So sad center city landmark location has closed! I'm sure it had to be, finding someone to ring you up was hard. The inventory and way the store was kept was falling apart. Everything changes, sometimes it's felt a little bit different. Sad

During Christmas time, definitely check out the Christmas light show and Christmas Story

Worlds largest functioning organ

Interestingly beautiful. Hopefully this place could be maintained well by macy's and other tenants. Few crew for service. Good value, lots of sales. Alot of selections although some needed replenishment as stocks locks low

Good for mens essentials (socks, belts, etc.) Safe parking underneath with elevator that opens directly into the store.

[1048] 12/2019 This Macy's location is one of my favorites. It's located in Center a City Philadelphia. I love coming here to find cool items on the many floors. The building has many "rooms" which helps keeps things separate and easy for me to find things. The staff is friendly. They have a light show around the winter holidays I'll definitely be back

Had to visit this classic Macys in Philly, in an old school building that looks like a church! They decorated with some holiday decor which brighten the place. Although I felt the men section was lackluster.

Every day at 5:30 come here to listen to the worlds oldest pipe organ. Its pretty amazing!!

This is the only Macy's that I know of that has such beautiful architecture inside.

Let me preface this by stating that this review is just for the Wanamaker organ. Macy's is housed in the Wanamaker building, which is a designated historical building. The Wanamaker organ is the largest fully functioning pipe organ in the world. It plays daily at noon from Monday through Saturday. The music playing from this organ was very soothing and holiday like. I saw one lady closed her eyes while listening to the music play. The pipe organ played for almost an hour. It was great to have a free concert right inside of Macy's. If you want to see it from the first level, just come to the women's shoe section. There's also a grand eagle statue on the first floor as well. You can also see the organ pretty well on the second and third floors. Plus, you can see the person playing the Wanamaker organ from the upper levels. If you want to do some shopping at Macy's and enjoy a lovely concert, come here at noon to get your fix.

Truth be told, I'm not a fan of Macy's at all, and rarely ever shop at any Macy's, except occasionally for cosmetics. However, this one location is the exception. I really liked this store solely because of the super cool architecture in this store. Just step inside, and you'll know what I mean. This is no typical California mall-like store. This was the original Wanamakers Department Store, one of the first department stores in the U.S. It's now an historical landmark, and when you're inside the Grand Court, look up really really high, and you'll see the world's largest functioning pipe organ! I believe they still use it from time to time. See, I told you this is no ordinary Macy's!! I've never been to a department store in the U.S. quite like this. Hubby took me here and said women, including his aunt, used to make special trips into Philadelphia years and years ago from New Jersey just to shop at Wanamakers. Apparently, it was a super big deal back then. Well, Wanamakers is gone, but the beautiful building lives on. It's a must see!

Pretty dumpy and a train wreck of a store. We actually went for the light show they do at Christmas, which was really nice.

They had the socks I wanted. All sale staff smiled and said hi to me. For a Macy's, this one was pretty nice with a decent selection.

There is a parking lot on 13th and Market- which is right across the street from Macys.

Dudes in there are always a little shy but when you get them talking...they know their stuff. Every employee I've ever talked to was knowledgable about inventory, products, and just a generally good dude. This spot also has arguably the best assortment of coffee table books ever, for sale. The brands they stock are thoughtful and considered. You can browse through a rack of Massachusetts brand Penfield, Brooklyn's The Hill-Side and Copenhagen's fresh menswear line Norse Projects (the only place in Philly that carries this brand). P's & Q's also offers up home goods and skincare from eco-conscious brands like Izola and Baxter. The back of the store showcases beautiful hardcover tomes from Taschen Books and U.S. stationery brand Field Notes. The shop also carries their own line of T shirts with smart and bold graphics created in-house. What I like most about P's & Q's is not their stocklist but their overall vibe. The design of the interior is gorgeous. There is wood everywhere including the floors, shelving units and islands. There is something about wood that is just naturally inviting and warm. The occasional incense stick helps also to relieve the stress of shopping (it's hard for dudes sometimes). The entire staff is also super friendly and helpful, and most of all laid back and unpretentious. There is nothing worse than dropping a few hundred dollars in a shop and leave feeling like they did YOU the favor! P's & Q's showcases their own interests and sense of style as apposed to following the latest trends or letting blog posts from Hypebeast dictate their inventory. They also focus on brands that have eco and socially conscious business practices, this is something that is very important to me. I always read about cool menswear shops in London, New York and LA and think to myself "Why Can't Us?" to quote the famous 2008 Phillies slogan. Finally there is a place right here in Philly that offers smart style in a beautiful storefront that is both welcoming and comfortable to shop in.

A few days later, I received a cancellation notice falsely stating that I had requested to cancel the order -- which I had not. I had to reach out myself to find out what happened, and only then was I informed that the company had decided to cancel my order due to the cost of international shipping -- despite the fact that I had already paid the higher shipping and duties. No one attempted to contact me beforehand or offer any alternative; they simply cancelled the order without discussion. To make things worse, the sale price of the bag is no longer listed, raising serious concerns about the integrity of the cancellation. This was a very disappointing experience, marked by poor communication, no accountability, and a complete lack of customer consideration. I strongly advise against ordering from Totem Brand Co., especially if you're outside the U.S.
