Maggies has been THE donuts of choice for my family for the last 40 years. I have NEVER been so disappointed and will never again buy a Maggies donut. I called on Saturday and the young lady told me they would be open til 1 pm on Sunday 5/24/26, and she took my order for a dozen and a half donuts for my Memorial day breakfast. We showed up at 12:32 pm on the 24th to find them CLOSED. No good Maggies. No good. She had my phone number, someone could have called to let me know you chose to close. Ingredient changes , smaller products higher prices and never fresh donuts ( And i gave a few tries also ) It's no wonder they just recently got beat out of their location in front of Wal Mart by a amish bakery in the plaza behind where they was at and because of so ,,, moved out ,Also another amish bakery that just opened on the right going into downtown Middlefield is way better than Maggies , The kids working at Maggies when i went were clueless on when i asked what brand coffee they serve , Just goes to show why they lost a good location on what i mentioned above read more

So I stopped by Maggie's Doughnuts in Middlefield to get some fresh variety of doughnuts like I have in the past during certain occasions, BUT this time I was given some Donuts which I would consider day OLD Rocks, yes not sure what happened but the Amish girl behind the counter gave me a variety of doughnuts and I paid and walked out the door, Little did I know when I got home and gave some to my family MANY of them were HARD AS ROCKS and defiantly Not day FRESH, I would of been better off walking into a Walmart and buying the boxed donuts and they would be fresher and tastier.. I Paid $7 bucks for 6 doughnuts which isn't cheap and it just was NOT worth it at all , IF I knew they would be ROCKS, I wouldn't even wanted them for free.. Over 20 years ago I moved to Middlefield and found Maggie's and there was no doubt they had some of the best donut. My employees begged me to bring them in every week. But something has changed. The recipe is not the same. Also they have gotten much smaller along with the price continually going up. I'm officially done with them. Right now Dunkin Donuts and Giant Eagle are better. The best competition to them was George's in Twinsburg but its just to far from home for me. read more

Donuts are above par, service, sub par. I wanted to be fair by giving 3 stars because quality of product is far deserving. I am from Louisville, KY & come to Middlefield to visit in-laws. I ate 13 donuts in 6 days while in Middlefield. I don't eat sweets, and I never eat donuts but I was told that Maggie's donuts was the best on the planet. Well that seems to be a little big so I had to try it myself. Oh my, I snap chatted and facebooked every time I went in there. The donuts are incredibly good. The family that owns it is so wonderful that I did a vlog on them. This place is special. My top favorites are the cinnamon roll, croissant, custard donut with chocolate frosting, and then the blueberry cake donut. you have to get a donut here. You just have to. It's amazingly how tasty and not as sweet as other donuts are. I highly recommend if you're reading this, turn your car towards Maggie's and order a dozen. Stopped in today with my family. The donuts were good. The grey haired woman behind the counter was beyond rude. It's one thing to be disrespectful. Another thing to be disrespectful in front of small children. Her attitude was unnecessary. You could tell she wasn't interested in us being there. I have driven by Maggie's in Hiram many times on my way to golf at Sugarbush and last week I finally decided to stop. Loved the coffee and the apple fritter. The young Amish girl behind the counter was so nice and gave me great service. I was surprised at how little I paid. What a great bargain. My only regret is that I never stopped here before. It will definitely be a must stop now on my way to golf. Can't wait to try the other donuts, muffins, or a breakfast sandwich. read more

Just got back from Maggie's in Hiram. Will not go back! Donuts were good but the service was horrible. Asked for a large coffee with the order of donuts. They were out of coffee. The lady behind the counter said she was going to make more now and would bring it to our table shortly. Great! More customers came in she proceeded to give out a least 2 more large coffees. We were waiting thinking she would be coming with the coffee. Finally we finished our donuts as I approached the counter with an insincere smile she says "I was just bringing you your coffee." I watch her pour the coffee from the bottom of both pots. Poor service will not get anymore of my money. Hello Dunkin Donuts! read more

My daughter and I stopped here at the suggestion of several people and reviews and it was everything and more than we had been told! It is a very tiny shop without room to really sit and eat in so we got a bunch of goodies to go and had a car picnic breakfast that was out of this world. Our goody box included glazed donuts, a strawberry donut, a maple bacon donut, and a caramel apple muffin. She devoured the maple bacon and said it was one of the best she had ever eaten. The bacon was cooked thick and crispy and the maple was not too heavy on the donut. I loved my strawberry donut. They add a very light whipped cream type icing with it and it makes for the most wonderful taste when you bite into it. We shared the caramel apple muffin and could not finish it as we were so full from our donuts we had eaten. But we both agreed we needed more of these muffins. They were like mini apple spice cakes. good sized pieces of apple in them and then drizzled in a delicious buttery caramel - but not overpowering. Great with milk! OH and speaking of milk, They have milk from a local dairy and it is the best I have ever had!!!! Such a great treat. Must go here agin. read more

I thought we had good bakeries in Pennsylvania where I'm from but we recently moved to Ohio and Maggie's Donuts have the absolute best donuts that I've ever tasted. I haven't had a bad flavor yet but my favorites are the fry pies with cherry filling and the croissants with the glaze. WAY too addicting. read more
