Macro baby has most of the baby items you need in one place. I came to test and buy a stroller and carrier. The service was standard. We did get our questions answered and got to test strollers but since they are a busy store it's hard to get one sales rep for you. I probably recommend coming on a week day. I came during a weekend so I had to wait to get a sales person attention when I needed help or had questions. Overall we succeed on buying a stroller. You do have to go to a warehouse to pick up the bulkier items. It was great to find out that baby items are tax free. read more

We went to MacroBaby with the intention of finding and trying out a good travel system stroller. The sales associate would not stop following us around and trying to convince us to look at the most expensive stroller options. Even when we said we were fine on our own she would not get the idea. The selection was limited. You won't even find most of the top products listed on Babylist or Amazon in this store. If they did have something on my registry, the mark up was around 30% compared to Target, Amazon,etc. The store seemed to highlight the designer baby items more than the practical ones. So definitely go here if you are looking for Fendi, Lamborghini, and BMW brand baby products. We did find a Graco stroller we will probably end up getting, not from MacroBaby though because again the mark up was over $100 compared to Amazon. read more

Worst experience coming here. My husband and I drove down from Jacksonville to come test out some strollers. Immediately the first thing we've smelled when we walked in was baby powder. Women's bathroom didn't have TP in it so I had to text my husband to bring me some when he got done using the restroom. Couldn't find anyone to help us and majority of the people who worked there didn't speak any English. I felt like we crossed the border. Didn't have much of a selection as far as travel systems. It seems like you have to buy the stroller off the shelf and not in a box. It seems like they're selling items that have been used or discounted price. Wouldn't recommend coming here if you're trying to buy a brand new travel system. Save your money and your time and go somewhere else. read more

Wow, this place has everything you could possibly imagine for all of your baby needs. As someone who is about to be a first-time mom, it was pretty overwhelming, haha. It was nice to be able to see so many of the products I've been looking at online, in-person. If you're looking to test out any of the more expensive baby gear like car seats & strollers before buying, then this is the place to go. Seems like almost all physical baby stores have closed, so I appreciate that we have MacroBaby as in option in Orlando, but being so close to the Florida Mall, this is definitely a tourist hotspot. I can't say that the staff was very helpful. No one really acknowledged us as we wandered around aimlessly. We came with the intention of looking for a few specific items that we needed to check off our list, but it was hard to locate things in such a massive store and I quickly got overwhelmed by all the options and gave up. 3 stars is for how beautiful the store is! My goodness! The selection and the variety is amazing! I love that they have the higher end brands that we can buy from there and they're also in stock! They have a doll nursery which you can adopt babies, although the dolls look extremely creepy (in my opinion) but beautiful lay out of the store. The only kind person that helped me was named Daniela. There was no one to greet us, or say hello to us in any of the aisles that we were in. The cashier was very rude and she didn't care. I saw that it was a lot of tourists, but you shouldn't treat customers like that and make them feel unwelcome. I would go back to get accessories for my strollers and we did order a travel stroller and revolving car seat from there, giving them over $1200 in business, not including accessories that we purchased. There was a very overwhelming smell of baby powder that made me super nauseous. The parking is horrendous. We had no help and didn't even get greeted at all so we kind of aimlessly walked around looking for things and in the end did not find the stroller we were looking for. The staff that were standing around seemed more interested in helping Brazilian people only. The store aisles are super narrow for the amount of people in there. We tried to look at like one stroller but couldn't test it because the store is overcrowded and in the tiny strip at the front of the store where you can test strollers was unavailable because people we're playing with their kids on it. The stuff is pretty overpriced. There was a single item I was gonna buy but the line was super long and there was no rush to get people out so I just put it down and decided I'd buy it online. Scheduled an appointment for the Platinum 3D ultrasound package. Showed up early because there are some forms you will need to fill out prior to the ultrasound. The woman that completed the ultrasound was very punctual. The ultrasound experience was stellar! She made sure I got an abundance of pictures and videos despite having an anterior placenta. She was very knowledgeable, dictated different parts of the body and the movements. The price was very reasonable, I only paid 99 instead of the 150 you would pay if you directly bought from them. You can find the imaging packages for a discount on Groupon. TL;DR: Great service, great people, loved the experience and would come again! Make sure to come early for imaging to fill out paperwork. read more

Macrobaby is a somewhat large baby gear store that caters mostly to south american clients, specially brazilians. As a matter of fact, I would even go so far as to say that this place is the "Mecca" for a lot of brazilian expectant and new parents. Apparently most of the staff speaks either portuguese or spanish. So, I guess if you are a latin person in Orlando looking to buy baby stuff, this is probably the place to come. They do carry lots of stuff, from strollers to diapers, so you will probably find what you are looking for. Staff seemed pretty helpful. But, I have to say that, since I have been to several other baby stores in the Orlando area before coming here, I found prices in this store to be averagely higher than what I saw at Babys R Us and Macro Baby So, its my opinion that, unless you dont speak english, or is in need of a more "personal shopping" approach to baby gear, you will find cheaper stuff somewhere else. read more

