Been hearing about this place for a while from some friends. This is a gas station/small restaurant/convenience store located a little off the beaten path.
For our first visit we selected the rib eye steak, baked potato, and salad.
The salad was a surprise as it was not all ice berg lettuce- it had romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers (yuk- I picked them off), croutons, grated cheese, and......bacon. The 1000 Island dressing was good, too.
The baked potato was perfectly cooked.
The steak was OK. Now, I was not expecting Beef and Bottle or Angus Barn. Don't get me wrong, it was good. I ordered rare, and that what I got. And I did not have to use steak sauce. There was a lot of gristle, but still a lot of meat.
The staff was great, friendly, and attentive.
It's a no frills place that's clean.
