I came out to the Plant Street Market recently, to see what all the hype was all about. Some places are so over-hyped, but this place was not one of those place. The Market was absolutely appropriately hyped. The quantity and quality of the food stalls within were banging. One of those stalls I stopped at was this place, MAC'd OUT. Build your own mac 'n' cheese? These opportunities don't come around very often. I had to take advantage. There are a few curated macs that sounded pretty good, but I like personally being able to customize, so I dove in to the surprisingly affordable ala carte options. I don't remember exactly what I got, but I do know that chicken breast and caramelized onions were involved. Either way, they loaded up the tray, passed it through the rolling oven thing, and served it to me. The portion size of this thing was shocking. I'm not complaining. Just be forewarned. You should share this thing with one or two other people. So much tender chicken, so many perfectly cooked noodles, all smothered with that classic colored cheese you've been eating since you were a kid, and topped with slightly charred bread crumbs that added the perfect texture to this dish. This place, and the associated Chicago Stop, seemed to have employed young folk that couldn't get off their phones for longer than 15 seconds at a time. Must have been a good TikTok they were watching. Again, not a detractor for me. Just don't expect pleasant customer service. If you like mac 'n' cheese, and the people out there who are mac fans are True mac fans, you will love this place. Come here. I'll be back.

Mac'd Out has some of the best Mac and Cheese I have had, and the portion size is large so I often take at least half home with me. There are a lot of different customization options, but my choice is always the pork belly, which is nice as it's not a common topping for a Mac and Cheese dish. Definitely enough to share with a friend, a lover or no one at all! Perfect addition to a trip to Crooked Can!

Pros: This place is located in the beautiful Plant Street Market, so when you come here exclusively for the mac 'n' cheese, there will be something for everyone in your crew. It's a build-your-own, completely customizable mac 'n' cheese, so you can make it anyway you like, which I loved! It's like the Blaze Pizza of mac 'n' cheese. The portion size was out-of-this-world huge. You don't be able to finish it. You definitely get bang for your buck here. Cons: The portion size may be a con, for amateurs. Tips: Ask for extra bread crumbs on top for more crisp texture throughout.

Lots to like here. The Mac n cheese options are excellent. And you can also make up your own concoction. The Southwest has got some poblano & jalapeño chilis goin on and the flavor is strong but good. The staff are friendly but quiet. The same location also has Chicago Hotdogs that are soooo goood (but expensive). $6 for a regular sized dog is too much. If they were footlongs that would make more sense. I loved my hotdog but hated the price so I can't justify paying that much again.

Located in the Plant Street Market is MAC'd out! Im such a Mac and cheese lover so I definitely had to try this! I ordered just a kids Mac and cheese for my son. It came with a juice box and came in a huge tin foil box filled with creamy, cheesy, delicious Mac and cheese! There were breaded crumbs on top and OMG, so good! I can't wait to come back and get some more with maybe some toppings!

We decided to hit up the little restaurant row on Halloween and since I love mac n cheese or seemed worth trying this place out. I will say that it's a bit pricey for what you're getting. I went with the Philly mac and it had the standard items you would find in a Philly cheesesteak sandwich buried in the creamy mac n cheese. I believe they also use several different cheeses that they melt all over the top of it. The flavor and seasoning was pretty good in this dish and it will fill a person up. Next time I'm willing to splurge a bit on some mac n cheese then I will hit this place up again and try one of their other yummy options.

This place is "ok". The Mac and cheese is not the best to be honest, homemade is better. The cheese used is not the best and the macaroni itself is a bit overcooked. What makes this place is interesting? The huge container and delicious combos of toppings and protein! That's the best part and great value - worth the money! Happy for the to go container lol easy to reheat in the oven in case you don't finish it. I ended up getting the best one favorable to most - the buffalo chicken Mac :) It didn't take long for it, about 8 mins, but one should expect to wait longer if it's busy.

Great place for a quick meal while enjoying Crooked Can brewery in the French market setting. Mac n cheese is often associated with kids but I assure you, no adult could say no to some of the options they have here!! You want philly cheese steak on Mac n cheese with some garganzola and grilled onion? They have that!! SOOO GOOD!!!!

Highly recommend getting mac and cheese from this little kiosk inside Plant Street Marker! They have various kinds of mac and cheese and a make your order option as well. I did the Buffalo chicken one and it had just enough heat and spice, amazing homemade noodles, and it was such a large portion I couldn't even finish myself. It was ready when they said it would be (I think about 10-15 or so mins) and it comes in a take away dish you can pack up and bring home the leftovers if you wanted.

On a mini vacation to Florida visiting close friends. Our friend suggested visiting winter gardens a trendy/hipster community. They a lot of places to eat. We walked through plant street market and ran across this place. We got the southwest Mac and cheese. It was prepared well, it had fresh jalapeño peppers, chorizo and were topped with bread crumbs. I would share the serving with someone as it is to much for one person. If you are ever traveling through make a stop here and give them a try. There is a microbrewery here so get some beer to wash it all down. read more

By far some of the best Mac and cheese I have had in a long time. Between the fresh made noodles to the topping and specials options you can add. This small location is inside the plant street market right in the middle the gentleman who took our order and made and served us was awesome I got two orders and had a lot of left overs so I'm happy that I get more than 4 meals out of it you get more than your money's worth! I went to check out Plant St Market and after looking at all the stalls I decided on Mac'd Out. I'm a big mac n cheese fan and I liked the option of being able to build your own. You can also get some of their creations or add on to their base of mac n cheese. I decided to add bacon and Gorgonzola which I definitely recommend. It's a generous serving that they give you and they definitely don't skimp on the extras! The only small thing was I thought it was just slightly pricey even with the big size but it wasn't enough to deter me. I would definitely check this out the next time you're in the area! read more