As a new Dad, this store had everything I needed to do majority of my hands on research for all things baby! As a new parent, i felt very overwhelmed with all the baby gear and options there are out there now on taking care of a new bouncy baby boy! MacroBaby allowed me to peruse all the products and even provided a checklist to help with what a baby may need. The staff is super informed on all their products and I am amazed at how they remember all the different options a stroller and carseat can have! They don't try to push any products on you either and want you to be the most informed at what you are buying. What sets this place apart is the greater selection of different brands of products that are out there that is not available at your big name stores like Babie's R Us and Buy Buy Baby. We were able to buy our beautiful and safe car seat here and was trained on all it's options and what stroller it was compatible with. They will also check the product on the computer to see if it comes in any other colors or models. If the product is not available in store, they will order it to be picked up at their warehouse, which is only 10 minutes away. If you want to have stroller envy from all your young parent friends... this is the place :) The only downside to the store, which may bother some people is that it is usually pretty busy. It is near tourist shopping mecca aka Florida Mall. It is also staffed with a bilingual staff but may have a few that may have trouble with communicating to certain customers. There is usually a manager or another employee who they'll switch out if it becomes a problem. They also price match and offer discount if you join their free membership rewards program. I LOVE this store. They have a great selection of high end baby gear with some average priced brands as well. Beautiful designer baby clothes, diaper bags, and accessories. The staff is very helpful and several have remembered us from prior visits. We are not Brazilian, nor are we Portuguese or Spanish speaking and we had helpful staff assisting every time we entered the store. Some of these reviews about staff speaking other languages is absolutely ridiculous. I love that their staff is so diverse and able to help the diverse population of Orlando. Baby store heaven! This store literally has everything, well almost but pretty much everything you need in the higher end of baby products. Came here multiple times and was informed by a lot of the staff members of the strollers and carseats, which definitely helped me and my fiance a lot. There are a lot of staff members around the store, very helpful, and informative. The store itself can feel a little crowded since it has rows and rows of products, but it's easy to manuever around it. Only downside is that if the store is busy, you will feel it and also feel overwhelmed with so many people around you. It is located by the Florida Mall and is a target for tourists. If you're a Florida resident, highly recommend signing up for their rewards card, every purchase you make you receive 10% off and points towards your reward. read more

This place is awful. When we made our baby registry, we had to do it THREE times because the girl couldn't figure out how to work the scanner and it kept losing our items. I've shopped here multiple times since. But, the service is horrible and I have had to wait to check out for 30-45 minutes while the girls up front chat away. We went to this baby store prior to reading any reviews. Maybe we went on a particularly good day, but the staff was helpful and attentive, and I don't speak any language other than English. I agree that you could purchase many of the items at other baby stores, however Macro Baby offers some ultra luxury name brand baby items that you would not find at another baby store. For example, they have Coach and Marc Jacobs baby bags just to name a few. Also, this store carries items from Asia that you can't get anywhere else. I wound up buying a specialty baby sponge. Although I haven't physically visited their store, my experience with this company has been phenomenal. I was planning to buy a newly released convertible stroller while on vacation in USA (since it's not available internationally yet) and this was the only location nearby that carried the brand I wanted and promises free delivery in 1 business day within the area. Their online selection is amazing btw. Prices are reasonable for what I was looking for. I have had great success contacting them using the Chat function on their website. They were able to answer all my questions and advise me on how to place my order so that I'd be able to have my stroller on the day I checked in at my resort. A couple hiccups was that the phone number I was given didn't work and that I wasn't contacted when my payment didn't validate at their end. But Sarah, the chat person I had connected with had helped to sort those issues out & they were able to deliver to the front desk of my universal studios resort within a few hours! I even got an email confirmation notifying me of completion of delivery. The parcels with the stroller and additional accessories arrived in immaculate condition and overall I'm very pleased with the service of this company despite the many displeased reviews here. That being said, I was searching for a bassinet attachment for our stroller for about 15 minutes before anyone helped me. I walked up to a group of employees and asked for help, to my surprise they just looked at me like I was some foreign object... Apparently it was the fact I speak English. Don't expect any customer service unless you speak Portuguese. Also, after paying I was told that I needed to drive up the road to pick up my merchandise at their warehouse. I have nothing but positive things to say about MacroBaby! They have such a ginormous selection of all things baby--way more than either Babies R Us or Buy Buy Baby could possibly cram into their stores. They have so many options for strollers, bouncers, swings, toys, feedings, clothes, blankets, etc. I have always been greeted upon entering the store, and stopped by multiple employees while shopping asking if I need any assistance. I've always been extremely impressed by how well the store employees can assemble and collapse each stroller or play yard when inquired on "how does this work?" They also price match (!!!). One time I came in wanting to buy a swing for my sleepless baby and had found a deal on Amazon Prime. Unfortunately they don't price-match Amazon (although any local store and most other online stores are a-go) and the sweet employee found me an even better price on a competitor's site and had it price-matched for me. My new-Mom, sleep-deprived self couldn't have been more appreciative. For this experience alone, all my future baby purchases have been from here. Unlike other stores, their warehouse is located only 5 minutes away so you can just pick up any purchase not available in store (like the specific swing I wanted) and not have to wait for it to be delievered via mail. You get your items quicker and don't have that delivery surcharge. Win! The negative reviews all seem to be from a year or two ago. I can say that my experiences have all been extremely positive...not pregnant, pregnant, and with baby. read more

