Sarah Mae was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. I first met her when I was a bridesmaid at one of my best friend's weddings, and I instantly fell in love with her work. I knew right then that I had to hire her for my own wedding. When I got engaged, she was the very first vendor I reached out to - I knew I had to lock her in ASAP! She is professional, kind, and so much fun to be around. She truly helped me craft my vision, and on my wedding day I felt like it was the most beautiful I had ever looked. My makeup lasted all night with only minor touch-ups, which is every bride's dream. At my preview appointment, she took so much time to really understand what I wanted. She even made the experience extra special by asking what music I'd like to listen to and creating such a fun, relaxed vibe. On the wedding day, she went above and beyond, even capturing two incredible videos of the process that I now get to cherish with my friends and family. Not only did she do my makeup, but she also did the makeup for several of my bridesmaids and family members (including my mom) and they all absolutely raved about how stunning they felt. Everyone looked flawless, and the looks lasted beautifully throughout the night. She also recommended my hairstylist - Tiffany Doherty (@scissors_n_spice), who was equally amazing, and together they made me feel so confident and beautiful. Truly, she is the best makeup artist I've ever worked with. I would hire her again in a heartbeat for any makeup styling needs!
Sarah did an amazing job on my wedding day makeup! First of all, I'm a huge cryer and using the emergency kit she gave me, her great tips, and her fabulous makeup tricks, I did not have amy issues with my makeup running that day. She talked to me a lot beforehand to get an idea of the look that I was going for and I was really taken back by how beautiful it all came out. Even my mom, who is not used to too much makeup and has never had her makeup done professionally, really loved the way her makeup came out! Sarah is really talented in what she does and the fact that it lasted through my crazy emotional day really made me feel the most beautiful I have ever felt. I highly recommend!

As someone who rarely applied makeup, she patiently listened to my requests and adjusted my makeup from trial to wedding day effortlessly, and at the same time gave honest, thoughtful feedback on what works and what wouldn't work. Her vast experience doing bridal makeup has made me feel so reassured and beautiful on my wedding day. She expertly highlighted my features without the overall makeup being overdone. My makeup lasted for over 8 hours and photographed well. On my wedding day, she was extremely efficient and got us ready on time, adhering to her timeline. Sarah will take care of you, and all you would need to worry about is celebrating your day and creating memories with your girls :)
On a normal basis, I hardly wear any makeup and I was nervous since I haven't done any professional makeup since prom! Sarah eased all of my fears and was amazing and so patient during my two bridal trials! My advice is to definitely go alone since my mom (I love her) came to the first and it was what she wanted, but my second was what I wanted and i absolutely loved it! It was an absolute joy to work with Sarah and my bridesmaids loved her too! My bridal makeup and my bridesmaids' makeup looked absolutely amazing! I was repeatedly told I looked like an angel and/or a princess or even both! My groom couldn't take his eyes off me and told me how beautiful I looked the whole ceremony, and I have never felt more beautiful in my whole life. Thank you so much Sarah, and thank you for reminding me to eat while doing hair and makeup because I didn't have time later! She really is the best! Would highly recommend.

