I reached out to Urban Scout and they had 2 in stock so I asked if he could hold on until 4 pm(about 6 hours after I reached out). I show up at 4 and Ken was working. I mentioned I had reached out about the Calathea and he instantly pulled it out from behind the register. Soooo nice! I was an environmental major in college, and I also collect house plants so the world of plants is super important and exciting to me. Ken was nice enough to not only show me around, but told me a bunch of cool facts about all these plants that I never even knew existed (such as, the rattlesnake calathea spreads out in the day time when its receiving light and will become more vertical as the sun goes down!) I went into the store looking for one specific plant and ended up leaving with 4! The service was enough to keep me coming back until the end of time! I had a great time learning new things and checking out all the beautiful plants. Ken gave me advice on some plant care for the new plants I picked up, and was very enthusiastic with me. This was extra cool because as I mentioned, this field is really important to me and it was totally inspiring to see someone share the same passion. The prices are very reasonable, and honestly lower than a lot of the other speciality plant stores in Reno. I'll 100% be back!

She went above and beyond over and over again, including personally picking up our flower girl basket from my mother-in-law the day before the wedding, dropping off (free!) flowers so that my mother-in-law could decorate our cake with them, throwing in a few little outdoor centerpieces for our cocktail tables at no extra charge (after personally consulting with me and sharing her honest opinion about the venue, and weather or not we needed outdoor centerpieces), and working with my father-in-law to decorate the arbor after he finished setting it up at our venue the morning of the wedding. During the planning process, she asked ALL the right questions so that she knew exactly what I wanted for the flowers, and they were absolutely, completely PERFECT. I can't stress that enough. I am so, so glad I didn't settle for the first few florists that I came across, and instead held out for the one who would make me feel so truly happy on my wedding day. I finally got the new chicken coop up and ready in time to get chicks and start a new flock! Kruses always has the best selection of baby chicks in the area, ranging from all the expected breeds to those wacky and rare ones too. Seeing all of them made my head spin because I really had no idea what the breeds looked like as adults nor what kind of eggs or temperaments to expect. The staff was super helpful and showed me a big chart on the wall detailing it all! We ended up with 10 and 2 ducks, representing 5 breeds! I decided I wanted a third of one breed (buff brahma) and sent a friend to get it but they sent her home with the wrong one. Oh well. We got an extra solid egg layer so it makes no difference. I hear they can get just about any breed you want, so be sure to ask. I'm headed back soon because I need some more food for these little gals! I love Kruses!

I got some Silkies, Polish and Wyandotte's. They also had everything we could need to take care of them: feeders, heat lamps and both medicated and non medicated chick feed. The guy was also knowledgeable about chickens and helped me pick the ones I wanted. I would highly recommend Kruse's for all your chicken (or other farming) needs!