Macrobaby called to see if I meant to order the item? I said yes and confirmed that there would be no problem with the item being delivered by Friday. Lo and behold - nothing on Friday. I called Saturday morning. They told me it would be delivered to her house before the shower. At the shower I asked her and her husband if they got it. They hadn't. On Monday I called Macro baby and am told that the items were in fact delivered because they "took" them to her house. Its all well and good that the items finally arrived but I showed up to a shower without the gift and spent $15 for shipping that I suppose was just pocketed by the store since it was never shipped to my house? They all give dirty looks and speak in Spanish in a tone that would make any other person who doesn't speak or understand feel very uncomfortable. Macro Baby Review, or Rather, "Rant:" I visited Macro Baby in Orlando for the first time today, and all I can say is I now know exactly how Hansel and Gretel felt when they entered the giant candy-house, only to discover the witch inside waiting to devour them whole. Macro Baby looked like a Baby Utopia from the outside, and I couldn't believe my luck. The first thing you see when you walk in is this spaceship-like device swirling a fake baby around in rhythmic circles -- awesome! I knew I would have to look at everything, just as soon as I'd found those All-in-One BumGenius One-Size cloth diapers I had driven an hour and fifteen minutes to buy at what I consider to be a pretty great deal ($13.99 each). Red flags began to fly as soon as I reached my first customer service representative. I asked her where they kept the cloth diapers. She responded by asking me "Eh? Clah' diaper? Wha?" in a very heavy accent. Oh sheesh, she doesn't understand me, I thought. No matter, I smiled and said I'd ask someone else, thank you. The next lady I asked gave me the same blank look, and answered in semi-broken English that they didn't carry diapers at all. Puzzling. Puzzling because I spent most of last night excitedly putting together my baby registry with Macro Baby, which included the cloth diapers I mentioned earlier. I explained that I had driven a considerable distance to see these diapers for myself and perhaps purchase a few, since according to the website, they were available "in-store only." I received no more response than another confused look and a shrug before the woman walked away. My third attempt was similar, except this woman (who also had a hard time understanding me) walked me over to their disposable diaper aisle, and deposited me there. So they do have diapers, after all.... but does anyone know what a cloth diaper is? The fourth sales rep did know, however, and led me to them. All 11 of them. Seriously. For all the masses of Metropolitan Orlando and beyond, Macro Baby gives you 11 of the choicest cloth diapers ever made by the two brands they seem to be carrying this weekend. And the ones I drove over an hour to buy? Not in the store. Not even available to order. Black-listed. The apparent silver lining was that I could travel a few miles to their warehouse and buy a similar brand, which they would then discount and allow me to buy for the price of the original diaper I wanted. But something, let's call it the Powers Above, possessed me to turn around and ask this woman exactly how many of these diapers the warehouse had available. One. ONE DIAPER. In a box-filled, bustling warehouse, one brave, lonely diaper stood alone, waiting for a home. And these people were actually suggesting that I was supposed to travel miles further than I had already travelled to purchase it. This was their solution. I have no. Freaking. Clue. What just happened to me today, but I am diaperless, dejected, and one registry short of a baby registry. I deleted that one as soon as I got home. You win, corporate America. Target it is, then. Target it is. By the way, that lonely cloth diaper is still at Macro Baby's warehouse in Orlando, if anyone is interested. read more

Short Version: Buy Buy Baby is a far superior store, don't waste your time coming here. My Reasons: I called their customer service before coming to make sure that they had the high chair I wanted in stock before I drove an hour round trip with my 8 month old to get it. I was told they had multiple chairs in stock and one on the floor for us to try out. We arrived to find out they did not have the chair on the floor and it took a staff person nearly 20 minutes to tell us they had none in the back and were not able to order one for us! I was disappointed and a little peeved that my entire morning had been needlessly wasted by their incompetent customer service rep. Other things to note: - Their single toilet bathroom is VERY small. You can not fit an umbrella stroller into the space. So if you do come to the store with your baby be sure you do not need to use the restroom or that your bring someone else with you to watch your child. - Their price match is only for local competitors, not online retailers. - The store is confusingly organized and cramped. Many things are organized via brand so if you want to find things more quickly it would be good to know the brand you want. Not that it helped me as they were out of the brand of bib I wanted but at least I figured it out quickly. :-) This store does offer a nice selection of items and their staff were friendly and I was promptly helped. That is why they got two stars instead of one. However, I have no plans to return as Buy Buy Baby is closer, offers the just as much selection, will price match to Amazon or anyone else you can find, and they will happily order any item they don't have in stock and have it shipped to my home for free. read more
