Magic Evan did a truly amazing job this past weekend for my son's virtual 8th birthday party. The show was clever, engaging, funny and most of all very special for all. As a surprise for our daughter's 7th birthday, my husband and I requested the presence of Magic Evan for a Zoom call. We got the Magic Wizard School package, with goodie bags and magic class, which is definitely highly recommended! Magic Evan really lived up to his name! Evan provided us with a Zoom meeting link and all I had to do was sent out an Evite to the parents. After I got the final count, I provided the guest names and addresses. Evan mailed all the goodie bags in advance, with buffer time for postal slowness. He also sent an advanced magic set for the birthday girl! In addition, Evan emailed tips and resources as the days passed to help plan for any virtual party time. He is truly a whole party package advisor! On the day of the show, we set up two laptops, one for my daughter to view the show and one for us to monitor the kids on the call. Magic Evan was amazing! He fully engaged the kids by calling out their names, got them to act along, and made them laugh and gasp in amazement. Heck, us adults were stumped and amazed by some of the tricks! I felt like a kid again! Most importantly, as we watched the kids laugh and interact with Evan on the screen, it felt like everyone was together again. It felt so good seeing the kids so excited, given the times we are currently facing with social distancing. The parents were also letting me know afterwards that their kids kept showing off the cool new magic tricks they learned that night with the goodie bag. My daughter enjoyed the show so much, she asked if we can have Evan at her 8th birthday party next year. LOL! My granddaughter Ada was celebrating her fifth birthday party, and lots of friends, their younger siblings, and parents were invited. We weren't worried about the size of the crowd, because there is a lovely shared outdoor space in the back of the co-op. Well, the day of the party (yesterday) it rained very heavily. I saw disaster looming as 5 year olds, younger sisters and brothers, and babes in their parents' arms trooped into the co-op. The kids had snacks, drinks, ran around the place, yelled and screamed, and jumped on Ada's bed. Then Evan showed up. With a few quiet words, he had all the kids sitting on a rug, absolutely transfixed. Every kid, from 5 years old to pre-verbal, was mesmerized, The tricks were age-appropriate, which really surprised me, since there were so many different ages. No one said, "I know how you did that," or "I've seen that one before." The only time the kids moved was when Evan asked for volunteers. Ada has had four birthdays. (I'm not counting the first because it was so low-key.) This was by far the best, and will remain so, at least until my daughter arranges for a bigger place where we can have an elephant visit. But not everybody likes elephants. And everyone loves Evan. read more

We booked Magic Evan's show for my 6 year old son's virtual birthday party. He was fantastic! First off, he is incredibly organized and sends multiple emails leading up to the date. You can also schedule a call with him beforehand to chat if you have questions. He kept our group of about 40 (half kids, half adults) entertained and laughing for 30 minutes. He also leaves about 15 minutes before the show and 15 minutes after the show free on Zoom so you can also plan a game, sing happy birthday, etc. I still don't understand how he did most of his tricks!! Magic Evan recently performed at my daughter's 4th birthday and was fabulous. Children ranged in age from 2.5 to 7 and every child loved it. I was unsure if they would have the attention span to watch him for 45 minutes but every child was enraptured by his performance. They were cracking up and so excited by each of his tricks. Even the adults enjoyed the performance and paid attention throughout the entire thing. My daughter already asked if he could come to her 5th birthday too :) In terms of planning, he was easy to work with and responded quickly to all of my (many) emails. I thought he was hilarious as did many of the adults...and the kids were belly laughing the whole time and they had a blast. His magic was geared toward the young children he was entertaining and he included them in the show. We were at our company picnic in a park...so most of the kids sat on blankets in front of him (as did some of the moms!) He made it fun and not at all frightening or overwhelming for the shy children also. My only critique (if you can call it that) would be that he needs to expand his choices in the balloon making. He said he did balloon art and he did, but it was only a choice of about three very simple things, and he made the mistake of asking the kids what they wanted. OOPS! I would definitely have him again...balloons or no balloons. Very funny...lots of fun! read more

Wow! Still thinking about my son's 5th birthday party back in November. We had seen Magic Evan perform at another birthday party a couple years prior and were very excited to have his at our party.
