We have a Maine Coon who gets mats when he sheds in the spring. Finn is not cooperative when we try to comb them out; and we've learned that a close groom is really the only way to make him comfortable throughout the summer months. He's an indoor cat, but the mats are still bad. Maestro came to the house and shaved his coat without hurting Finn or leaving any razor burns (which we've dealt with before from other groomers). It took about a half hour and I believe that Ananda reduced Finn's stress levels by being both thorough and quick. Having this done at home is a real plus. It can be difficult to find a reputable cat groomer, but I highly recommend Maestro. read more

I have to thank Maestro for the great grooming he did 2x on my fussy older cat. She won't let me touch her fur knots, but in less than 20 minutes he returned her smooth and gorgeous. Not only that, she was not traumatized. She acted downright proud and happy - like she'd had a satisfying spa day. I don't know how he does it. He said she was like a bunny...I really doubt it! The only negative is that it is frustrating that Maestro is often unavailable. We don't know what to do when he's away. He deserves 5 stars. read more

I was told by a neighbor he charged $75, but he took 1/2 hour with my dog and charged me $100. Even worse, I explained to him I didn't want my dog "shaved down", but wanted his beard, tail and paws left fluffy. He handed me a dog that looked like a skinned rat! No beard, everything just shaved off almost down to the skin. My dog is a terrier mix who had a curly, scruffy coat that I loved. Now it will take at least six months to a year to grow back. I don't think this groomer listened to me...maybe a language barrier? I"m really upset, my dog is unrecognizable. read more

I found Ananda to be courteous and attentive to my wishes concerning the grooming. This was Bentley's first experience with Ananda, and he was obviously treated gently and efficiently. Our labradoodle is fourteen and a half, very mellow and 'easy' but hates his beard being groomed. That was obviously no problem, as he came back indoors looking fantastic. Ananda groomed him beautifully and I am very pleased. I just used this groomer for my cat I asked for a lion cut as he was extremely matted and needed help fast. Although his prices were affordable or a lot lower than most I don't think I'll be returning. It took him less than 30 mins to clip nail, shave and bath the cat ? He shaved the entire cat bald except for his tail he was literally bald when he gave him back to me. The cat was done in 25 mins. He groomed so close to his skin he later developed scabs. He claims to bath the animals but my cat wasn't wet and his tail ( this was the only hair he had left) he wasn't wet or damp either. My cat kept holding his paw as if he was hurt so I'm not sure if when he clipped his nails he cut to close or what was the issue. Last but not least my cat was having respiratory issues breathing through his nose so if you care about your pet stay away far away. The truck was dirty the cut was too severe and I'm not sure where he has gotten his training but I'm not going back ever. read more

Anada did a remarkable job with the our beloved, but testy, cat. Dixie is a long-haired tuxedo cat who is short-tempered in the best of circumstances. Even Anada had to admit she was one "angry cat" so we were wondering if she could be groomed at all. As is common with elderly cats, she had developed mats almost everywhere, especially on her back and stomach. We had tried unsuccessfully to cut them out ourselves but, with Dixie's temperament, it proved impossible. However, Anada performed the impossible in under 20 minutes! We were expecting her to look like a mangy cat with shaved areas where the mats once were. Not so! The mats were brushed out and removed and she looked like her young self again. Ananda did a fantastic job on grooming and nail trim on my cat, Cindie. Cindie is 14 years old and very skittish when it comes to strangers. Her coat was becoming badly matted, and it was nearly impossible to brush her. She would actually snarl and attack the brush. It was time to get a professional involved. I was very apprehensive because I thought she would have to be sedated in order to be able to work on her. Due to her age, I wanted to avoid sedation if at all possible. It took a lot of research on various groomers, and I finally found Ananda. He assured me that he had worked with many cats, and he felt that he would be able to handle Cindie successfully without sedation. Off they went to his van - not a sound of anguish did I hear coming from her in the carrier. About 40 minutes later there was a knock at my door and Ananda brought her in placed the carrier on the floor and opened the door. Not a sound came from Cindie. She exited the carrier with her new look - a Lion cut. She had no symptoms of any stress whatsoever. I am sure she feels much more comfortable with all those mats gone. We had a great experience with Maestro Grooming for our 5 month old Persian kitten that loves to play and has little tolerance for being brushed around his chest and belly. Eventually, he'd developed some serious mats we knew we had get shaved out with a belly shave. Ananda was very pleasant and quick with his work to minimize the trauma to our kitten. He's deaf so there are really no words soothing words to really calm the kitten, quick work is best! About 30 mins later and our kitten was feeling much better with a dematted coat and trimmed nails! He also found some deeper mats on his hind legs that had gone unnoticed by us and sent us off with a recommendation for a better comb get his long, fine kitten fur. I hope we don't have to come to Maestro Grooming under the same circumstances again but if we are ever in need of services I know I'll be calling Ananda again. read more

Ananda is wonderful. My 100+lb German Shepherd, Timber, is a rescue and I wasn't sure what he'd be like to groom. Ananda has that calm, confidant touch that just put you and your dog at ease. I worked with a dog groomer once, so I know what to look for. I asked Ananda to blow out his undercoat. Shepherds shed like no tomorrow. Ananda does work quickly, and yeah my pup was a bit damp after, but he was also beautiful. Timber didn't smell like a bunch if chemicals or perfume. He wasn't itchy, which can mean they aren't rinsed well. He was just clean, soft, and well groomed. We laughed about how much of Timber's coat was blown off. "Whew! Like a cloud of fur!" He said. My Pomeranian had her first grooming with Ananda today. He arrived 15 minutes early and was prepared to groom our dog. He wore a mask (during corona virus).
