Scott has been nothing less than amazing since the day I connected with him (end of 2019). I was 24 years old at the time with no clear direction of where to start or what I wanted. The only thing I really knew was that purchasing a home was a goal I wanted to work towards. He was extremely patient with me (I had 0 background or knowledge of purchasing a home). He sat me down and walked me through the entire process and broke down every step of what I needed to do in order to get within realistic range of purchasing a home (down payment, salary, pros and cons of each area, interest rates, monthly Morgage payments, home insurance, etc). It took me about 2.5 years before I was ready to seriously search for a potential future home. Scott and his team created a catered search for any homes that met my requirements and it was sent almost daily via email. Never rushed me, took times to show me other potential homes in other area around the Bay Area whenever we had toured a place. Broke down to me what he noticed (pros and cons of each place) and how to navigate it into other prospects. Built a relationship with both my parents (he also speaks fluent Vietnamese) and they absolutely adore him. I never had such amazing customer service/experience in my life - it felt like a friendship more than a transaction. He really listened and adjusted to each modification and any ridiculous question or request was always answered within timely manner. Each time an obstacle came my way Scott and his team always came armed with multiple potential backups, scenarios, tips, or game plans to tackle it. As someone who has no prior experience and suffers from crippling anxiety- my many many MANY concerns were always addressed in a timely manner. My thousands of questions were always answered, and no matter how discouraged I got they always found a path to get me on the right track again. No amount of words can express my gratitude and happiness this amazing group has done for me. Thank you so much for all your help and I know exactly who to reach out to for any future home purchases :) Scott and his team has my highest recommendation read more

First time looking to purchase a home I had a ton of questions and reservations about things. Scott was there every step of the way to make sure things went smoothly and that I felt confident and comfortable with everything. He did a great job explaining things to look for that would retain or build value over time, as well as provide guidance on how to best maximize my budget. He actually did a lot to explain how rates work and what to look out for, even more so than my mortgage team was able to do. The overall process was smooth and fast and I am really glad to have worked with Scott on this big decision. Scott is super knowledgeable of the current industry and I will absolutely work with him again if we look for a new place in the future. read more

My husband and I were looking to relocate and wanted to look at new builds for our first home. We contacted Scott on a Friday and he agreed to meet up with us the next day to look at different communities. We ended up placing our deposit the next Monday. As first time homebuyers, we were lucky to have Scott there to guide us through the process and ask the sales associates questions we wouldn't have thought of. Our house had a delivery date of January 2022 (but of course, that date is never guaranteed). The preferred lender for the builder was pushing us to lock in a rate since the interest rate was rising. We didn't like the rate they quoted us (even with the seller and lender credits). We asked Scott for his advice and he was very transparent and answered all of our questions. He didn't push us to go with his company, but did let us know that there were other options with better rates. When we made the decision to change lenders, we submitted an application to Made Mortgage and Scott and his team did the rest. Although the interest rates were rising, they were able to get us an amazing rate (even without the seller and lender credits). He and his team took over communications with escrow and the builder. They made sure we were on track with submitting everything and we were approved on time before the estimated closing date. We highly recommend Scott and Made Mortgage. read more

We highly recommend Scott at Made Mortgage; we got a great rate and CLOSED IN JUST 21 DAYS, even through the Christmas and New Year's holidays! We worked with Scott in purchasing our first house ever in January 2022. He is honest and principled, two things that were especially important to us as first-time homebuyers. We never felt pressured or rushed. Scott is very knowledgeable in both mortgage and real estate transaction processes. He was able to effectively distill and communicate complex information, even for first-time homebuyers like us. He replied promptly and made himself available for us whenever we had any questions or had an upcoming offer to make. As a mortgage broker, Scott was able to shop around for the best rates for us and even used his network to get extra credit for us. He presented us with several mortgage options, patiently running numbers with us for the options we were considering. We were well-equipped to select the rate and points/credit combo that best worked for our needs. He kept us well-informed from our first point of contact, through the search, and during escrow. He uses a handy online tracking tool where we could check the status of our loan application. The online experience with Made Mortgage was straightforward and organized. The instructions were clear and we were able to upload documents easily in the portal which is key in what can otherwise be a tedious and cumbersome process. This definitely ensured that we were able to close in time! Thank you, Scott! read more

My experience with Scott at Made Mortgage has been nothing but spectacular. Unlike other companies that I've dealt with, Scott was always responsive and made commitments that were met and many times exceeded. I was able to win a bid on an Oakland home because Scott was able to assure an expedient closing, putting me above the other competing offers. I was able to close and was very satisfied with the outcome. Being candid with Scott up front made the whole process go smoothly and quickly. At the outset, Scott was able to assist in what strategy was needed in order to obtain the home that my family wanted and how we would obtain our goal. Because I didn't have to deal with any major problems with the financing aspect handled by Made Mortgage, I was able to focus on other issues that did come up. I would easily recommend the team at Made Mortgage to all of my friends and family looking to buy a home in today's market. It could very well be the competitive advantage that no other company can provide. Thanks Scott! read more

