We adopted our dog Ellie back in September 2021. She is a 115lb Anatolian shepherd mix with longer, sheddy hair. She is also very terrified and nervous in car rides so we've been looking for a mobile groomer for some time. Everyone is either booked/not accepting new clients OR not taking dogs over 100 pounds. Ellie was getting really stinky and dirty but luckily we came about Carrie's business through a few other groomers that had recommended her. She is the best!!! She texted us back right away and was very accommodating to our schedule. We were able to book something and she came over with her big bus/van. She came inside our house to meet Ellie first and get her comfortable (and had lots of yummy cheese to give Ellie for treats!) and then we all went out into the bus/van. She let me and my daughter come in the van first and Ellie followed us shortly after. Ellie was a bit nervous but from what Carrie said, she did great!!! Carrie was very gentle and sweet with Ellie and went as slow as needed as to not scare her. Ellie got the works and came out looking/feeling/smelling like a new dog (and she even got a cute little bandana to show off) I'm so grateful we found Carrie and I highly recommend her! read more

Great job! Knows how to do the job efficiently and effectively. Nice person. Quickly gets the work done.

This was truly a lovely experience for myself and my kitty! It's quite hard to find cat groomers in general and I was so glad to find Carrie! First of all Carrie is a badass! Upon arrival, she straight up jumped out of her vehicle with a pair of pruning sheers to trim some branches(obviously she checked in with me first, so freakin considerate!)that could have caused a problem for her amazing business on wheels! Anyway, she arrives and is warm, kind and welcoming right away. I instantly felt at ease. AND so did my cat!!! Don't get me wrong,my cat is not ferocious in the least, she's just a scaredy-cat! And there she was, chillin on Carrie's lap while we chatted! Carrie finished the haircut quickly and meticulously. My cat looked like a new woman! I could tell she was super happy and way more comfy with her new do! Most of all, it was so lovely to know my little boo boo kitty was safe and well loved right in my driveway! Not to mention the stress it saved my lil critter to not have to endure two car rides in one day! GROOVY GROOMING deserves all the love. Prices are perfect. You will not be disappointed!!! read more

We have a miniature poodle that requires regular grooming. In the three years that she's been with us we have been to several groomers with unsatisfactory experiences. After calling Groovy Grooming the owner, Carrie, sent us her only employee (Sean). I wasn't exactly sure about having a person come into our home for this service but it only took one time to know that we have found our groomer. We see Sean on a regular six week schedule and our poodle looks fantastic. Groovy Grooming (Sean) is professional, courteous and above all else a very knowledgeable and skillful groomer. The rates are affordable and as a matter of fact comparable to the costs we saw at most drop-off facilities. Sean arrives with all the tools and materials required and he sets everything up in our bathroom. The only thing he needs from us is our bathtub and an electrical outlet. He even paints our poodle's nails when he's finished (using special puppy polish). Groovy Grooming has earned 5 stars from this fickle reviewer. Thank you G.G. & Sean! read more

Groovy Grooming - Freshly groomed and feeling pretty :) - Pet Groomers Near Me

As a former vet tech I can highly recommend groovy grooming. The owner Carrie is extremely knowledgeable about pet care and has many years of experience in the industry. All their groomers are well trained and will go the extra mile to make sure that pets are healthy, happy and have a good experience. I wouldn't trust my beloved pets to anyone else. read more

Run, don't walk, to get an appointment with Carrie! I have a mixed breed dog with long hair and many groomers have struggled to achieve the right look for him. When I dropped him off with Carrie, I didn't give her any direction other than to please make him look cute and shorten up his coat (but not too much). I was stunned when I came back to pick him up! She did an absolutely AMAZING job! Seriously, this is the best my dog has ever looked. Worth every penny! Carrie is not your average groomer- she truly takes the time to do the best job possible for your dog. HIGHLY recommended! read more

Groovy Grooming - Before and after! Carrie is a true miracle worker! This is the best my dog has ever looked. Thank you Carrie! - Pet Groomers Near Me

Having the team from Groovy Grooming come to my house (vs taking my pups to the groomers and having to go back later to pick them up) saves me so much time and definitely works for my schedule. They are consistent, friendly and my pups love them! read more

