Both Alex and his wife were very personable and the move did not feel like just business. Alex was really amazing with lifting my heavy items. I was moving from a first floor to a third floor. Unfortunately, in my apartment complex there is only floor level access via the parking garage which does not fit moving trucks and there are no elevators in my complex either. Alex lifted some pretty heavy items up two flights of stairs to drop off in the new unit. These are items I had a hard time even dragging around my apartment. He replied with a snarky "that's fine, but who is going to cover the cost of the materials I just ordered?" First of all, I never said I wasn't going to reschedule. Second, I assumed he would need me here while he did the job so I could pay him. When we talked about schedule availability he never informed me that materials would be purchased so far in advance and that I would be required to pay if I needed to cancel. I have had work done on my home before and am aware a % down is due before work begins, but never 2 months out with no communication to the client. When I informed him that I live alone and had to go out of town for work that week, he replied with "I'm sure you just found someone who could do it sooner. I have been in business here for 18 years with 100% approval rating so good luck" Very rude and unprofessional.