Looking for the best mortgage team in town? LOOK NO FURTHER!! Scott and his team are the BEST of the best. I started working with him two years ago on the real estate side and have never referred my clients anywhere else. You won't find another guy who cares more about the wellbeing of his clients. I've seen Scott refer people out when he can't get them the best price (which is rare). If you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to reach out to him. He can do free, no obligation consultations which are purely educational. I've never met another lender that does this! Ten stars!! Madeleine read more

Scott explains the loan process in a way that's very easy to understand and he genuinely cares about his clients. Scott empowered me with a lot of knowledge to make my own decisions at the end but also was available for questions and overall support. Thank you Scott and team!! read more

Scott and Jessica are the best! Especially if you're a first generation home owner, I can't recommend Scott enough. He absolutely cares about relationships and helping folks achieve their goals more than getting a sale. Scott really got to know my partner and I and helped us define what was actually feasible/realistic with our budget, what was important to each of us, and how we could make the dream of home ownership in the bay area a reality. More than that, we never felt pressured at all. Scott made it very clear that it was okay to walk away from the process if we realized it wasn't the right time or if we didn't put in an offer at any of the properties we saw. We chose to work with Scott after meeting quite a few different agents at open houses or online who, while extremely nice, assumed we knew more than we did, or pushed the urgency of an impending offer, or told us about a ton of other properties before actually getting to know us and what was important to us. While I realize this approach might be useful with experienced home buyers, Scott was able to recognize where we were in our journey and lead with curiosity, empathy, and optimism, which is what made him the best agent for us! read more

Scott helped my husband and I buy our house in SGV a few years ago. He's very knowledgeable and quick to respond to all our questions, and as first time home buyers we had tons of questions! When we suddenly needed to move out of state and made the decision to sell our home instead of renting it, we of course reached out to Scott again. He is a great realtor and very personable! read more

Okay 10/10 would recommend. My husband and I were initially working with another agent (we didn't know Scott yet). This agent had taken a 2-3 week vacay abroad and left us in the hands of his colleague. We liked her at first, but soon realized that she was alllll overrrr the placeee. All over the place, in that she screwed up our bid (Mis-calculated the $$$), which my husband and I caught ourselves prior to signing, thankfully. She was also just really not for a first time buyer, or a second or third... overall quite squirrelly. Anyways... we were referred to Scott through a neighbor I had grown up with. From day 1, Scott has been a breeze to work with. He is knowledgeable, professional, and tactful in working with the other end (seller's agent). He advocated for us as buyers and was able to make the process of buying a house easy. Yes, it's overwhelming, and yes we did ask the same questions multiple times, but Scott met us each time with patience and a plan. He always had a plan. We closed today, and this is our first house. I'm so happy we stuck with Scott; and I'm happy he stuck with us!! We'd highly recommend working with him! read more

Scott is excellent! My wife and I worked with him when purchasing our first home he was such a pleasure to work with. Given that this experience and life milestone was completely new to us, Scott guided us and provided knowledgeable advice through it all. Never once did we feel like we were bombarding him with questions. He not only guided us through the entire loan origination and home buying process, but he provided us with some great advice as well. He surely knows his stuff with regards to real estate and life in general and has some interesting stories to tell. We greatly appreciate you Scott! Keep up the awesome work! read more

Highly recommend to go with Made Mortgage! I got referral from my good friend who recently refinanced with a help of Scott. Scott was both our mortgage broker and real estate agent in our first home buying process, and we are so glad we chose to work with him and his amazing team! If you're looking for a one stop shop - look no further. It was incredibly convenient to work with Scott and his team for the full service as it streamline the process and cut down significantly on all the back and forth typically associated with home buying. The home buying process can be overwhelming and scary, especially when you're in a competitive market like the bay area, and we were therefore really appreciative of how knowledgeable and patient Scott was as he walked us through each step of the process. He was always easily reachable, and always took into consideration our goals and needs. Scott toured multiple homes with us, often on short notice, and raised awareness on elements we missed or were unaware of (both pros and cons). From multiple viewings on weekends to communicating all hours of the day, Scott and his team were professional and timely. As we went through our loan process, interest rates were fluctuating, and Scott proactively kept an eye on the trends to let us know how things were falling each day. We highly recommend Scott, and we would definitely work with him again in the future. read more

Not our first home purchase so we were able to compare our previous mortgage loan experience to this one. Scott was so personal during the intro call and I felt he always has our best interest in mind. He even called around to his colleagues making sure we would be getting the lowest interest rate even if it means he would lose our business. We are so glad we chose made mortgage because Scott, Lawrence, and team are exceptional. Home buying in California is super stressful especially for us out of staters. The team made sure we were supported every step of the way AND helped solution our road blocks. If you want a personable, responsive, reliable, honest, and professional team, this is it. Scott worked with us for months and months to find the right home in Alameda. He is very responsive and really tried to understand our wants and needs (even if we didn't know what we really wanted). He helped guide us through the process of buying our first home, even in the midst of COVID-19. Scott is familiar with the process of renovations (he's redoing his own home) and was able to tell us and show us differences in pipes, wiring, walls, drains, etc., etc. He went totally above and beyond, and we would have been completely lost without his advice.