Carrie is the BEST groomer around. She has the patience for my cocker, and she sure is a handful! She is a client at my old employer, and was there to help groom pets there too. Thank you Carrie!!! read more

Carrie was wonderful with my longhaired older cat. She had developed mats all over her back and chest. Being older and overweight she was not able to keep up on her grooming. We decided that a full lion cut would benefit her most. She has had mats removed only one other time in her life but never a full body shave. This was a first. I stayed and observed lending my kitty moral support. She was a champ. The only time she was a little annoyed was her belly shave. She is touchy about us even petting her belly so this did not surprise me. We were also 45 min to an hour into the groom by then, but in Carrie's wonderful air-conditioned unit it was so comfortable. My 11-year-old LeeLoo will be comfortable for months now, and Carrie's prices are reasonable and competitive. Too bad I can't give her 10 STARS! read more

Thank you! My review is long over due. My cat always looks great...because of you. I will continue to recommend you to my friends.

I have a very energetic beagle who just turned two. It's hard to get him to stay still under ideal conditions, but throw in something like a bath or getting his nails trimmed (which he hates more than anything) and it's pretty much impossible! Somehow, both Carrie and Sean from Groovy Grooming have managed to not only get the job done, but to get it done perfectly! They are punctual, they have fair prices, and their results are amazing! Highly recommended! read more

I have had Carrie for maybe five years now and she does an awsome job on our four dogs. 2 Cairns, a Welsh Terrier and a Dachshund...he just gets a bath , claws trimmed and teeth brushing as do all the rest as part of the grooming. It is fantastic and the dogs absolutely love Carrie and Sean (when he comes too) I'm so glad to have found Carrie as my homemade efforts were embarrassing to them and to me. read more

Carrie was our Pogo's groomer for years and always did a great job. We moved to Reno about 9 months ago and can't find any groomer who is comparable to Groovy Grooming, so we drove back to Santa Rosa and Carrie fit Pogo into her schedule and did her usual amazing job. He looks great, and we'll be back regularly. It's worth the trip! Thanks, Carrie! read more

consistency counts ... and it is worth a whole lot. Sean of Groovy Grooming has groomed our dog several times now and Sean is consistently awesome. Our dog (Mocha) loves him and Mocha looks perfect every time Sean leaves. HIGHLY recommend Groovy Grooming. read more

Carrie and Carly do an amazing job with my two dogs. Very professional and my dogs get excited when they arrive. I highly recommend them. Dogs look great and so nice to know they don't need to stay in a kennel all day as if they went to a groomers shop. Thanks Carrie and Carly read more

Carrie has groomed our dogs for years and years. They always look beautiful!. We have had others groom our dogs in the past and the poor pups have come home with wounds. With Carrie our pups have never been injured and always look great! read more

I am so glad that we found Carrie. She has done such a great job on my Morkie. She also has groomed our very energetic Australian Shepard /Border Collie. They both look the best that they ever have. Carrie did an incredible job cleaning up an over weight, elderly rescue shepherd mix dog! The poor dog was very dirty and matted, hadn't been brushed in years. I had done my best with a slicker and a comb, but the mats were beyond me. After Carrie spent 1.5 hours on her she looked and smelled great! Carrie did all this for free through the rescue group. Her service should be called Goddess Grooming! read more

Carrie is the best groomer ever! She has groomed our two Shih Tzu's since they were puppies. They are eight and ten years old now. She truly loves animals and treats my pups as her own. She comes to groom them every five weeks and will let us know if she feels they have any health issues after their grooming. We recently went on a three month trip with our dogs and upon our return, Carrie was able to groom them right away. After their grooming, Carrie suggested I take Sadie to the vet to have her ears checked for infections and to have a urine test done as she could smell an odor that may be a UTI. Sadie was at the vet a few days later and it was discovered that she did have two ear infections. I requested her urine be tested even though the vet didn't feel it was necessary as she had no other symptoms. I received a call the next day from the vet saying that Sadie did have a UTI and to come by for some antibiotics. Carrie knows my pups so well that she detected something was wrong. This was not the first time Carrie detected a health issue while grooming the dogs. I feel that being proactive with their health issues have kept our vet bills to a minimum Thanks to Carrie and the love and care she provides my dogs. I would recommend Carrie to anyone that needs to have their dog or cat groomed. Carrie groomed my neighbors cat for years and they have always been extremely happy with the results. Everyone that uses Carrie in my neighborhood feels that she is part of their family. To stay on top of her profession, Carrie has been trained and received the designation of Master Groomer. We are so happy to have her caring for our dogs and being a part of our family. Thanks so much Carrie, you're the best! read more

