Came here today for lunch…read more I walked here from my job but I did notice that it has lots of parking. I went inside and got in line to order. There was only one group in front of me so the line went quickly. I ordered a Chili Cheeseburger and onion rings. I wanted to order a beer but pretty sure my work would not have appreciated that. After I ordered my food, I took a seat and waited for my food to be ready. This is the type of restaurant that will call your name when your order is ready and then you go to the window to get your food. My food was ready shortly after I sat down. The onion rings were crispy and the burger was tasty. The burger had a good amount of chili on it but was not overloaded to the point that chili was not pouring out when I took a bite. Some people might like more chili but I like the amount they put on. After finishing my food, went back to work and still had time left from my 1 hour lunch. I recommend this place for fast and good burger.

When I complained, the staff member said "oh we don't wash our mushrooms since they're locally sourced. That's how we get them". I think that's disgusting. I picked them out but still found multiple bits of dirt scattered in the salad. Filthy. Don't order anything that needs to be cleaned first. I wouldn't trust it.

There was a musician singing and playing guitar, and he was really good, which made the atmosphere even better. The drinks were great and the food was even better. There's a small play area just off the outside deck, and several kids were down there playing, which was nice to see. The highchairs can be a little hard to spot, but they do have them inside near the restrooms. Overall, it was a great experience and we'll definitely be coming back!

We had planned to have a few drinks before grabbing dinner but we didn't plan the timing correctly. No biggie...regardless, the food was pretty solid! The fries were great and the dumplings complimented the drinks! My partner had a Moscato and I chose a beer flight. Overall the vibe was good. We just missed out on some live music as they were just wrapping up their set. Nevertheless, we will be better prepared next time!

Golf clap to the visionary that put this development together. Fun Buns shares amenities which includes a kid's playground & a mini dog park, a food truck park, a quaint bar and a stage for live music. The grounds are clean, lined with astroturf and have ample seating. It has a young vibe and is a good place to sit back on your bum bum and have fun. The cheese curds got us started followed by the El Diablo, the chicken sandwich on toasted sourdough, with a side of sweet potato fries. Protein and complex carbohydrates was a healthy option. Wifey went with the Mushroom burger, which was also very tasty. Charlie, our Aussie, also gave us his approval and we promised him to bring him back again soon.

We loved the funky art work (think of well-known buns as wall art, in a tasteful cartoon-like way). Lots of humorous references to "buns" that we all appreciated. My granddaughter particularly loved the oversized Hei Hei ( from Moana) near the front door. We started with cheese curds that were fabulous, served with ranch dressing, but they brought us blue cheese dressing when requested. Many sandwich choices! I had the yummy mushroom Swiss burger with side salad. Hubby had a terrific Hawaiian, with scrumptious pineapple. Daughter had a delish chicken salad and grandd aughter had tenders with fries. The buns were slightly sweet and every ingredient complemented the others. They've got a solid lineup of burgers on the menu, but I was there for one thing, their Philly cheesesteaks. We both ordered the fully loaded version with fajita peppers and a side of crispy tots. The sandwich was stacked, flavorful, and cooked just right, easily one of the better cheesesteaks you'll find around here. If you're looking for great burgers and even better cheesesteaks, Smash'd is absolutely your spot. Friendly service, good portions, and a menu that hits the mark. Highly recommend checking it out.

Yeah, okay, it's convenient, but by the time you pay to park (minimum of four hours, which pissed me off) and then have your tiny, overpriced burger...you gonna be mad. Do yourself a favor and fight for street parking. I walked up to the outside counter Saturday night about 7:20. Never been here. The ladies behind the counter obviously could NOT have cared less. No nice welcome...no pleasantries. Nothing said. I spoke first, asking about seating availability inside (it was chilly), and they were rude - looked at me like I was from outer space and said they didn't know. They said they didn't know in that "yeah, good luck with that...it's Saturday at 7, dumbass" kinda way. How could you not know? And if you truly didn't know, which one of them should have gone to check for me. So I went and checked myself. Turns out: plenty of seating. Returned to the chilly duo and placed my order. Ordered the Wake and Bacon burger. I also ordered a Topo Chico, which was also met with a blank "are you from this planet?" stare. How do you not have Topo Chico or something similar !? The burger was just okay. Tiny, but tasty. Fries were so salty and over-seasoned as to be almost inedible. No one checked on me after bringing me my burger. Not one time. The only reason I gave the third star: neat, dog friendly outside area which would be cool for a group outing. Probably not going back.

I know they also visit some of the bigger condo developments like The Flats in Southtown. The two women who run it are great at what they do! Friendly and attentive. Last weekend, I ordered a chili dog, but they were missing Fritos (boo!), she told me and asked if I wanted a substition. I declined, and she said the next meal was on her. Sure enough, last weekend I visited them again with the intentions of buying my food, but she had remembered and gave me my order on the house without me asking at all. Now the food. I've got to say, the poutine fries and curds are awesome. The fries themselves are a little limp and not my favorite, but the cheese curds are spicy and to die for. Works well with the poutine. I wish you could order just the cheese curds with poutine and leave off the fries. They have a good variety of burgers and hot dogs including Bacon Mac 'n' Cheese, Guacamole, Mushroom Swiss, chili, Poblano, queso jalapeño burgers. I can't speak for those, but I have had the Frito and chili dog and the Cream Cheese Sriracha dogs, and both were pretty good as far as hot dogs go! Nothing to write home about, but decent!
