Classes are challenging, inclusive, accepting and varied. My mental health, physical health and confidence have increased since starting regular yoga classes at Inner Fire. I highly recommend Inner Fire for a person looking for an opportunity to push themselves physically, while also finding an opportunity to practice mindfulness simultaneously. I do wish there was more opportunities for instructors to assist participants in poses rather than just determining the yoga sequence. The overall experience is one I highly recommend. The heated environment makes it more challenging and more restorative. I also love seeing yoga practitioners from different cultural and socio economic backgrounds. I see Inner Fire as working to make yoga something of value for all. They do this through their community days and other programs to recruit a more diverse clientele. My first class was far from the typical yoga class, I'm most familiar with full of white millennial and middle aged women. In addition to those standard participants, there were people of color, people new to yoga, and men of all ages. I appreciate the obvious investment Inner Fire is making to work to increase the diversity and amount of yoga practitioners in Madison. Yoga is a practice to increase physical strength, balance and flexibility, while also building upon meditative and breathing practices. An organization such as Inner Fire who works to bring yoga to many audiences is one I feel proud to support. read more

Looking for a hot yoga studio? Look no further. Inner Fire Madison's East location has an excellent team of instructors, beautiful facilities, parking, and showers. The instructors are incredible-- I haven't met an instructor whose flow I haven't loved. Everyone on the team seems to offer consistent assurance that everyone's poses will look a little different, that there's no "right" way, and that it's not a competition. Instead of "correcting", instructors will offer gentle suggestions using helpful descriptors and demos. I never leave class feeling policed or belittled the way I have at some other studios; instead, I feel encouraged, nourished, and affirmed. Each instructor I've encountered is diligent about asking for consent before offering hands-on assists (Kelly asks for folks who would prefer not to be touched to wave a hand while the class is in child's pose, which I think is genius since no one has to feel pressure or embarrassment since our faces are to the floor and we can't see who's giving her a wave). This is a big deal-- some nights I just don't want to be touched during my flow and it feels very safe knowing I'll never have to have an uncomfortable moment which could have been prevented by just asking first. I often find myself here after work, and I love that I can shower onsite and then run right off to date night, errands, or wherever without having to stop at home first to get un-sweaty. Been going regularly for about three months now. The facility is impeccable; both good sized studios and roomy, clean restrooms and showers. Never not been able to get into a class that I want, even at peak times. All the locations are convenient but this one tops the cake with heated parking in the Marling building. The staff (at all locations) are kind and eager to help. The diversity of classes is really my favorite part. On any given day you can do a flow, slow flow, traditional Bikram style or yin class. So happy that I've been able to reconnect with Inner Fire Yoga! I started going to Inner Fire Yoga 5+ years ago while I was a student at UW-Madison. I moved away and recently moved back and luckily found myself living right by Inner Fire's new East Side studio. The staff are kind and welcoming and the facilities are clean and organized. I've taken a variety of classes over the past month and think there is something for everyone. They offer a great intro deal and also offer Community Classes for discounted prices. The new east side location of Inner Fire Yoga is beautiful and has wonderful amenities! There is free, heated garage parking if you drive and there is a spacious clean locker room to shower and cool off after class. This location is also close to a few bus lines that run down East Washington. All of the instructors are wonderful (I usually go for Power 60), have great taste in music, and I always leave class feeling strong and empowered. I've taken classes at all locations of Inner Fire and the east side location is definitely my favorite, I would highly recommend checking it out! read more

It has been a great first month for me. I have mainly done the MWF am classes and enjoy the variety of instructors and class options. I did do a late Monday pm class and it was packed. The instructor made adjusts to class to make sure there was room for all of us to do our own levels of practice. That was super appreciated. Staff at desk says hello, acknowledges that you walked in, and tells you to enjoy the day when leaving. It is good to know I am a person not just a paycheck. I moved to the east side and have been coming to Inner Fire East for two months now and I cannot say enough great things. The staff is friendly and genuinely seems to care about their members, and the environment is clean and welcoming to any yogi. The rooms are hot, and classes never feel super packed like some of the downtown studios do. I am hoping they eventually add a class with weights, but loving power flow till then! Two cozy studios, a great lineup of instructors, several different class styles, and a lot of heat - what's not to love? I particularly like how welcoming the staff and instructors are. I wish there were a few more 6AM classes, but I can't complain: they offer a full schedule with a nice variety of class times, including lunchtime and late night. After moving to the east side I tried a few different studios and Inner Fire East is my favorite! There are two rooms and both are heated so you get a relaxing, hot yoga session each time. Although I live in the building and don't use the aamenities, they have clean bathrooms/showers and you can use the retail parking in the Marling garage if you'd rather park indoor and off-street instead of on E Wash. read more

The teachers are great and try to learn your name, which makes it feel small and personal. I've been to the Power 60 and Inner Fire Flow classes so far and both are awesome. Parking is easy too, which is not the case with other studios I've been to. I usually find 2 hour street parking right in front, or park in the free garage next to the building. I love Inner Fire Yoga! I went every single day during $5 week and it was my first experience with hot yoga. The 105 degree room is INCREDIBLE. I couldn't believe how relaxed I felt afterwards. A great near east side yoga studio, every class has been a delight. The wall-to-wall mirrors help me to improve my poses as well as helping me see how far I've come with a regular practice. Every instructor there teaches with passion and gives a personal flair. read more
