That's what the people that own animal house are like. When you first walk in, you're greeted by an overwhelming animal stench, and a friendly enough face. I will be honest. I groomed at animal house for about two months. The first day that I was there, the lady owner literally screamed at the dog. I've worked at other pet stores, and this one was one of the worst for knowledge about animals. Several times I found myself educating the owners of this establishment about the animals they "care for". The only reason I would personally purchase anything from animal house is for feeder mice and rats because of PetSmarts policy about not selling live feeders. I don't recommend this place.

They also run a great deal on bird cages and supplies for first time buyers that are without those essentials. A great deal you can't find in the big stores. Was pleasantly surprised with the service after reading the other reviews. Apollo is on day 2 in his new home and has been enjoying the radio playing just for him. He's still a little shy but he's started eying his toys and even perched on my finger for a small moment.

They did have various birds, reptiles, rodents, freshwater fish and even a tarantula. They also had a good stock of supplies. What they didn't have is the energy or desire to clean their tanks. I went three times and ever time they were sitting in the back. Meanwhile the tanks are green with alga and full of dead plants that they still hope to sell. There was not too many dead fish, but there was not much variety either. My first trip to the store the person who came out to help me said something about needing to clean the tanks, but over the two week period that I visited the store she never got around to it. I pointed out a large dead fish and she said "I guess they picked on him until he died." She never bothered to remove the fish. If they cannot be bothered to clean their tanks, I cannot be bothered to spend my money there.
