Deerkill is by far the best day camp in the Rockland County area. The staff (from counselors to instructors) is also fantastic and a group of very experienced professionals. The directors are always developing new programs and bringing in the latest activities for campers of all ages. One of the newest additions to the camp is the climbing wall and zip line. My kids could not get enough of them. My kids are also huge fans of animals and the fact that Deerkill has a pony, and a couple of friendly alpacas is a great plus. Overall, I would recommend Deerkill to anyone that would like to provide their kids with the opportunity to have summers they will never forget making life long friends along the way. They rushed the kids through the use of the instruments and also the celebration. They were cold and didn't seem how to know how to be friendly when speaking to kids at all. Overall no one was happy with the service and effort put into making sure the kids have fun. Maybe they are just not great for parties but I was kind of surprised by how bad it was. Do better, your establishment is geared toward children. Perhaps hire people who like working with children.
