It has calming lighting that makes it easy to settle in, whether it's your first class or you've been doing Pilates for a while. Even on my first vist, I didn't feel intimidated walking through the doors, which I really appreciate. The instructors are what keep me coming back. For the complimentary session, we had Angela. Weekly, my schedule would line up to when Season would teach! They are both so attentive throughout class and always takes the time to correct my form or offer modifications when needed. I never feel called out and they took the time to get to know my husband and I! They genuinely seem to want everyne to get the most out of the workout and move safely. Every class leaves me feeling stronger, more balanced, and somehow in a better mood than when I walked in. It's challenging in all the right ways, but the environment is so encouraging that I actually look forward to coming back. If you're looking for a Pilates studio with knowledgeable instructors, a welcoming community, and space that is aesthetically pretty that feels just as good as the workout, I'd definitely recommend giving this studio a try!

I visited MVMT Studios in Alhambra once using the free trial, and I have mixed feelings about this…read morepilates studio. I do admit it was my very first pilates class, so I had zero knowledge of how to use machines properly or any pilates etiquette or lingo. I think there is a slight learning curve. I later learned the class I took was a reformer class due to the reformer machine we used. My friend told me about this studio, so I signed up for a free trial on their website. The date I wanted was not available yet, so I closed the web page. I was able to text them to see when the class schedule would be available. When the time came, I tried to book the date on the website, but I was unable to log in. I don't recall ever making a password, so it was frustrating not being able to schedule a class. I ended up texting the same number to see if I could book the free trial class, and they confirmed nine hours later. I see that other people also had issues with their website and sign up system. Leading up to the class, I was really nervous because it was my first experience with pilates and I heard it's hard. When I checked in with my friend, we were berated for not coming 15 minutes early. I was told to my face, "it's your fault" for arriving late, so they weren't able to go through the introductions as they normally would for first-timers. I was shocked to not be welcomed, and I tried to shake it off thinking maybe he meant it as a joke. Unfortunately, this made me even more anxious for the rest of the class. The text message said this class was beginner friendly, but I think the instructor could have explained things better. I was constantly looking at the girl next to me because I wasn't sure what placements and positions were correct. Maybe they meant beginner as in the difficulty level. Another thing I was confused with - I thought the instructor I had was the owner Angela, but I later learned she wasn't. I think it would have been nice if the instructor introduced herself to me, a new student, and asked me how the class went. Instead, I was handed a towel and spray bottle after class. I later learned the etiquette is to wipe down after use. I think what I should have done was to research a studio that offers intro classes for brand new pilates students. This wasn't it. After class the guy told us he messaged us with a limited offer for future classes. I felt pressured to make a quick decision, but I hadn't even had time to check my phone. I quickly checked the message and email, and they were both really long with a lot of information. I did reach out to the business with my concerns as a first-timer, and they responded very professionally. It seems like they are a new business, and I do think there's room for improvement for making first impressions. I can't say I loved my first pilates class, so I can't see myself continuing doing pilates. In regard to their pricing, they offer two options for purchasing classes: membership or class packages. They're offering "Founding Member" unlimited classes for $259/month, and they are only 50 founding memberships. For the more convenient class package option, one class is $39, or you can get as many as 20 classes in 6 months for $500. There is a lot more details, so it's better to read the policies on their website.

I'm definitely feeling it today (in the best way ), so be prepared to be sore afterward. The class was 45 minutes long, and honestly, it flew by. The energy stayed high the entire time, and the trainer kept everyone motivated and engaged. I had a lot of fun and would absolutely come back for another class in the future. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun, challenging workout with great instructors!

