JoAnn saved my life for my engagement shoot in so many ways. I am not from the area but was getting engagement photos done in Riverside at the Mission Inn. Not having my typical go to salons I ventured out to find stylists- one to do both makeup and hair (which seems harder than I thought it would be?) I had originally booked another artists for both who canceled on me 2 days before my day and I was in a horrible panic- that's when I found JoAnn. JoAnn was a godsend- timely, organized, and so professional. She was very direct on asking what I wanted and giving a quote immediately. I signed the contract, paid for the service, and she scheduled an appointment through FT to go over looks/ expectations in more details. Speaking to her you can tell she knows what she's been doing, has been doing it for 20+ years, and is attentive to details. I was so excited to work with her. She is the type A, organized and reliable person I thought she would be from this first interaction. On the day of she did a fantastic job. My hair and makeup looked gorgeous. She always checked in and made sure I was okay or if I thought something needed to change. She really took her time to make sure we were happy with the results. As far as the vibe. First off the salon is adorable, just you and her in a clean, private space- allows for a calm getting ready experience. She is so personable and sweet- we gabbed the whole time. A unique thing about JoAnn that I don't see in many stylists is her organizations (sending directions/ address the day before, with a pre meeting) and how she cares for her clients. She told me about my venue (Mission In) which is 2 minutes away from her- made sure I was aware of parking so I don't get a ticket and just gave me general day of and wedding day advice. I also had a tan malfunction and she was so sweet to fix it through airbrushing. I cannot recommend Jo Ann enough. I was hesitant to book make up and hair for my daughter's quinceañera considering the COVID precautions we need to be taking. Jo Ann had a very clean studio. Omg where do I even begin??!!! I love Jo Ann!!!!! She's amazing at what she does and she's such an approachable person!
