This is a hole in the wall chicken restaurant. They haven't put in effort is decorating the place or making it appeal. It appears their only objective is to sell you some chicken. They don't even care if you come back. The customer service is horrendous. The old man take your order. He isn't polite. He has never had any customer service training. He is very slow in taking the order. He is difficult to understand. Some say say he is rude. He just say what your order. This was my first time going here in years. I stopped going because he stopped giving customers hot sauce to put on the chicken or fries. He says he wants people to taste his chicken not hot sauce. Not considering the demographics of his customers who might like hot sauce on chicken and fries. Many will go home and put hot sauce on it. I was hungry and in the area. The got the 3 wings meal. It comes with fries and a drink. The fries ate heavily seasoned. It is a unique taste but some say it is too salty. The chicken wasn't special at all. It is okay but just okay. It will do but there are many better options for chicken around with better customer service. I also got jalapeños peppers. I was shocked as well as disappointed with the inside of the restaurant. They built a wooden area for you to recieve your food. It looks poorly done. They didn't even attempt to paint it. There was nothing appealing about this place. There is parking in the strip mall. My husband saw a sign for chicken and waffles on a Sunday morning and just had to stop lol! The chicken is seasoned with a lemon pepper flavor and it's so crispy and juicy! The fries were not anything special. The waffle was delicious but not very warm, the eggs were fine but I would avoid the cheese. They use a nacho cheese sauce for the eggs which was not very good. There is an older Asian man that cashiers... he's interesting. He's not rude but doesn't really have customer service skills. Just have patience with him and you'll be fine lol! The chicken here is so good and they fry it to perfection. But there are a few turn offs for me, on the website there is no menu so you can not even see what they offer or what the prices are, when taking a phone order it should be the customer on the phone that comes first not talking to three other people, and they should have at least have a set cut off time for phone orders and next day orders regardless if short staffed or not. Went there today ordered the 3pc chicken dinner. I received 3 regular size wings,fries and a Vess soda. They call this dinner! That cost me $11.48 and they add .50 cents for using a card. I didn't think to ask if a Roll came with the Dinner and of course it didn't. Almost $12 and they can't give you a Roll. The chicken and fries were warm by the Time I got home. I stay about 8mins. away. After I received my food I ordered 2 Rolls and the Guy told me I need to make at least a $5 purchase to use my card and 2Rolls cost $2.50. I mainly use my Debit card and didn't have cash on me. I told him I didn't have cash and he hunched his shoulders and just looked at me. He didn't try to compromise or give me a Roll and trust me to repay him or nothing. Well I'm done with them and their high prices. I try to patronize small business but when you squeeze .50 cents and try to get you to spend $5 just to get 2 Rolls I'm done! I can go to Church's and get 3pc,side,biscuit and drink for $10. I tried Mack's chicken twice now, the first time I was not impressed they had just switched over from being the BBQ spot. Apparently the recipe improved, this is my 2nd trip and I enjoyed the chicken, the okra was a bit salty but, tasty I must say. You can only buy wings, thighs and legs, have no idea why you cant get other pieces of chicken! They place sits in a small strip mall on a corner lot, when you first walk in you can smell the aroma of chicken in building, it is a walk up counter where you place your order then pay and you will be given a number, have a seat and when your order is ready they will call your number. The aroma of the chicken is a salty, well seasoned fresh savory aroma, the appearance is a golden brown fried to perfection. When you first bite into the chicken it is hot and delicious, way better than a lot of other chicken places I have tried. A nice savory flavor and tastes fresh! The french fries were nothing special, I believe they are frozen and that is OK, they will never be known for their fries! The fried okra, was good, cooked just right, with golden perfection and a sweet savoriness and they give you plenty of it, I ate on that all the way home. It was a bit salty to me, but not to much, this is one of those either you miss it or hit it and they hit it right on the edge of saltiness but not overbearing. You can also order a biscuit with it and it is loaded with a rich butter flavor that compliments the chicken well, you will need something wet...to rinse all this grease and butter down, but