Came here to watch Arsenal v Liverpool game with other Tampa Arsenal fans. The food is actually much better than you may expect from a "club". The fries are salty and thick. The avocado chicken sandwich is really tasty too. This was a great place to watch a game with some friends. read more

Update - just went through these reviews as well as Google Reviews, and it looks like this is common practice for this establishment. DISGUSTING!! They should be sued for assault, endangering minors, and intimidation. I just witnessed this guy take money from a couple of under age girls to let them get in the bar. However, it looked like another girl refused to give him money, and he got very aggressive, and literally slapped her hand. I don't care if the girls were right, or wrong. It was infuriating to see this guy hit a girl half his size and age...COWARD!! I think the guy pulling him back, saw it happen too. This establishment needs to be careful, before they get slapped with a lawsuit for assault and getting paid on the side to let under age kids get in. read more

I went to MacDinton's last night to see my favorite bartender Michael and, to my surprise, I heard he was terminated over something ridiculous! I started going there a few years ago when you would post videos on instagram with the bartenders favorite shot and went there for that! Michael is BY FAR your best bartender. Whole package, speed, customer service, friendly, therapist, and all around a great dude! I am unsure of the whole story behind all of this, but I truly feel (as a manager in this service industry) Michael should be allowed back to work. read more

The fact that they fired Mike (the best bar tender at the main bar at any given time) over someone who barely attend MacDinton's is insane. This is someone who has been here the first time I've came here, which is years ago, and should be here till the last time I'm here. Come hear to feel different- when I hear " I like to move it move it" I immediately side eyes the several twenty somethings that must be thinking this song is an original that seem to be losing their minds. That's when I knew I was too old to be in this place. Three long islands later paid for by someone's son that thought my drink was unique made me second guess my assumptions. :-) This could work. The bar was busy but good. Super strong drinks! I do a drunk smile ahead and notice a dude at least 60 years old. Yes I'm not the oldest person here on a Monday night! Most people are watching a pitiful Miami game and sipping drinks as they chat with friends but a small few are dancing (the main reason I'm here.) An IG post lead me here for salsa/bachata dancing (but there wasn't much dancing) and the drinks have me stuck. It's an ok bar. read more

The place to be in soho!!! Newly remodeled outdoor HUGEEE patio, drink/food specials ALLL the time. Helpful staff. Amazing boneless crispy wings!!!! This is truly the definition of a BAR, as you will come here and guaranteed to meet someone to chat with haha! Everyone is so friendly, and if there are ever any problems, security is on it ASAP. My applause to the owner! Very affordable drinks/food, especially considering this is a very college populated area. -1 star because this place does tend to get TOO crowded on weekends and there's barely any room to walk. read more

Went last Saturday lunch time to watch soccer. Good crowd of Manchester United supporters but unfortunately they had everyone crowd around 2 of the TV's. We asked the bartender to put the game on another, to which she did so we could spread out a little and not be on top of each other. Then within 5 minutes another bartender just suddenly turned the TV over. She said "my buddy wants to watch the basketball" - great customer service. We moved over to the side bar where they reluctantly put the game on, but we couldn't stay more than 10 minutes. It was like the bartender hangout area. Constantly having to ask them to not stand in front of us blocking the TV, and having to listen to them bad mouth other people. It was sad. I've never witnessed such a negative, unhappy, depressed looking group in all of my life. It really killed the mood. I didn't even finish my drink. I just had to leave. 0/10. I've been in Tampa for almost 6 years and I've never been to to try to crack jokes or make disrespectful remarks and think that's what's going "make us buddies" you're sadly mistaken. Back to the bar i go used the bathroom and its a nice vibe inside people dancing and having a good time not bad. Then a security walks up and tell me to pull my pants up which throws me off i say to him my pants not sagging he says he saw my boxers when i tied my shoes wtf type of joint is this? It's a difference between someone walking around with their pants hanging off their ass but I'm 35yrs old and i don't dress that way nor carry myself in that way. That shit pissed me off. Back outside and another weirdo has approached and at this point my friend and I are saying this is why we av. :: oid places like this. Seems like a cool spot to grab a few drinks and catch a game but these dudes here will have you five seconds away from catching an assault charge. Now let me sum this up. Why were we approached by these two guys? I lefted out two important details. Women & insecure white men. Both interactions with these two dudes started with a woman they were with speaking to us first and like most insecure men the dude himself will try to engage with the other male and slick talk him to show his woman he's "tougher" or "cooler" than the other guys smh pretty pathetic to be real. While the girl is laughing and enjoying a conversation with my friend which she Initiated lol. I do a good job staying away from the ignorance but somehow it seems to find me. Absolute terrible customer service. The bar back pushed us before even asking us to move out of his way while we weee kindly ordering drinks from the bartender. Then the "manager" pulled us aside and had a talk with us saying we were wrong because we were standing in the Bar backs way. Completely siding with the bar back that had a complete egotistical attitude. The bartender even tried to say it was her fault not ours or the bar backs. She was just being nice. The barback was a complete d**k. Our three drinks were just placed on the counter in front of us. Any respectable employee would let the customer grab the drinks and pay the bartender before shoving the customer out of the way. I will NEVER go back. Went here tonight to celebrate my graduation with my family and a bouncer grabbed my bother for no reason and escalated a situation that didn't need to get physical. We had been explaining to the bouncer that we were saying our goodbyes to our family members and were getting ready to leave and they were being impatient, and constantly kept telling us that we needed to leave immediately when we were getting ready to go. However, they refused to listen to us and understand that we were saying our goodbyes, and it ended with my brother being dragged out by bouncer for no reason. read more

I had to give this place 5 stars. Why? Because this pub holds so many memories that I can't really fully remember! I've made friends here, spent many holidays here and even sprained my shoulder here. If you are looking for a damn good time and don't mind crowds of boozers, make your way to MacDinton's in Soho. Drink prices are going to vary depending on when you decide to go. Friday night is where it all began for me with $10 all you can drink from 6-8pm. The lines are VERY lengthy trying to get in and I highly suggest you arrive early. I'm on the text notification list and they have a deal running that you can skip the line if you arrive really early and order a food item. Every time I've gone to Friday Happy Hour, I have ended up quite obliterated and hungry. The crowd is mostly college students looking to get the most bang for their buck and it's sometimes really hard to even get to the bar to get a drink. Tip your bartenders, people. They work their butts off. Thursday night is karaoke with $1 Miller Lite drafts. The karaoke has actually been decent the past few times I've gone and it's always really crowded. They have happy hour during the day and Irish menu items if you want to eat here (I never have, but the menu seems tasty!). Check out their website before going to see if you can catch any specials. They host soccer game watches often as well as big parties for your major holidays (especially St Patty's). Parking is valet during busy times and if you can't get a spot in the lot, I would suggest parking on a side street near the Publix Greenwise to avoid tickets or towing. You can bring your doggies on certain days and the outdoor patio is a great place to sit back and enjoy a beverage. If you want good, stiff drinks and a lively atmosphere...make your way to MacDinton's! read more

I finally made it here!!! Me and lots of drunk college coeds. What's not to love? This is party central in South Tampa (SoTa.. a.k.a South Howard). They have a DJ kicking it and a stream of tight skirted and tight shirted jabronis flowing in. Sink or swim booze events. It's all a bit over the top and grotesque, but.. well.. once in a blue moon.. it's time to PAAARRRRTTTTYYYY! So go big or go home. I usually prefer going home. But despite the excess, waste, buffooery, lack of culture, and ugly billboard they put up, the music be bangin' and the "ladies" be puttin on a show.
