You find a lot of places that have one or the other (good work and crappy service or vice versa), but GetTheLookUp has it all! It's a true gem located right in North Miami. First off I want to point out that the location is super clean, cute, and secure which was soooo relieving to come to as a customer. It also pops right up on Google Maps which makes locating it super easy/efficient. They also had COVID-19 protocols in place when the virus was super prevalent. Rocky and Chalette were both super AWESOME lash techs. Super down to earth, super professional, super funny, and super efficient. They were veryyyyy PUNCTUAL. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I had an appointment they were able to start right on time, if not EARLY (as soon as I arrive). You can tell they really not only respect your time, but also care about the quality of their work. I never walked out of there feeling like I was cheated or that the work looked rushed. They play super relaxing music during services too (which helped in knocking me right out after a long day of work haha). Their work is excellent I have gotten countless compliments on my eyelashes. Their booking system is also something to commend. Super simple and easy to navigate through. Their prices were also super fair as well and they didn't make me pay a cent until the work was done, which is super rare and shows their commitment to ultimately making sure their customer is pleased. If I could pack them up and move them in closer proximity to where I actually stay I would (haha). I, 10/10 recommend this black-owned business to anyone who is contemplating getting their lashes done. Don't be reluctant, you won't regret booking with them!

I will never go to anyone else! I have recommended her to many of my girlfriends and they are as happy as I am! PS- like any well respected business owner who values not only her time but the time of her clients.. I have never had to wait (and even if I did-I would have done so gladly because 1) patience and 2) understanding) but I also know that she gets booked weeks in advance and if I had to cancel same day, I wouldn't have a problem paying the cancellation fee because I respect her, her time, and the fact that my canceled appointment could have gone to another client. She has a forever client in me and my friends!

It's a shame because Yadi (the owner) clearly knows what she's doing with eyebrows. She's…read moremeticulous, takes her time, and the salon itself is pretty and clean. Unfortunately, she's also rude and came across as unprofessional throughout my appointment. While I was there, another client was discussing pricing with her (which had nothing to do with me), and she walked RIGHT next to me and said, "I really don't know why you guys don't check prices," referring to clients in general. It immediately made the vibe feel uncomfortable. I was originally with Chantel, who was great, and Yari stepped in to help. She did a great job on my brows, but when she found out it was my first brow lamination, the first thing she asked me (very rudely) was, "And you're aware of the price, right?" I had never discussed pricing with her, had every intention of paying (and tipping), and there was no reason to assume otherwise. She also looked at my eyebrows and asked, "Why are your eyebrows so different?" They've always been naturally different, and the way she asked it came across as unnecessary and embarrassing rather than helpful. The quality of the work was good, but customer service matters too. A little more tact and professionalism would go a long way, especially coming from the owner. Unfortunately, because of that experience, I wouldn't return.

Before I could even properly finish giving the number, the lady interrupted me and simply said she couldn't make the appointment because she was busy. I completely understand, but she said she would call me back, and never did. After I called a few times, they never picked up the phone. The experience got even worse from there. It's incredible difficult to get in touch with anyone since they never picked up the phone. The schedule displayed online and on the sign appears to be completely unreliable. I even went there in person at 4:00pm on a Tuesday, when the sign clearly indicated they were open-- only to find the place closed. Honestly, I have rarely experienced such poor communication and such an unwelcoming attitude from the lady. Being busy is acceptable, but abruptly cutting someone off and refusing to help, even after providing the requested US phone number, is extremely frustrating. If you enjoy chasing businesses that don't answer calls, don't follow up, and may or may not be open when they say they are, this is the place for you. Otherwise, save yourself the frustration.
