Anyone who is familiar with the East York Town Centre probably knows that Food Basic's produce is sub-par. Good thing Bill's Farm is just around the corner. Now, I will admit, I don't know where all their produce comes from and I don't think they have a large offering of organics - but everything is fresh and well-priced. I have never had any issues with fruits and veggies bought here. The service is great, I find everyone who works here is very friendly and helpful. There are occasionally some fruits and veggies I've never even heard of - the lady who always works cash will explain the taste/texture to me and even show me how to pick the ripe ones. She has never led me astray. They also offer eggs, tofu, herbs, chow mein noodles, dried fruits, diced and cut fruits and vegetables, nuts of all kinds, some spices/seasonings, tea, fresh cut flowers and small house plants. I know it may sound weird to rave about a fruit and vegetable market, but this place is awesome.
