It's always a pleasure to share a great place when you find one. My BMW is getting close to 60k miles and the front and back bumpers were showing the wear and tear of the years including parking lot mishaps and ignoring the beeping noise and continuing to back into things. My kids can't figure out how this can happen when I have cameras showing me. I can only shrug. I also was hit on the highway by a car racing through traffic that bounced off my back bumper. The door dings and and rock chips were all distracting me. I love how tidy this business is. The waiting room and office is nice and clean. Mac is so professional and I was referred by 3 different people who immediately said his name without a doubt. I was a bit embarrassed that they cleaned out the inside of the car too as I have a big dog that made quite a mess of the back seat and I hadn't had it detailed yet. I took my '75 Vette in to have the front and back bumper painted, and the work was spectacular and completed on time. The owner, Mac, pointed out that the 'CORVETTE' lettering on the bumper was after market parts and when they were installed, the holes were crooked which made the lettering crooked. He said if it bothered me, if I could find a set of OEM letters he would redo the bumper for free, just pay for the paint. I was on a mission! I finally found a set of OEM letters in the original box online and made the follow up appointment. The labor Mac's staff put into my bumper was a crazy amount! They had to take off the bumper and redo the fiberglass to eliminate the old holes for the letters. They then researched the exact placement of the letters, only to discover that there was no precise layout by Chevrolet; they might be placed slightly different from one build day to the next. So they created a template that looked to be the most aesthetic match, drilled the holes, repainted the entire bumper and put it back on the car. And to finish it off, they washed my car inside and out! I cannot believe the amount of time and effort they put into my car just to make me a happy customer. I am much more than that...I am a customer for life! Mac is such an honest, stand up guy. A short while ago, my sister ran over a tire driving down the hill from Chiriaco Summit. My husband and I were panicked trying to help her over the phone. I brought our 03 911 in for some paint work. Mac called us and said the car was ready for pickup. We picked it up in the afternoon, in bright sunlight, and the car looked great. It wasn't until we brought it home and placed it in our garage that we could see the poor quality. He agreed to redo the work and after another attempt I agreed to refund our money AND repair the speed activated spoiler. He did refund a portion of the work that was defective, but failed to repair the spoilers operation. We had to take the car to Porsche Palm Springs for repair. Mac had failed to rewire the spoiler properly. It cost us $470. read more

I brought my Macan to Macs Auto Body to have a piece of door pillar trim installed. I made several calls to get it scheduled. Every call was met with a friendly voice both from reception and Mac. The work was completed much quicker than anticipated. And when I went to pick up my car, I was told " no charge". This type of service is rare these days. Dealing with auto body repair shops isn't always a pleasant experience. This place is a gem in the desert. Wow ! Simply awesome !. I was referred to Mac's from my neighbor. I wanted to get my 1968 Cadillac convertible restored. I met with Mac well over a year ago and he explained the process and put me on his Classic car waiting list. On 4/3/23 coincidentally was the 40th anniversary of my Mother's death Mac said said let's bring the car in. Mac was amazing to work with. BEWARE! Worst Place in the valley!! I chose to go with this crook on a referral to have my car repainted.They painted my car (Mercedes Benz CLK 320) at least 5 shades darker than the original color and in the process, broke my drivers side mirror and tried to glue the mirror back on and it actually fell off. Then when I confronted the owner, (Mac) he denied and lied that they did not do the damage and refused to address the issue in a professional manner. Now costing me over 500$ to repair. I will be taking them to civil court. read more

An a three time World Land Speed record holder at Bonneville I take pride in all my vehicles. When I sped into my garage and scraped the side of my Mercedes S550 I was very upset to say the least. After looking around the Palm Springs area for a good paint shop I found Mac's shop hidden at the end of a business complex. When I saw a cherry 64 Chevy Impala convertible parked outside I knew I must be in the right place. Mac personally handled my three scratches and did it in record time which also included taking off a door and the rear bumper. Mac's Autobody was recommended to us by an appraiser at a big chain collision care center in La Quinta, Ca. I called Mac, (who was my third estimate), and brought my car over right away. We had had a slight collision with a parking garage wall. His estimate was better than most and we had a very good feeling about him and his shop. He told us it would take 4 days. We dropped it off Monday morning 2/8/2016 and we just picked it up, 2 days early. Since we were not going to be able to pick it up until Monday 2/18/2016. He made it a priority and his staff worked overtime to get it back to us. The car looks amazing, as good as new, and he did not charge us anything extra than what he originally quoted us. And they totally detailed the car. Mac is a very personable, professional man and we totally trust him. If you need a body shop or your car painted call Mac's autobody!