The buffalo macaroni and cheese is to die for, also a great location because we grabbed some beers from The Crooked Can and enjoyed the live music outside with our food. Only thing I would say is the blonde girl working the food booth yesterday looked miserable and almost even annoyed with us for ordering food. She didn't even say anything to us other than our total. We were told 6 minutes until the food was ready and when we came back in less than the stated wait time, there were 2 plates of Mac n cheese sitting on the booth counter, when we asked if one was ours the girl looked at us like we were stupid and nodded. When visiting Plant Street Market you have a lot of options. It is not an easy decision to pick where to eat. Until you try Mac'd Out. Hands down the best food option. I've had it multiple times and I've finally made the perfect combination. Steak, roasted red peppers, and broccoli. Delicious. They're pretty speedy there too. I usually get there order, grab a beer at Crooked Can, find a seat and by then my Mac & Cheese is ready. I'm excited to try more options. You can always create your own, but they have rotating specialty ones. read more

What's there not to like? Pasta and cheese with a bit of a crunch on top and some really tasty flavors...heaven!! The Buffalo Chicken was flawless and I wish it wasn't a heart attack in a serving or else I'd have already been back for more. If you're a buffalo chicken lover you would LOVE this dish - the pasta, cheese, flavors, chicken, sauce, etc. are all amazing! So far, this market has not let me down :) read more

Mac and cheese is ok. The noodles I got in mine were significantly undercooked and a little hard. The chicken in the Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese seemed to be from proven patties. Service was decent. I probably wouldn't eat here again as it's way overpriced for the lackluster pasta. read more

Love!!! This fresh cheesy goodness is our favorite stop at Crooked Can in DT Winter Garden (besides the beer of course!) It's creamy and gooey and just plain good. Fun but pricey option in Plant St Market. I got bacon mac and cheese - a typical favorite of mine. It was too much bacon - I know, blasphemy - but in the minds of some it might justify the price: $13.48 with tip. If I was craving mac and cheese at Crooked Can again, I would just get plain. read more

Very good! Husband had their Siracha red pepper steak Mac and I had their southwest. The southwest is spicy but great, I liked the siracha a bit better myself. The cheese sauce could be a little thicker for my taste, the bread crumb layer a little thicker and the pasta is elbow pasta so it's a little less gourmet but still tasty. Overall very good but room for improvements! read more

I was curious about gourmet mac 'n' cheese. I decided to try the philly cheese mac. I've got to say I was disappointed. The cheese was runny and had no taste. The steak, onions and peppers didn't have much taste or seasoning either. For the price, I was expecting something spectacular. The service was friendly. I was able to try a sample during the winter garden wine walk and I'm so glad I did. Thank you Mac'd Out for taking part. I hope it brings in some new business because this girl plans to be back to try a full portion. They were sampling the bacon Mac and cheese. It was fresh pasta (made by Orlando City Pasta) with a creamy cheddar sauce with bits of bacon throughout. It's so fun to have a Mac and cheese place in Orlando and I'm so thankful it's in Plant street market read more

Excuse my French, but the best f*****n Mac n cheese I've ever had. Employee referred for me to try the buffalo chicken with bacon next time I come in after I ordered the New York stripped philly mac and you wanna know what??...........I'll be back for the buffalo chicken and eventually the whole menu. 10 out of 5 stars. Let's focus on what food reviews are important for, the flavor. We got the philly and it was very flavorful, filling & different than any other Mac & cheese I've had before. I personally think the price is what gave this 4 instead of 5 stars...$12 for essentially a side dish? The portion was a decent size for $12 I just find it to be a bit much for Mac. read more

I don't care for Mac and cheese, but this was delicious! Definitely recommending to friends and family and we will be back to eat it again! What a delicious recipe and awesome concept. We opted for the create your own with broccoli , onion, and poblano peppers. Sautéed onions were great, peppers flavorful, and broccoli the perfect texture. Do yourself a favor and try it! read more

They have containers of made in house marinara (7.95) and meat sauce so you can purchase everything you need to cook up a pot of pasta. For dessert they have tiramisu, pistachio and ricotta or Torta Della Nonna by Bindi. The frozen pizza has unique toppings. I bought the zucchini and at home the pizza baked up to perfection. The pizza was thin and the crust came out crunchy. I loved it. I also bought a tray of lasagna that was frozen. You let it defrost a little and then bake it in the oven. So easy to make and so good. The store offers items in frozen and refrigerated cases and shelves of a few Italian cooking staples. We've always allowed our son to eat here when we go for beer or pizza at PSM. Today we tried it out. When we walked up they had a fan blowing on about 10 pounds of Mac pasta where customers could easily walk by and touch it. It was on the outside of the kitchen area where customers walk up and down the strip. When we placed our order I turned to my spouse and asked if I should try the pork belly, the person taking my order just shook his head no. He didn't explain why? Could it be that he thought it was gross (why would you serve it then?) could it be that you don't have any? We'll never know. He said if you want pork I suggest the bacon. So fine, I got the bacon, chicken, corn, caramelized onions, and red peppers. The "caramelized onions" were chopped red onions that were far from caramelized. They were crunchy. It would've been nice if there was a little bit more cheese on it but overall, we really enjoyed the sandwich. The only downside to this location is that it is a shared parking lot with Bella Italia so parking can be somewhat of a challenge. Overall, the food was edible and the employee was friendly, but the combination of the limited menu, cleanliness issues, empty napkin dispensers, and lack of bathroom supplies made this a pretty inconvenient and unpleasant experience.
