However, recently I contacted him because I had work for him. He also recommended a so called professional cabinet installer. Alex and I agreed to an appointment time for a bid in advance and he never showed up and never called. I tried contacting him for a week after and he never answered his phone, emails, or texts. I thought something happened to him. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Come to find out he was getting my messages all along. The cabinet installer, (professional???), that he recommended was a hack that gave me a bid via email that just said a number, 1500$, and nothing else as to the scope of the work. The cabinet guy said he had to charge more for installing because he had to pay a percent to the guy who the license belonged to. Which is illegal, period!! It makes you wonder if the dummy cabinet guy was borrowing Alex's license. Alex is a disrespectful unreliable idiot. Do not trust anything Alex says! The guys he says are professional are mommy's basement boys! Alex wasn't respectful enough or man enough to answer his phone or messages. He just ignored all communication. He's one of those dime a dozen guys out there that are not worth your time or money. Look elsewhere, you'll be glad you did.

Two years later I hired him again for another wood staining project. This is when the nightmare began. I was told it would take two weeks. It's been three months, the quality of work is terrible, they damaged my 100 year old historical wooden beams, they show up about 25% of the time and the owner never comes to check the work and just demands money. When I finally got the owner to come by the house, he agreed with me that the work done was absolutely horrendous and that he personally would be coming over for the next couple of weeks to fix and finalize my project. He then told me that he got sick, and he would reach out after he was feeling better, and I have never heard from him since. I've called, texted, reached out every way I can. It's been four weeks with no response . I reached out to one of his workers and the worker confirmed that he was never sick. This man owes me $14,000!!!!!!!! BEWARE! Project incomplete, he has walked from it completely and stole my money. I will will filing in small claims court to retrieve my $$. If anything changes I will update my review!

What I like about San Diego Paint Pros is that once they start a job, they come back everyday until they finish it. Many of the paint companies I have used in the past took way too long, once they started a job they would disappear for days and then try and tell me they need to charge more money because it was more work then they anticipated.