it is so good. Tried this chicken joint back in 16. Ordered the chicken and waffles. Paid almost $15 fir 3 little undeveloped pigeon wings and an Eggo waffle. Completely displeased. Went a feed days ago only because a friend of mine was going there to eat. Told him about my past experience only for him to say they're good. I try to support as many BOB as I can. This time I bought a 8 pc wings only snack. $15. Go figure. Same size pigeon wings. Just no waffle. Not impressed. Customer service can be much better. The quality of their chicken is always on point! A little pricey if you're getting anything outside of a combo for yourself but it's definitely tasty. One of the hidden gems in north county for Fried Chicken that i have visited for a half a year now. The 2 Pc Special is always a great deal for me personally for 2.99, but sometimes i end up getting more between 6-9 pc with the works of Okra, Rolls among Extra Seasoning on the chicken and fries. Waiting times can vary depending how busy the establishment is which can vary from 3-5 mins to 10-30 mins, but each time that i have visited the food is always made fresh to order and most of the employees are quite friendly granted if you go in with the mindset of being respectful. Macks will be my choice of a Chicken Joint for many years to come and i Recommend them to anyone looking to try something that add a kick to their variety. read more

I called Mack's chicken on Chambers in St. Louis, Mo. and ordered chicken for the school district on Jan 14, 2020. They told me it would be ready in 20 minutes. When I arrived 20minutes later to pick up order, it wasn't ready and I had to wait an additional 20 minutes or more before receiving my order. Without me saying anything for the inconvenience, Mack the owner offered me a chicken and waffle dinner, but I informed him that I don't eat bread, so I said, "Can you just some extra chicken." He said, sure. I'll have them throw in 3 or 4 extra wings." Then I said, "Thank you you." After arriving back at the school, I opened the bag to find that there was NO additional chicken added for the inconvenience of missing my entire break. I politely called to inform them of the mishap. Lady manager went to ask the cooks about it and they implied, that Mack didn't tell them about it and he was No longer there for them to ask him. She asked me to call back in a bit. So that's what I did. He was still not there. So I called back the next morning and spoke with Mack regarding the mishap and he bluntly said his cook and his cook assistant did put it in the bag. Anyone that knows me, knows I have great integrity about myself and wouldn't make this up for 3 or 4 chicken wings, but since that is what you did tell me, I felt it should have been honored and that's the only reason I called to find out what happened. When I spoke with Mack, he was very unprofessional, Unapologetic and very rude. As I tried to explain the situation to him, he said, " I'm very busy. I don't have time for this. My head cook and his assistant says they put it in the bag." So now you are calling me a liar. My household, family and job spends a lot of money at Mack's although the food is good, they have always been rude and unprofessional. But this particular time I thought it would be a pleasant call of just come get what I told you I would give you. It's very hard trying to Patronize areas that just don't hold up to being kind and their word being bond to people. I tried to place a call in order and was asked to hold I held on for like 2 minutes and then a woman picked up and said can I help you and I told her I wanted to place a carry out order and she said oh hold on. Then a man picked up and said what can I get you and I told him I wanted three of the special $2.99 orders. He says we don't take special orders over the phone you have to come in I said okay I'm on my way anyway but I have order this same order over the phone before. I get to the restaurant and I ask them when did they change their rules. A lady working there said it's always been that way. I tell her I have ordered it before over the phone and she said no you haven't and calls the man to the front that was on the phone with me. She said the woman that you were on the phone with and told her she could not order specials is here now. She go on to say I will not be taking your order because I am actually off so you'll have to wait for somebody else to ring you up. Next the owner comes up and says no we don't do specials over the phone that's a walk in special only. I said you need to specify that somewhere or tell people and he said we do over the phone I said no the other man just said no specials order over the phone and I have ordered it in the pass over the phone.I said okay whatever I will place the order anyway and the manager kept talking back to me crazy and I said you know what just give my money back I will never ever give them my business again.