I am so glad I chose Sarah as my makeup artist for my wedding. Not only is she the sweetest person but if you keep having technical difficulties with your music while getting ready, she'll sing to you. Lol Sarah is a rock solid makeup artist, she listens to what you want and even if you don't know what you want she'll recommend certain colors or products. Not only did my makeup come out amazing but so did my moms and my bridesmaids. Everyone looked AMAZING. Wedding days are usually pretty emotional but unfortunately mine was probably 10x more emotional because my dad passed away 2 weeks before my wedding so at times I was a mess. Not only did my makeup withhold all of the happy and sad tears but also all the heat and sweat. (Since my wedding day was during a heat wave) There is no doubt I chose the right MUA for my big day.
Where is the option for 7 stars? Sarah Mae is not only incredibly talented but she is the answer behind the statement of "get yourself a MUA that makes you beautiful and feels like a member of your family". From my trial to my big day, Sarah instantly won me over. She is so professional, on time, positive, and works well under pressure aka LOTS of family members were around on my morning of ('nuff said). I cannot thank her enough for her beautiful work that probably would have lasted until the following week had I not taken it off after our reception. I felt beautiful and I felt comfortable. Nothing she did was overdone and I do not say that frequently about my relationship with makeup!
Cannot recommend Sarah Mae enough! My wedding was almost a year ago now (10.28.22) and I still randomly think about not only how beautiful Sarah made me look - which, she did - but also how supportive and amazing she was for me on my wedding day! I had a high stress situation going on, a lot of bridesmaid drama, and she had no idea what she was walking into the day of. I was so stressed and on the brink of crying and Sarah helped keep me so calm... played music to keep me sane, chatted with me.... Like, I honestly don't know if I could've functioned so well the rest of the day if she hadn't helped me feel so relaxed at such an intense time. All that aside, my face looked beautiful. She is such a skilled makeup artist and I'm so incredibly glad she was there at my wedding to make me feel so special. This review is long overdue but I mean it with all my heart! I contacted Sarah very last minute for a family photo shoot n she was very sweet to accommodate my request! I saw her work on insta n picked a few looks and she did the rest of the magic. The makeup lasted long n It was the BEST decision n highlight of our photo shoot. She was so professional n organized, I highly recommend her for any occasion. I initially met Sarah through my best friends wedding last summer 2022. She did makeup for the bride and 5 bridesmaids. She was in time and very thorough. She already had asked what the bride wanted us to go for - soft glam- but customized it for the comfort level of each bridesmaid. Every single one of us loved our makeup and looked so amazing. I then booked her for a makeup lesson in March 2023. She came to my apartment and did half my face while coaching me on the other half. (I live in LA check her traveling policies - she was so amazing about the drive but just to be on the same page). My makeup came out so amazing and I used what I learned in a wedding this summer 2023. SOOO worth it. I haven't had a makeup artist I've trusted since! BOOK HER!
I cannot recommend Sarah enough. I am Asian American and I find it difficult to find someone who can do your makeup right, especially since I have hooded eyes but that did not matter because Sarah is a freakin artist. She knew how to adjust the makeup to beautifully enhance my features. On top of that, she adjusts your makeup by anticipating how it will look on camera and as well as the longevity (makeup literally lasted ALL day, and I cried A LOT lol). She also gives you lots of beauty advice on how to better ur skin before your big day and as well as going forward with improving ur skin in the long run. She even coordinated with my hair stylist and made a schedule so things will run smoothly on my wedding day. She was super professional, patient, kind, and lots of fun to work with. I look forward to being glammed up by her again :)
Sarah is so kind, professional, and really knows her stuff! She is also always on time, quick to respond, plus is very sanitary with her products which is important! If you want someone who cares, listens to your requests/concerns, and is the ultimate hype woman on your big day, then look no further! Sarah is your gal! We did a trial on my engagement photo day, and although it was beautiful, I still wanted some tweaks for my wedding day makeup and Sarah knew how to pivot and achieve the makeup look that I wanted on my big day. She also did my mom's makeup as well as a couple of my bridesmaids which turned out stunning! Highly recommend!

Look no further, Sarah is your girl! I've never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day. I would say I'm a more particular bride and Sarah graciously implemented all of my somewhat nit picky feedback. We made slight adjustments after the trial and truly, I'll be trying to unsuccessfully recreate that makeup look the rest of my life. If I could give Sarah a 100 stars I would! From booking isn't her, to my make up trial, to the wedding day, every interaction with Sarah was amazing. She brought great energy to the wedding day and helped make me and all my girls feel super comfortable. She helped create the wedding look of my dreams and it lasted all night even through sweating on the dance floor. I would look to see if my makeup need touches throughout the night and every time I looked in the mirror I looked just like I did when she first put on my make up and I couldn't believe it, I'm so happy I chose Sarah to do my make up for my wedding day and I would 100% use your services again for whenever I want to treat myself and feel beautiful! I am a little late at writing a review for this AMAZING woman! I found Sarah on Instagram while looking through tons of local wedding vendors. Her name consistently came up and the brides wearing her makeup were absolutely STUNNING! She has a wide range of makeup looks yet it always looks so elegant and classy, no matter what style you are going for. One of the things I wanted to be perfect for my wedding was my makeup because I knew after the big party the only thing I would have to remember our wedding by would be our memories and photos, and boy do I love my makeup in all of our photos! Sarah is very professional, courteous and organized. Most importantly she is kind and so so sweet. She genuinely cares about each and every one of her clients and goes above and beyond to make you feel beautiful and happy. She is one of those girls that you automatically wish was one of your close friends because she is just so easy to get along with! I did the bride trial run which I definitely recommend. I happened to use the makeup done that day for boudoir photos which looked so sultry and pretty! We were able to tweak a couple things for the actual wedding day. On the day of the wedding Sarah was prompt and did mine and a couple of my bridesmaids makeup. They all turned out so gorgeous. My makeup literally was perfect all day long even though it was super hot during our ceremony. I never had to even touch it up. For the first time in my life, my makeup stayed perfectly matte and poreless. I was very very picky when it came to who I chose as our wedding vendors as I didn't want my money to go to waste. I am so so happy I found Sarah and will be going to her for any future makeup needs. Please support this small business makeup artist! Sarah did my makeup for my wedding day. I, my bridesmaids, my mom, and mother-in-law looked flawless! Our makeup lasted the entire day and all my girls felt beautiful! She is one of the best makeup artist in the area, has a bubbly personality, and will make every one feel beautiful whether they are the bride, a bridesmaid, a mother, or a guest. Boy am I so thankful that Sarah was highly recommended by our venue. I have had the most amazing experience planning with her. She is so sweet and over the top talented!! It was such a pleasure getting to meet her for my trials. It was so much fun sitting in her chair and chatting like old friends. I booked her for myself, 5 bridesmaids and my mother in law. Makeup lasted ALL night and everyone loved their makeup. My bridesmaids took so many selfies I was a tiny bit worried about my mother in law since she really never wears makeup and OMG she looked amazing!!! I hired Sarah for my wedding and she was amazing to work with. She was a complete professional who made me and my bridal party feel relaxed and beautiful for the big day. Throughout the entire process, Sarah was communicative, professional, and never made me feel silly about my lack of makeup knowledge. She also helped create our morning timeline and collaborated with our other vendors to ensure everything ran smoothly. I was a bridesmaid in July 2022 and the bride booked Sarah to do all of our makeup. 5 ladies and the bride for a 5pm ceremony. She was there SO promptly for me to go at 0700am. I was the first bridesmaid up and she did exactly what the bride wanted, while able to keep my preference in mind. I don't wear makeup usually and I LOVED her look! Will def book her again. read more

