To begin with I called and asked someone to come take a look at my house and tell me how many people and how much time it would take. When the movers came, 4 of them, 1 showed up late then talked on his cellphone and only began working 40 minutes after we were supposed to start. He also took breaks. The other employees who were in their 20s said basically, well he's old, he's 42. It was obvious this was going to be a big job and as I was talking the leader he mentioned to me that they would need to leave at noon. I said wait, I contracted to have all of my things packed. Apparently my requesting a person to come give this was a waste of time, I was told they have to leave after 4 hours because they had another job then. I did not say I wanted 4 hours of work, I said I wanted to have someone look at the house and tell me what was necessary to pack everything. As a result I had to spend 2 DAYS packing the remainder of things myself, I'm in my 60s and after two days I was exhausted and ended up just abandoning many things I wanted. But that was not the worst part. I had several items stolen. The missing item were of such a nature one could not arrive at any conclusion other than it was theft. Why? I have a large collection of DVDs and Blu Rays When I unpacked two Box Sets were missing, the Band of Brothers and the Pacific. What are the chances the only things missing would be two box sets on WWII? Then in my office I have a lot of items that are personally important to me, but only two things that really stand out. A large piece of Ironwood that is a Sailfish jumping and Cloisinne vase. What was missing? Those two pieces. On top of that Cloisinne vases always sit on a wooden base. The wooden base was there, but not the vase. I was also missing some cutlery I bought in Russia that is beautiful. It is impossible to believe only beautiful things showed up missing and the only the WWII box sets, and imported cutlery. They didn't pack of of my cooking utensils, plates of cutlery, so when I arrive I had to borrow some and each off of paper plates. This effort was not only slipshod and incomplete, I also had many expensive items, some of which even if I wanted to replace them, it would be impossible to. If you wish to hire this company make certain you have someone watching because at least one of their employees is a THIEF. There are not many alternatives in Sheridan, if you want my advice, hire some high school or college kids, they will work harder and not steal read more

Mac's Moving on W. 5th, Sheridan, WY was formerly on Broadway. Mac's was recommended to me by my new carpet provider. I needed "muscle" to move the heavy furniture out of 2 bedrooms and return the furniture when the job was finished a day or two later. I spoke with Dennis and Stephanie, and "bless their hearts" they worked with me when the carpet layers upped the dates by a week. The job that was supposed to be 1-1/2 days only took 1/2 a day, but Dennis again worked with me on short notice and his men moved everything back in, in a half hour. Even though my job was small, Dennis treated it just as important as a major move. His price was reasonable and his men were friendly and professional. They were careful not to damage the furniture nor my hardwood floors both times. I definitely will call on Mac's again for a short "spot" move, and will recommend him to anyone needing a mover. read more

We contacted Macs Moving on short notice in order to move our belongings from Sheridan to Montana. The owner, Denis, provided a reasonable price to complete the job. Denis and his employees at both ends of the move were very friendly and proficient while both loading and unloading. Our furniture was properly wrapped and care was taken in the handling of our items. I was concerned at first after reading some of these reviews, but I had just the opposite experience of many of these reviews. In the end I was glad we chose Macs Moving. read more

I contracted with Mac's to move from NV to Sheridan. They provided me a reasonable written bid and explained the process beforehand. They arrived on time and took good care of my home furnishings. They were very careful moving out of my old home and into my new home. My property arrived just as it had left. I would use their services again. read more

Awful. If you are considering this company, PASS!!! #1 My fault = I didnt get a quote in writing. Hired this company for a cross town move. They broke several things, including the legs off 2 cabinets! This company had a hard time finding the drop off address despite having the address and the phone number of our next door neighbor and landlord whom they never tried to contact. Here is the icing!! We got no bill for over 6 months from this company, when we called to ask they sent a bill 3X higher than the quoted price! When we objected to the total, they immediately sent us into collections! Since our experience we met several others who have had the same experiences with this company. Trust us, you will regret it if you hire this company. read more

Mac and his cronies are crooks! A couple of years ago I hired this company to help me load a truck. Five minute before they were due to arrive I get a call from Mac, who tells me they are not helping. Mind you we HAD to be out of the house that day. Anyway good ole boy Mac hangs up and I am left to fend for myself. I was 64 at the time and my friend was 72 and female. I agree it was cold that day , in the minus temps. Anyway I wanted to write a review with BBB in Sheridan who immediately took down my review and put in a good review. Making BBB a bunch of crooks. Along with Macs Moving and storage. I did drive to the homeless shelter and got a couple of gents to help, those guys really worked good. Kudos to Sheridan homeless shelter and the VA that houses the homeless. Mac; you need to move your company to a nicer location as far as weather goes so you all can work everyday. Seems as if Sheridan weather scares you. Do NOT trust this company!!!! read more

Wow, I had a very good experience with them. We hired than to unload our uhaul up the stairs into a remodeled main st loft. They hustled carefully. Nothing was damaged. They were polite and professional. I had several heavy antique pieces. I'm assuming this crew must not be the same crew with the bad reviews. I'd definitely use them again. They even unloaded my 1880's piano and placed it in storage. read more