The pilates studio shares space with a boutique of beauty services, including lashes and nails. When they check you in for your pilates class, they take you to a room with cubbies first to lock away your belongings. The room includes water bottles, nice mirrors, coffee and dry shampoo for upkeep after the class. The pilates classes themselves are challenging but fun. The instructor that I had, Victoria, really worked us for our money's worth! They first ask if this is your first class. If this is your first class, they can help you set up and they will answer any questions you have. The reformers are close to one another but they placed them in alternating rows, so there is plenty of room for mat work. The rooms are smaller (only 7-8 reformer machines) so you get personalized attention. It really does feel like a place to feel beautiful, confident, and at home! Parking is easy since they have a designated parking lot. I would double check their Yelp and Google times because it reported that they were closed on Tuesday, but my class was on Tuesday!

I initially had a positive experience here and was excited to return with my pregnant daughter. I…read morehad even mentioned during my first visit how much I was looking forward to bringing her. Unfortunately, our experience this time was disappointing. The instructor asked what trimester my daughter was in, but then didn't offer her pregnancy-safe modifications during the class, including during crunches and other core exercises. Asking about her pregnancy gave us the impression that her needs would be considered, but there was no follow-through. The studio is beautiful and the workout itself was good, which made this even more disappointing. If pregnant clients are welcomed, instructors should be prepared to provide clear and safe modifications throughout the class. I genuinely hope the studio takes this feedback seriously.

I found them through ClassPass and noticed on their website that first-time clients are required to take the Luxe Fundamentals class, which I appreciated since it helped me get familiar with the studio and teaching style. They have eight custom Balanced Body reformers that felt incredibly comfortable to use. The reformers are slightly longer than standard ones, which was my personal preference. I'm sure others would like this as well! The layout is thoughtfully designed and never felt crowded, even during class. I also caught a glimpse of one of their private rooms, which looked lovely. I took Luxe Fundamentals with Myra, and she was fantastic. She incorporated a 10-pound Pilates circle into the workout, making it a surprisingly challenging full-body class while still offering modifications for those with back pain or other limitations. What stood out most was how she took the time to learn everyone's names, which made the experience feel personal and welcoming. The music was upbeat without being distracting, and Myra's instructions were easy to hear throughout class. There's a small bench near the entrance for personal belongings, though I would have appreciated a bit more space for bags and other items. One thing to keep in mind is parking. The lot is fairly small, so I would definitely recommend arriving early to secure a spot and settle in before class. Overall, I had a great first experience and can see why people love this studio. It never feels intimidating and the instructors/ staff make the space feel really approachable. The space is super clean and spacious. There are plenty of lockers in a variety of sizes- if you're someone who leaves the house with a million things- fear not. I couldn't help but notice how thoughtful the layout is too. From the accessibility ramp at the front door to the hand-washing station in the hallway to the shower stalls - everything feels intentional and thoughtfully designed for members to have a good workout whenever they can make it in. Convenience is really important to me and how often I go to a studio depends on little touches like this. Hot Yoga w/ Holly Today I took my first hot yoga class ever! I took yoga for many years and even a semester in college but it's been a very long time since I've done yoga. Holly was so welcoming, kind, and great at pacing the class. I immediately felt comfortable and at ease. She's also very considerate and asks if its okay to adjust your posture/ position. I have to add that I am someone who does NOT enjoy climates over 70 degrees, but I adjusted really quickly and felt like a new person after class. I'd say the class is beginner-friendly and can be easily adjusted for more advanced students. I'm super excited to take some more yoga classes! Spin with Diego If you're looking for an instructor to hype you up, look no further. Diego has an incredibly magnetic personality, and I can tell you that you will never be a stranger if he is in the room. Diego knows how to push and encourage people without making anyone feel singled out or intimidated. He also does a great job fostering a fun, supportive sense of community in every class. Pair that with a bangers-only playlist, and you will get the serotonin/ dopamine boost that will keep you coming back. Additionally, spin is soft on the knees but still a killer workout that will keep your heart pumping. Overall, I definitely recommend this studio to anyone looking for a clean, well-equipped, and welcoming place to work out. You can tell they all really care about the member experience here, and I promise you'll leave feeling stronger- physically and mentally. Hope to see you in class!!
