Éclair, scone, coffee

We were very hungry when we found Mme Gigi and quickly ordered pastries and coffee. As we were eating, I noticed that they had maple croissants and we ordered one to share. Everything was delicious but that croissant was amazing. Service was excellent and friendly. Cute shop in a great location. We enjoyed our visit!

Delicious breakfast and cappuccino! We ordered an croissant, egg, cheese, lettuce, and tomato and a bagel, egg, cheese, lettuce, and tomato. Fresh ingredients and friendly staff. We will be back!

This place looks like it is run by kids...no joke! We thought this was "the place to be" for gelato. However, we were quickly proven wrong. The gelato was not very smooth in texture. One of the boys behind the counter dropped a bagel on the floor and was looking to see if the customer saw. He looked like he was going to continue using the bagel until I kinda freaked out and made a comment. The overall look of the cafe was old and dusty. There was a dusty desk fan hanging from the ceiling as well as spider webs. Unfortunately I noticed all this after we ordered and paid...and ate.

Cheap and amazing food! They're gelato is so good and their almond croissants are soooo good. Crispy, buttery, and light! The workers are so sweet and friendly :)

My raspberry and lemon mix

First of all, the atmosphere was amazing. It seemed like a candy store with all the colors. Next, the lady was very nice to me and my family and gave us our ice creams practically right after we made our order. And last, but definitely not least, the ice cream was amazing. I got raspberry and lemon, and the raspberry reminded me of the ice cream in Poland.

Loved the coconut roll with my cappucino, perfectly wrapped up my evening. Saw a lot of gelatino and baked desserts that a lot of other customers seemed to enjoy.

The gelato here isn't bad, but it's not the best. With that in mind, it's a sure bet to satisfy your sugar craving when you're in the area. Overall this place looks q bit dingy and in serious need of a good cleaning. The server seemed a bit rude and not to eager to help customers, but I'll chalk that up to a long day of dealing with tourists.

We were lured in by the macarons in the window. Not sure about the other desserts, but I give this place four stars! One for each of the 4 varieties of macarons we tried - White Chocolate, Cafe, Cherry and Strawberry! I enjoyed the cafe maroon the best.

Delectable macarons and good people-watching in Old Quebec. Cases of colorful confections on display and various types of gelato. Madame Gigi's looks exactly how one would picture a shop in QC to look. Macarons were well executed with the right amount of chew. I tried: Blueberry Raspberry Port Wine (my favourite...it had a noticeable port flavour that wasn't overly grape-y) The bf had some pineapple gelato that was delicious but small in portion. I tried and enjoyed it but was too fixated on the macaron to pay much attention.

I had the pistachio gelato and it was so good. My husband and I shared and we finished the whole thing and could have had more. We loved the fact that it had actual pistachios in it and big ones too. It made it taste real and crunchy.

This little place while walking along Petit-Champlain was such a nice find. It was the sign that got me to stop and look at this cafe. I was charmed by the quaintness of the store front and when I caught a glimpse of various delectable treats through the glass I popped in. I went in when it wasn't very busy and the staff here were friendly and understanding when I wanted to take a good look at the sweet items. The macarons and the gelato caught my attention and that what's I had for a nice break from the stroll. The Gateau Fromage and the Praline were soothing and so was the cool blue colored Barbe A Papa was also tasty. I highly recommend anyone to stop in at this cafe while exploring Basse-Ville and the Quartier de Rue-Champlain

This place was amazing! It was our last day and we had breakfast here. Honestly it was the best breakfast we had while we stayed here. They have great specials "Sandwich... Soup and coffee" 11.95$ . I had the croissant sandwich with egg and cheese it came with vegetable soup and cafe lait for 1.00$ more. Everything was amazing!!!! I also ordered a pastry with dates (i forgot the name) it was delicious! Everything here is homemade which i really liked as well. It's clean and cute. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Would give solid 3 stars. Was expecting something more special but for the price is just average.

It got gelato and affogato and other things, a large enough range of selection, so for me it's fun to visit.

Picture this: soft snow falling on the cobblestone streets of Petit-Champlain, fairy lights glowing, and the warm light spilling out of this beautiful little café. I ducked in both mornings of my short trip and could have happily stayed all day. The interior is perfect Québécois charm: exposed stone walls, wooden beams, cozy lighting, and that unbeatable smell of fresh baking. First morning I ordered the pistachio latte and the quiche Florentine. I would legitimately sell my firstborn for that pistachio latte: silky, perfectly balanced, with a rich, natural pistachio flavor that no syrup could ever match. One sip and I was ruined for life. The quiche was flawless: buttery, flaky crust, creamy spinach-and-cheese filling, baked to golden perfection. Absolute breakfast heaven. I braved a full-on snowglobe blizzard the next morning just to come back. This time I paired the same life-changing pistachio latte with the almond croissant. I'd hand over my other kid for daily access to these croissants (kidding... mostly). Impossibly crisp and flaky outside, cloud-soft inside, generously stuffed with fragrant almond paste, topped with toasted almonds and powdered sugar. I ate it slowly by the window while the snow piled up on Rue Notre-Dame and honestly felt like the luckiest person alive. The baristas were friendly, the vibe warm and unhurried, and everything was flawless. If you're in Quebec City, make La Maison Smith non-negotiable (and budget time to visit at least twice). Five stars isn't enough. This place is winter-morning perfection.

In particular, the lime panna cotta pre-dessert was light, refreshing, and had a variety of textures and flavors including sweet, salty, sour, crunchy, and smooth all the same time. Quite an adventure for my taste buds! I also greatly enjoyed the savory scallops with roasted corn in creamy corn sauce. So yummy! I chose this restaurant because several google reviewers said the food was on par with Michelin restaurants. I definitely agree. Also the price of the meal is a fraction of what I would normally pay for the same quality of food and service in the US. The meal was so special it felt like an anniversary dinner.

Le 101 had 5-star reviews on Tripadvisor but hardly anything on Yelp. Stunning! Ambiance was very relaxed and welcoming for quite an upscale place and our server was extremely attentive. Best choice, probably the gravlax and pate-croute but also the omelette was delicious. Definitely go for the waffles as a dessert, the blueberries were right in season. If/when we are back in Quebec City, we may consider staying at their Bed and Breakfast as well. If I'd be able to give 10 stars, I'd do that too. Amazing.
