springs. I met with Dawn and she was very informative and gave us a wonderful tour. My daughter was there as well and she just blended right in! She was super comfortable with all the teachers. The favorite thing I loved learning about the preschool was that it has been around for over 40 years and all of their teachers have been there over 5, 10, 15, 20 years. Their church has been around for 275 years! We are definitely considering coming here next year!

My oldest son has been a student for 3 years. He will be starting kindergarten in the fall. Zion…read morehas helped prepare him and has created an atmosphere that is fun and educational. My 4 year old loves going to school. His teachers have all been great. He struggles with fine motor skills and his teacher takes the time to create special homework assignments for him that will help increase his abilities. I am enrolling my 2 year old in the fall. The office staff are extremely friendly, supportive and understanding. The only drawback for working parents is pickup is by 530 and typically there are fewer than 4 students remaining at this time. I don't mind it because I like the attention my son receives, but my husband would prefer more kids to play with for him at the end of the day. Prices are the best in the area for what you get. Definitely send your kids! Best preschool experience!

I gave KWS four stars because no school is perfect. However, I would have no hesitation in sending…read moremy child there. I attended KWS from K-12th, and graduated in 2011. I had several academic weaknesses that I believe would have landed me in special ed if I had attended public school. Going to Kimberton allowed me to grow into myself in my own time. I *highly* recommend it. I teach at an afterschool program in NYC's Chinatown, and I see stressed, overworked children daily. Their parents hold the attitude that if they constantly study (after school, weekends, vacation, 24/7), only then will they succeed. I have observed several develop anxiety, and too many of them lack the ability to truly think for themselves. My point is, I did not even receive homework in lower school at all and still managed to grow into a capable, college educated adult. KWS (and Waldorf ed in general) actually puts careful thought into the development of children instead of treating them like mini robots. In response to Michael D: All schools have "risky social aspects", but that is due to the students, not the school. In my time at KWS, those who "indulged in pretty much all of it" were strongly dealt with by the school if the incident was on school grounds. Anything else is not the responsibility of the school, but your own, Michael. If you are concerned about what your kid is getting up to, perhaps take a look at your own parental discipline methods?

Absolutely horrible administration! The Principal and the Administration team were well aware that…read moremy son was getting bullied and assaulted at the school. I plead and begged them the entire school year to please move him to another classroom. It took until the end of the school year and my son having a mental break down and having to admitted into a hospital for them to take it more seriously! Once he was discharged from the hospital, they finally listen to me and placed him another classroom, where he can be safe and happy coming to school. Moreover, this most recent school, I thought that things had improved. But unfortunately I found out that my son had water bottles thrown at his head and water dumped on him. He was also punched in the face with a visible mark and absolutely no one informed me that my son had been assaulted! They then even retaliated and sent me an email how my son was punching a teddy bear the week prior. It was highly unsettling that instead of acknowledging that they have failed him in this regard and instead of them coming up with a plan to stop the bullying, they decide to flip it on us instead. I'm sorry, but I would much rather my son take his frustration out on a teddy bear, rather then punching anyone in the face. This school is disgraceful. They have taught my child absolutely nothing in the 4 years he has been there. Do not send your child here if you want them to get an actual education. This is more of a wearhouse for children then an actual education all setting. Your child is not safe here and will not learn anything.I'm
