My daughter has been going there for 2 year now since 6th. we are closing to completing 8 th and moving in to. high school. Brian Bailey the principal here is a no good lying lazy administrator, my daughter has been dealing with bullying there for a few year it has got so bad she had became suicidal, not once but 2 times I have received a call from this school telling me my daughter needs to get medically evaluated due to the severe bullying. We have provided names we have gone to the school district. We've threatened to sue. We have called the police. completely nothing the bully is getting so bad now it's starting to become sexual harassment. Children are telling my daughter, the things that she does and sexually ways but that is 14 years old and a virgin and has an innocent mind half of these things, these children are saying, she doesn't understand what they actually are, Brian, Baily does completely nothing. It's the worst school I have ever been in, I attended 2016-2019 and the bullying is awful and the staff does nothing about it. The staff is not friendly except for maybe 2-3 teachers. There is a huge problem with bullying and fights are very common, the staff does nothing to help and it is sad to see especially when I was a kid since I was dealing with my own family issues. The quality of the school just goes down and down every year and the staff/aids during lunch were awful as they would simply yell at you for the slightest thing. At times, it got frightening as a child who had severe anxiety. Teachers also made fun of children. For example, I had asked a question in math class and I had said it weirdly because of my anxiety and due to my confusion and instead of answering the question, the teacher just made fun of me and had the whole class laughing at me. Even worse, they assign so much homework and simply expect you not to get overwhelmed. The counselors also did NOT keep things confidential and would often just go tell other students what you said to them if it included the students. I remember when I had gotten bullied and I had reported it and instead of dealing with it privately, the counselor had made me confront all of those kids by myself in a room. The kids simply yelled at me and were visibly annoyed and the counselor did NOTHING to stand in and help. The bullying got worse ever since then and honestly had almost pushed me to my mental limits considering I was suicidal at the time. Please for the love of god, do not enroll your child here unless you want to put your kid through mental torture. read more

Wow...what a great group of administrators. Mary Ann, at the front office, Jane Firth, counselor, and principal, sorry I don't remember her name, are all great to work with. They are attentive to our children's needs. Always pleasant to talk to and never look down on parents or students. I've been to schools that are not very interested in having children come in after a month or so and feel that the child is disrupting their routine. These people are not like that at all! We love this school, it's structured classes and wonderful teachers. Many different activities also for the kids to participate in. All around great educational program. Thank goodness my children ride the school bus to and from school most days. Drop off and pick up is somewhat difficult because soooo many kids are dropped off or picked up by their parents. So, make sure you have plenty of gas in your vehicle. Ha However, the principal and staff DO get everyone taken care of in a very efficient way! Great job. If you need a great middle school, with great people all around, then this is the place. I know they serve Alpine, but I don't really know what other areas they work with. read more

Well, I actually attend this middle school and it honestly sucks. The whole school is trashy and nobody pays attention to their students. I don't know where to start, well maybe i'll start with the staff. The principle of 2017-2019 is absolutely terrible, she doesn't care about her students and is very unreasonable. Ex: a girl is wearing mid-thigh shorts, she gives out a referral and is dress coded. Ex:a guy is walking around with his pants "sagging" down almost around his knees, doesn't get dress coded or yelled. A personal example is when there was a whole group of approximately twenty eighth graders of both sexes who were all trying to beat me up, one even threatened me with mace. As I immediately alerted the principle they apparently called in all of the students and "talked them out of it," in conclusion to that example/story they ended up beating me up and nobody did anything to stop it. Also, the staff/aids at lunch are so mean, they come over and yell at you for no reason. You could be just hanging out and someone in your group says something funny, making everyone laugh loudly, and the aid will come over and give you another referral. About 90% of the classes are good, some of the seventh and eighth grade teachers are perverts or cuss a lot and I personally think they should be fired. The counselors are just kind of useless because they say it's all "confidential" but really they tell everyone your personal business or they will go up to you when you're with your friends and confront you, making you super embarrassed. And personally, the worst thing about this school, bullying and drama. It's almost like the school encourages it, you can go into any of the girl's bathroom stalls and it's COVERED in the all this hatred and bullying actually carved into the walls. So in conclusion this school is THE WORST middle school to put your kid in. I mean, I get it, you live in Alpine and its close by, but honestly LCC is almost just as close, if not close. LCC is cleaner and the staff are so friendly, the bullying rate is way less and ALL of the classes are great.