Groovy Grooming - Pet Groomers Near Me

We have two long hair cats who get very hot in the summer so we get them shaved (which they love!). We absolutely LOVE Carrie. She always brings someone with her, which I think helps, especially for cats. She is so patient with them and doesn't try to force them to do anything when they're not ready. She was even super careful with our little guy who had hip surgery and has a knee that pops in and out. Unfortunately, we had to move out of the area and let me tell you, we can't wait to move back, just for her! Shaving cats is as tough as it gets grooming and she does a wonderful job! read more

We have two toy poodles. We met Carrie when they were quite young. She provides a fantastic service and does an outstanding job. We have always had poodles and the "bricks and mortar" groomers left us a bit cold with those little waiting boxes and every dog crying on a chain. Carrie arrives, on time, at our house with her equipment, sets up, lovingly grooms the dogs and cleans up thoroughly. Her rates are right in line with any other groomer. The dogs are happy to see her and love taking their "breaks" on the sofa that they are used to. It is sooo nice to have the dogs groomed at home. She will even groom the dogs when you are not home. Carrie is very patient with the dogs and works with them gently whether they are having a great day...or an off day. And they always look darling!! I highly recommend Groovy Grooming. read more

We have a standard poodle named Sofa who has been groomed by Carrie for the last four years. She is now fourteen years old and has been groomed by many different groomers over her lifetime. Our poodle loves Carrie and gets very excited when we just say Carrie's name and tell her that "Carrie is coming". Carrie makes it so easy because she comes to your house, and when she leaves, you would never even know she was there except for the "show ready dog". Carrie has done an amazing job grooming Sofa even as she has aged greatly recently, and she poses grooming challenges due to wobbliness, hips giving out, etc. Carrie grooms Sofa regularly every six weeks, and is the best!!!! read more

Sean and Carrie have come to my home twice to groom my senior kitty. They are speedy and gentle. Carrie speaks softly to my cat while grooming, much like I would. Sean is a great assistant, quick with a comforting towel or chin rubs to soothe a nervous pet. They are thorough with cleanup and can offer helpful pet care tips. They fully deserve high marks for convenience, quality and service! read more

I have a toy poodle that before I met Carrie at Groovy Grooming never had a regular grooming. Right before I found Carrie my dog was cut really bad in 2 places from a groomer getting the razor stuck in his fur. Carrie is the dog whisperer! She does an amazing job every time! My dog was very skittish after the grooming accident and she has found solutions for all his quirky behavior. I would never take him to anyone else now. Carrie who owns Groovy Grooming is a real sweetheart and she does a beautiful job of grooming our little Bichon, Mimi. I highly recommend her and so does Mimi! read more

Carrie is a wonderful groomer. She comes to the house with her truck. The dogs are done in about an hour to an hour and a half. They don't have to sit in a cage waiting for their turn and getting stressed out. She is fast, gentle, and loves animals. She does a really nice job and we are happy we found her. read more

I had just acquired an angora goat. It was a mess, matted wool, giant fur balls, and I could tell it required professional. Carrie worked us in and the result was an amazing transformation. I thought I had bought a female, but it took hair removal to discover Oz was actually a boy. He was glistening white when she finished and both of us were VERY happy. Great service and.facilities. read more

My mom loves groovy grooming. She has carrie groom her dog. The dog is a lhasa apso mix. My mom has very specific ways on how she wants her dogs cut done and Carrie always does exactly what she wants. I do like tha fact that they come to your house to groom your dog, rather then stressing your dog out by taking it and leaving it at the groomers for awhile. It's nice that they can stay home, where they are mostly comfortable. read more
