Every school has it's strengths, but Martingilio's undeniably has the best self-defense in town. Master Chris brings a depth of knowledge to the school not only from his 30 years of experience and almost that long teaching, but also by offering optional seminars taught by other experts in their art. His school also has the longest staying power for adult black belts. At Martingilio's the 1st - 3rd degree Black Belts continue to learn because of Chris' 7th degree and because of the unique resource of having an active world renowned 9th Degree who trains at the dojo and offers classes.

Karate, in general, has helped our son with his focus, respect and discipline (as well as his performance in school). Not that he was a bad kid to begin with, but everyone can use a little help, right? We are not sorry we took this path. Infinity has a terrific bunch of teachers - from the owner on down, they are dedicated to helping each individual in class. They have a positive attitude and the kids really like and respect their instructors. I enjoy watching from the viewing area - it's impressive what these folks do and what these kids learn... The graduation ceremonies are nice ways to recognize each person's achievement. There are also demonstrations by the instructors to help remind the kids where they are headed. I have two recommendations from this: 1) If you're thinking about karate for your child (or yourself - they have adult classes too!), try it! The results are great! 2) For #1, see Infinity Martial Arts. They care, and they're great! FYI: New address is: ================= 8233 Forsythia St. Middleton, WI 53562

Buyer beware of a place that pushes past accolades, or their father's past accolades. We had experience with a different ATA organization before we moved here, and I wish we had sought out ATA again. Instead, we found a place close to home and the difference is night and day. ATA focuses on character development, real skills, encouraging kids and preventing bullying. The other place focused on money. If you have any doubts, please just try ATA West. We actually got started here through a Groupon, and I am so glad we did. My 7 year old came home tonight asking me what he could do to learn more about self-discipline. He has committed to caring for our dog and running nightly clean-ups-encouraging the whole family to do this. He wants to show us that he can take initiative and do these things without being reminded. I have no doubt he will follow through. This is why I love the ATA program. It is holistic and truly helps your child develop virtues that serve them for a life time.

He used to cry every morning going to daycare, begged not to go, and would try to barter for early pick up. Now, he is excited to go and gets upset if I pick him up early. I can't say enough positive things I definitely recommend Kicks for any child. But if your child is ADHD like my guy, I strongly recommend you check them out.