I am SO happy I found Sarah Mae to glam me up for my Dental Hygiene Graduation! She is so sweet and welcomed me with open arms. During my graduation it started raining however my makeup stayed on all day and even after a crazy night. She did an absolute amazing job! I have been looking for any excuse to have Sarah do my makeup and with my 10 year wedding anniversary coming up I finally had my excuse! I couldn't be happier with how my makeup turned out! And it not only lasted all day but all night! And even after taking my makeup off the following day (yes, I accidentally fell asleep with my makeup on ) my lashes were still very secure so I kept my lashes on the whole day after too! My name is Hanna Sarah Mae was my makeup artist for my wedding this June. She was absolutely wonderful having her do my makeup for the day of was such a pleasure she has such a beautiful personality and made the morning go by so easily. It helped me so much that she was so organized and punctual. Sarah did my makeup for my engagement, bridal trial, and entire wedding party! From my 12 year old daughter to my 70 year old mom she nailed every look! Everyone looked absolutely stunning in their own special gorgeous way. And the wedding morning was so peaceful and fun. She scheduled everything out for me so there was no rushing no stress. Just joy! Sarah brings a light and an energy into your day that is so needed and her makeup is flawless. I'm a firm believer of good vibes. On my wedding day, i want everyone that's involved in the wedding to have the best vibes. Planning a wedding is stressful enough so i just want to be surrounded with great energy. My first MUA cancelled on me because she decided to take bigger job. So i went to Instagram and looked for another MUA. I saw a bunch of MUA with beautiful makeup but i thought to myself, i need a sign. I need someone with great vibes. I found Sarah's profile and right there on her profile she said positive vibes.. that's all I need...called her right away and interesting enough she was available for my date (which is a popular date) so I booked her right away! Sarah was amazing! Having a wedding in the midst of COVID, you want to feel safe. From the trial, I noticed Sarah always sanitize everything, she did this through out the makeup application. Not only our makeup looked beautiful, it lasted all night, she sanitized and wore a mask PLUS her energy is so great!! I love Sarah! Our original wedding was supposed to be a destination wedding but because of fires it was cancelled two days beforehand. I was so stressed and had lost my hair and makeup people. My friend recommended Sarah for me and reached out to her. Not only was she able to fit me in last minute, she was amazing! I got so many compliments on my make and felt so beautiful. I found Sarah on wedding wire, and thank god I was able to book her for my upcoming wedding. Not only is she professional, she also makes you feel like you've known her for years. We did a bridal trial/engagement photo shoot, I showed her the inspiration I was going for and she gave me exactly what I wanted! After 8 hours my make up stayed flawless. I highly recommend her for any event you may have coming up. She's truly a gem, and a pleasure to work with. read more

This review is long overdue (Sorry, Sarah!) but I have to rave about how amazing Sarah is. Sarah has a calm and kind demeanor and made me feel so comfortable from the time we initiated a makeup trial all the way to our wedding day. I love her makeup style and she made all of the women in our wedding party look amazing. My wedding makeup lasted all night through tears, dancing, and kissing my now husband! I'm so grateful to have found her and I am confident that whoever books Sarah as their makeup artist will be more than happy with her services! read more

Sarah is amazing! She is amazing at what she does (see the photos, it speaks for itself) and on top of that she is an amazing person. She so polite, sweet, laid back, considerate and very very sanitary. She takes pride in what she does and it shows! My make up lasted from 2 when we were finished, through photos for getting ready, and didn't budge when on my way to my ceremony we had a minor car accident and I bumped my head and had a melt down and my make up was still perfect through my ceremony. My make up was perfect until two am when I came home and the only thing that was affected is my lipstick that I didn't reapply which is a shame since she made me an amazing custom color. I would recommend her and her service to anyone! read more
