What should have been lighthearted children's entertainment felt tense and uncomfortable. We had a phenomenal experience with Luis as our wedding DJ! Planning a wedding out of state (and in…read morea different time zone) was quite a challenge and when starting the initial search for DJ's, Luis was the only one out of everybody we reached out to that didn't require us to get on a phone call to go over pricing, so that was an automatic green flag off the bat. From the moment we booked Luis, communication was present. I feel like a lot of people I've talked with book their DJ, have one meeting, and see them at the wedding, but that was not our experience with Luis. We had a few meetings, several text chains, and certainly felt the line was always open if we needed something. One of my favorite things was Luis' hype texts the week of as if he was one of our people actually attending the wedding. Luis did everything we wanted at the ceremony and reception in regard to announcements and mic ups. We left Luis in charge of the music selection for the reception and from our personal experience and a few friend's comments, he did a great job with his selection! Luis was great before the wedding, during the wedding, and even after the wedding, and I cannot recommend him enough!

I was very specific with what I wanted for food. The order was for : 1. Large pan of Lasagna ( very tastety). 2. Glazed carrots ( just a tiny bit too sweet) 3. Green beans almondine. ( not impressed. It had a lot of sliced almonds, but they weren't toasted!! And for me toasted almond is what makes the green beans taste soooo good!). 4. Pasta with scrimp and scallops in a creamy Alfredo sauce . ( Every one who had it loved it)! 5. Garlic mash potatoes, not impressed. A lot of the potatoes weren't fully cooked and they had absolutely no flavor. There definitely wasn't any garlic in them at all. A lot of my guests were unhappy with them as well. 6. Macaroni and cheese, you would think with such a simple dish how could it not be absolutely wondetful? I don't know what they used for cheese, but one of them was so sharp and bitter that I had to spit it out. Even my husband who will eat just about anything, he didn't want them. Literally only 2 guest liked it. One was my neice so I gave her the whole pan to take home! 7. Baked stuffed chicken . I had send out invites to 60 ppl so she wanted 3 trays of the chicken . When the final number was 45 she wanted me to keep the same number this was there was one for everyone . I didn't have a problem with that. The first tray of chicken was very dry and all of the chicken only had a very thin layer of stiffing. I was dissapointed with that. The 2 other trays of chicken were nice and moist. My other problem was I took home 24 pieces of chicken so in hind sight I think 2 trays would have been enough. Oh the chicken was flavorful just way too much to take home! We had a ton of left overs ! At least 1/2 of each tray Except for the salad , there was only another 1/20 left. They salad was really good! Very well proportioned everything inside. Overall though the food was pretty good except for a few items! Even though not everything was to my likings we all need to realize everyone makes dished differently . Some we like and others we won't . Also I think I could have been more explicit on how I wanted some of the items made. I would use this company if the need arose. I usually find myself at events whispering to the person next to me about little things I see that aren't perfect or that I would have done differently. I recently found myself at an event produced by Regina and the Rise Events team at Ohana School of Dance for Ashley Kohl. I stood back and watched... ready to comment. I was surprised to be a bit in awe because I find it hard to have my expectations met when it comes to event production, but there she was "a mini-me" (which I hope she takes as a compliment). That event wasn't a fluke because she was involved in the Chris Thibault Carwash at Mercedes-Benz and I have to say... she is a true event guru. Regina has become a trusted confidant and someone I feel more than capable to recommend to clients I have previously worked with who are in need of event assistance. Regina is truly outstanding.
