It's good in a pinch when I don't feel like heading to Raleigh. This visit had ribeye sandwich and fries. Was a nice portion and delish, cooked to order. Wished sides were not just fried. For our first visit we selected the rib eye steak, baked potato, and salad. The salad was a surprise as it was not all ice berg lettuce- it had romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers (yuk- I picked them off), croutons, grated cheese, and......bacon. The 1000 Island dressing was good, too. The baked potato was perfectly cooked. The steak was OK. Now, I was not expecting Beef and Bottle or Angus Barn. Don't get me wrong, it was good. I ordered rare, and that what I got. And I did not have to use steak sauce. There was a lot of gristle, but still a lot of meat. The staff was great, friendly, and attentive. It's a no frills place that's clean. We'll be bavk to chexk out othwr stuff on theenu.

I had high hopes for this place but they were greatly exceeded. This was arguably the best meatball sandwich I have ever had! I was not expecting that from a place in Angier, NC and I don't give that designation lightly. The meatballs were perfection, served in a nice crusty roll with fresh mozzarella and a fantastic sauce. I want to drive back down there just thinking about it and I live 45 minutes away. I also had a cannoli and it was exceptional as well. I'm a cannoli junky and this one did not disappoint. I often don't like the ones where the shell is coated in chocolate because they're often some manufactured shell dipped in waxy chocolate. Not the case here. The quality of the chocolate this shell was dipped in was excellent. If you're in the area and want a great Italian sandwich, absolutely stop by. It's so good it gets the rare Stevie K Certified Legit AF designation.
