I booked Karissa super last minute for a wedding for my makeup as a bridesmaid and she was just all around great to work with. She is very prompt when replying back and was very flexible when I wanted to book her even for an early 7:30AM slot on a FRIDAY! She even played her playlist to get started to set a good vibe for our early session. Karissa started off by asking what type of skin I have and if I have more oily/dry areas than others. I loved that she did this cos she used the best products to suit my skin type. At first I didn't really know what kind of make up style I wanted so I trusted her judgement to do her thing. When she was done I was so happy with her work! I'll have to say that she is the eyebrow queen!! She super primed my face and the makeup lasted all night long (I had a 12hr day y'all). All other bridesmaids did their own makeup and I'll just say that mine was literally the best out of all of them thanks to Karissa! Book her now y'all!!! read more

Made Up LA - Make up by Karissa - me on the right! - Makeup Artists Near Me - Rancho Cucamonga, California

I am a returning customer of Karissa. From the beginning she has always been friendly and responsive. The first time she did my make up she wasn't able to visit my home so I went to her home. At her home she has a room dedicated for make up. The second time she was able to come to my home and she did my make up for my baby shower. Both times I was really happy with my make up. The make up lasted the entire event and I got many compliments from both events on my make up. She listened to my requests of what I wanted for both events and she provided eyelashes which is a bonus. I am very happy with her service and will use her again for my next event. read more

Karissa is just wonderful at what she does, which is use ones face as her canvas and create art. Karissa isn't just a makeup artist, she is a true artist. Karissa was the makeup artist for the bridal party I was a part of and she did an amazing job! I wanted a very natural yet glow/bronze look, and I got just that. My makeup stayed throughout the entire day/night. It was a very warm day and never at one point did I need to do any type of touch up, asides from re-applying lipstick. If you're looking for a true, talented, and experienced makeup artist, look no further. read more

I found Karissa through yelp and saw all great reviews and we got to chat a little and I liked the communication we had. I booked her so she can do makeup for my wedding. Started to go down hill, when we were trying to set a makeup trial. I told her I work nights so I typically don't wake up till later in the afternoon, and she advised me that her studio was under construction and I offered my house so she can work on me. I'm not very far from Rancho, I live in Corona so when I suggested a time and place, she told me she didn't want to wait in that traffic even though I was paying for her To do my makeup. It's SoCal, there's traffic everywhere! It took her Two wks til she got back to me saying she rented a spot out at a studio so I drove to her. Makeup was nice. On the original contract it shows $60 and she was charging me $75 because she gave me the wrong contract even though I had already signed the 1st one. So I was upset about that. Lastly, when I booked the rms for the hotel so me and the girls could get ready for my wedding, I txtd Karissa the info and never got a response. I txtd her two wks later asking if she ever got my original msg-NO response! I eventually let her go and hired another make up artist. Karissa needs to be more in touch and have better communication skills with her clients. read more

I loved how my makeup came out that Karissa did for my birthday event. I wasn't sure what I wanted and she knew exactly what to do. I've gotten my make up done before and sometimes I end up looking way too over done. She did a great job! read more

KARISSA is an amazing artist. She is doing my wedding party makeup, additional family members, and my own. A great price and has been very accommodating with my trail run. My trial run went by fast but my makeup last all day!!! I have very oily, texture, and uneven skin tones so I was very pleased that my makeup stayed and had minimal to no touch ups!! The lashes Karissa gave me are by far my favorite lashes I've ever had and I received compliments the whole day. I am incredibly happy with just my trial run I can not wait for my wedding day makeup!!!! read more

AAAAA++++++ on service, makeup artistry, and finished look! I am very picky about who does my makeup, having had my make up done many times by Oprah's make up (yes, THE Oprah!). SO I have very high expectations for make up services. I am so pleased to write that Karissa exceeded my expectations! My look was classy, elegant, beautiful, and lasted throughout the whole evening of my party. It was perfect, and definitely turned out better than I hoped. Plus, Karissa was so easy to talk to and wonderful. I was relaxed and in a good mood when she was doing my make up. She is definitely the person to see when you need your make up done. I found Karissa on a last minute whim to get my make up done for a wedding. Having recently moved back to the area I didn't have my go to people locally. Thankfully she was available on short notice. She was sweet, professional, and good at her craft. When she came over, my house was chaos with my little toddler running around. She was flexible with him and was able to not be distracted. I asked her to keep my make up light and natural, and to keep me looking like me. It was perfection. Will definitely be calling her back. read more

For my first baby shower, I knew I wanted to hire a MUA. I went thru several profiles but when I came across Karissa's page, I was curious to see her work come to life. From the first moment of contact, she was pleasant to speak to and seemed like a total professional. I probably bugged her about 10 times with all kinds of questions and suggestions, yet she was very friendly and responded quite rapidly even during the middle of an outing of hers. She was punctual, and I mean right on the dot, and very approachable. During the entire session, I was very comfortable with her and as she played a playlist of hers in the background, I must admit it was pretty cool and created an atmosphere that made me feel as if I knew Karissa for the longest time! I would definitely recommend Karissa! She is talented, with an awesome personality. She was very patient with me because quite frankly, I'm a very picky person but she knew how to deal with me lol! As she was wrapping it up, my little nephew, Max knocked over some of her brushes but she was so sweet to have kept her cool! Thanks, Karissa! Your work was awesome! I received so many compliments and I know you were good because I didn't feel uncomfortable at all! You were fun to work with! Hope to work with you soon! read more
