I read so many great reviews, I was really excited to go here. I don't get my hair done often so this is a treat for me, but sitting over 3 hours in a salon with no music, to get my hair poorly colored and not even styled, because Felisha triple books her appointment's.... Not worth it. I went in for a color, some peek-a-boo highlights, and a cut. My last salon did all this, plus beautiful styling with curls in 2.5 hours. When I called to book my appointment I asked about the time and she told me it would take about 2 hours TWICE. After 3 hours, I was still waiting to have my highlights washed out. She stated "the product has to sit so long", but 45 min to set the color and 25 min to set the highlights does not equal 3 hours... Most of the time there were 2 to 3 people in a chair waiting for something from her, plus appointments waiting. To save time, she had her mom wash hair and apply my red highlight color. The highlights came out spotty, many areas the color is inconsistent and there is a bleached blonde color throughout where no red was even applied. Felisha is as sweet as can be, as is her mom, but if you schedule multiple appointments at a time then NO ONE gets a quality job. I wish her the best of luck and hope she can get things together, but this was a terrible experience for me and I won't be back. read more

If you don't mind the atmosphere of a daycare, it's okay. Not great with super curly hair.

Both Britney and Felisha give absolutely fabulous cuts and color. I had Britney help fix a color botch job when I was trying to grow out my gray hair. It is now growing out beautifully from a great cut and I expect that two more cuts will get me to all natural gray. My grandson has curly black hair and Felisha has done a beautiful job with his hair. We won't go anywhere else! read more

This Salon was recommended to me on Facebook and I couldn't be happier! I have gotten a cut, style, highlights plus lowlights for depth and a Brazilian Blowout for the summer. Plus they were able to keep my curls and now I have WAY less frizz! It has been great. My niece in the photos got a Brazilian blowout to tame her frizz and a balayage to lighten it up. Just had a haircut with Brittney and was not very impressed. Everyone was nice enough, cute place, but my long layers consists of exactly two lengths and I can still feel dead ends. My hair isn't nearly as full bodied as it usually is leaving a salon; in fact it looks pretty flat. She kept looking for the products she needed too and they actually ran out of texturizer and wound up using a dry shampoo instead because it "works the same". Not on my hair it doesn't... Also had some conversations with the other people in the salon about working with Jenna-ed hair and they said they could put funky colors on top of it, but after hearing one of the stylists talk about making a woman's hair literally smoke and burn her and blaming the metallics from the client's previous dye (why wouldn't you ask enough to avoid this?), and the fact that a lot of places will not even try to dye on top of henna, I think I'll pass so I don't wind up with green or burnt hair. read more

After being a loyal customer for six years & booking year appointments in advance. At the end of my color the "stylist" walked off, threw up her hands & said she didn't have time to cut my hair. This is what a loyal customer gets after six years of consistent hair appointments - every five weeks. But, I did see this coming. read more

Mace Inspirations Salon has a beautiful venue, extremely clean and the staff communicate very well so you understand what they're actually doing. Super nice value and service for the prices you pay which are very decently. Crystal Hearn did a great job on my hair as she was very communicative in what she was doing the entire time and offered opinions to make sure my hair was done to its full potential without forcing them on you. Had my haircut yesterday 5/28 and will definitely return. I am extremely picky about my hair and frankly, probably annoying about it, but Felisha listened to exactly what I wanted and delivered. I went in because a co workers mom had recently gotten her hair cut there. I showed the girl whom I believe is the actual owner my hair and went over my hair color history which is extensive. I had a great stylist but we have moved to Cumming and the travel time to see her seemed to much. I wanted to trim my ends and styled but what I got was a trim. I gathered it might have been for time but we talked through out the service about my interest in getting my hair colored with a great red and incorporate blonde highlights similar to Amy Shirley of lizard lick. She said she could do that and quoted a price of $60 written on one of her cards. Which was a great price I thought. I came back a few days later to set my appointment and she than told me that it would be at least $100 (her normal price was $130) I was a bit shocked at the price difference and she explained that the original price was red color on the sides and back with high lights in the top that would blend with with my natural and the red. Which did not make sense and I asked for clarification. She showed me a picture of a female who had red and blond streaks with her natural hair that was probably dark blond maybe light brown in color. She was hoping I would like the particular red used which I did though it was not the color I wanted. I however was not keen at all with what she had done with the other clients hair. To me which is my own personal opinion...it looked horrible. The colors where done well but the combo was what turned me off. She was explaining that was what she could do to mine and I explained that was not what I wanted. We went back to discussing all over color of red with the blond highlights on the top only, which brought us back to the price of $100+. I showed her my first card which said clearly red all over color with blond highlights for $60 and asked her what it actually entitled as I had read it to mean I would get all over red color with blond high lights. She told me it would actually consist of red on sides and back with intermingled my hair color as it is now with 3 months of root showing with red bases in various shades of fade with blonde highlights (17 foils to be exact). I explained that that explanation made no sense in general for someone to want and it did not fit what was on the card. I told her I would check and research this as I wanted to get the service I was first promised and it actually make sense. I believe she can do the service and do properly but I am unsure of communication and that thought alone scares me. I do not like the price jumping $40 between one consult and the next....I fear it jumping higher before I actually got out of the chair if I let them do it. I have taken the cards to competitive salons in the area and they quote me $130-140 with cut and style so her original price was far cheaper while her second price may have been cheaper but on target. However when I explained to the other stylist the explanation I got...they shook their heads in confusion. read more

Felisha(Owner/stylist) has been cutting my hair for over 4 years. If you didn't know better you'd think my hair was easy to do, but believe it or not a military style fade is easy to screw up and she never has in the 50 or so times she has cut it. She is very friendly and customer oriented. Her rates are as good or better than most mega salon chains, but the services are better. She also offers a military discount. read more
