The chicken and shrimp were pretty bland, but the steak was well-seasoned and flavorful. I'd skip the Texas and just order the steak instead. My date ordered the birria tacos, they were just okay. Nothing bad, but they didn't really stand out. Overall, cool patio, good drinks, and a nice atmosphere.

It was later in the evening say 9pm. I ordered food and one of their Margaritas. Thankfully I did not get a huge one because it tasted horrible. When I mentioned that to my server he basically said too bad it's alcohol and I had to drink what was poured for me. It was basically some sort of premixed Jalapeño margarita that was brownish in color with an unpleasant taste. I love Jalapeño margs., but this one was not delicious. I tried a couple more tiny sips, but it was NOT going to be possible to drink. My actual food was eh. I believe my food order was slightly wrong. Plus, it wasn't any exciting so I didn't take a pic. I'll be trying a different Mexican restaurant next time and just to be on the safe side bottled/on tap beer. Sad bc I love Mexican food and this place immensely disappointed me!!

It was my first time trying them out, so I opted for a lunch special, since they were pretty affordable. The beef quesadilla came with rice and pinto beans. It did not have any toppings included except for the cheese and meat, so I requested tomato and lettuce and the server brought it out on a plate with shredded cheese (white). The flavors were good. The beef was seasoned well. The free chips and salsa were fresh, although the salsa needed a touch of salt. Not too spicy but good. I liked my food. There was an up charge of $2.50 to add the toppings to my quesadilla, and I was okay with it because it made the quesadilla taste a little better in my opinion. :) Overall, the food was good and I would go back again for lunch if in this area.

The inside has seating available, so we opted to sit down to enjoy the meal. The first visit was on a weekday afternoon & the cashier was so sweet, welcoming & friendly. She took her time to explain the menu options to me as a first timer, offering suggestions and allowed me to sample the agua refrescas. I liked the pineapple enough to buy a small cup & the hibiscuis was also good. On the first visit I opted for tacos & she explained that they were award winning from 2020 in a competition! I ordered a carne asada, pollo and el pastor. My husband had the hibiscus drink and decided to order a six piece with fries and two carne asada tacos. There was a refrigerated bar that included salsas and sauces, spicy peppers and lime. It took about 15 minutes to receive our food, mainly because of the chicken wings, but everything came out hot and fresh. My favorite taco of the day was the pastor! The wings had decent flavor, and my preference was the lemon pepper. Everything was fresh, but I did not like the shredded chicken taco (mainly because it was dry & needed more seasoning) and the steak had good flavor but was a little dry. The tortillas were fresh and you could tell they were homemade. When we came back on a Sunday for lunch, I decided to try the carne asada nachos with a side order of fries & they were delicious. The steak was juicy and well seasoned, the chips were fresh, the white queso was a good consistency too & it had fresh lettuce, white onion, tomatoes and cilantro. I asked what toppings came on it before ordering it and she made sure to include everything that I asked for. My husband ordered more tacos & wings & my son went for the hot wings and fries. The food was even better on Sunday afternoon than during the week. Overall, I am so glad I tried this spot. They are affordable and offer good flavors! I recommend if you are in the area.
